Awesome Haterz™

Habitat for Humanity is the winner here and the Haterz™ should feel proud. Various emails and other contacts tell me this is just the tip of the iceberg but so far:

Thse are just the "a donation has been made" I've gotten.

"EP" $100.00
DW unk
Anon unk
"pp" $200

Add to this others who didn't elect a named donation.

All in all I estimate just about $1000 went to making homes available to people who need them, qualify and are willing to work. I cannot think of a better legacy.

Put that $1000 down on the right kitchen table tonight and you could win yourself a Galina Serin™ of your very own.

Awesome work for Habitat. As for Casey, this popped up earlier on the ipod and I thought of him. Hope it happens soon! Maybe it could be the next bet...how is he going to go?

When they kick at your front door
    How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

    When the law break in
    How you gonna go?
    Shot down on the pavement
    Or waiting on death row

    You can crush us
    You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
    Oh, the guns of Brixton

    The money feels good
And your life you like it well
But surely your time will come
As in heaven, as in hell

You see, he feels like Ivan
    Born under the Brixton sun
    His game is called survivin'
At the end of the harder they come

I've seen Galina. You could spend your $1000 far better than taking that home.

  10. Please, do NOT go through the tip jar unless that is a last resort. I will cover any transaction expenses but it is better to give directly. Besides, this isn't about me. Habitat has set up a fine online donation system:

    Dawg,

You seem to be a man in the know, so please, riddle me this: should I listen to the fraudcast tonight? I'm asking if it would be worth my while.

I don't think that is asking you to divulge any super secret information you may or may not have. But even if you did, you couldn't say either way.

    Thank you.

    Thank you Eric.

    murses,
By all means listen. The content and educational value likely to far exceed any negative reinforcement his getting money will cause. In fact this is yet another case of him selling cheap.

Question about short sales and commissions:

Snowflake keeps going on about the bank refusing the $220 offer, but in this case, someone would have to pay the realtor -- I assume that would be the bank, so really, the offer was $220k - 6% = $206.8

Now, the bank has sold the property for $199k. Would there be any commissions that the bank would have to pay to make this sale?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anonymous4:33 PM

    Dawg,

Can you PLEASE inform us if there is a way to listen without it benefiting Snowflake? It's the principle. I think he makes $4 a person.

    It's at 5pm right?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

For downloads of the mp3 he makes 4 cents. I doubt he makes much more for listeners. Web advertising just isn't profitable enough to offer big bucks

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous4:41 PM

IIRC, it's $4 per 100 downloads of the completed show - so $.04 per person.

Not sure he gets anything if people dialin live.

Rob - how about a thread for the show?

I am super stoked to see all the $$$ going to HFH.

If I may soapbox for a moment, giving money is great, but HFH can use your sweat, too. If you can swing a hammer, please get out there and help. Also, many regional HFH's take donations of other kinds, such as left over building supplies and even appliances and fixtures.

Help where you can Haterz(tm), this is awesome.
