Still, tastes a little undercooked and yeasty for my palate. I'd be proud to put it in the ice chest at a barbeque which is an honor in our neck o'the woods. P-Town, huh?

Off season places: Hm...

Lake Quinault Lodge (Sept-April) (if you don't mind hiking in the rain)--old lodge, over-expensive food, rooms small and a bit grubby and old, but very.... cozy. It's nice and quiet, anyway (except for the old radiators that ping and clang).

Long-beach peninsula (there are some killer B&B's there; check out Oysterville), seaside and Astoria.

Olypic peninsula, Route 101, on the east side--between Skokomish and Port Townsend... GORGEOUS... then take the Ferry and explore Seattle. Avoid west coastal cities on peninsuala.. SCARY. Aberdeen... Kurt Cobaine's hometown, total shite-hole.

Hood River is amazing all year 'round. If you've got munchkins, they have this historical train-ride that takes you up to an orchard town and back as a little day-trip. Real fun. They have a christmas train with a little dining car, you can be caroled to, and then buy a tree up at parkdale and bring it down again on the train. We loved that. Great group activity. Nice restaurants, quality food, good lodging, and really accessible to just about everywhere. A 40 minute drive, and you can see the Timberline lodge, go to various ski-areas. PLUS, if you go in the autumn, it's orchard-a-palooza out there. Pears, pears, pears.

These are places we frequent, we don't do many touristy things, just because of my people-aversion in general. Just get in your car and explore. Just stay away from the coastal range in the snowy months. :(Miranda Mayerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16576310184990799688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7514357.post-29488096733179682792007-03-15T09:34:00.000-07:002007-03-15T09:34:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7514357.post-84293681159884444492007-03-15T09:31:00.000-07:002007-03-15T09:31:00.000-07:00by the waqy CHJTS @10:41 pm, that was hilarious, I...by the waqy CHJTS @10:41 pm, that was hilarious, I sometimes feel the same way when I read the whining crap those two spew forth from their mouths.
