Since he switched to an evening schedule, I haven't followed up on his BS - other than hearing the teasers during the morning news.
Not only did Dr. Phil annoy me but his wide-eyed, teary audience who looked up at him like he was an evangelical preacher (think Jim Baker) and the "sensitive" son and fawning wife. I also think he belongs on the Internet. For some reason that is where his skills and appeal lie.

However, considering the potential legal action he faces, perhaps he should have gone anonymous like Tanta and C.R. until things actually blow over. The Statute of Limitations on mortgage fraud is five years. He could very well remake himself and then get a very nasty surprise in four years.

Something else to consider is Utah has a nasty little felony statute called communications fraud. One who lies on mortgage applications, but doesn't get charged by the Feds can have that little gem come after them. I wonder if California and New Mexico have similar legislation.

I'm starting to get riled up by his little return. Not that he's returning, but that not two days ago he said he would be gone from the Internet for a very long time. Maybe in Caseyland 48 hours is a long time? This sophomoric "take away" marketing worked for a while. He's going to have to step up his game if he really wants to be successful.

Ultimately, Casey is still a liar and a manipulator. He promised Keith some sort of exclusive to his story and then promptly CC'd me and at least Duane. I felt the need to give Keith some sort of exclusivity and didn't publish the message in its' entirety. But then Casey emailed a follow up, knowing I would publish it.

The Casey story is a double edged sword. If you ignore him, someone else will write about him. If you don't ignore him, you feel like an enabler.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7514357.post-56457774365945259312007-10-06T09:35:00.000-07:002007-10-06T09:35:00.000-07:00I'm dumbfounded. Dr. Phil is a real doctor and the creed is "first do no harm." The only way a TV appearance cannot prove harmful to all concerned is if there's an agent waiting to arrest him. THere are still thousands who will make it their business to see that he never ever profits from what he's done. There were a great many that were willing to let him toil in obscurity but who will also rise up in greater anger should he attempt this comeback. Hah, "comeback" as if he was ever in a place worth returning.Rob Dawghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10042154106850545479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7514357.post-67753781312533651402007-10-06T08:55:00.000-07:002007-10-06T08:55:00.000-07:00Dang Jeremy, nice find.Casey emailed me this morni...Dang Jeremy, nice find.

Casey emailed me this morning with the story.

You'll note he is doing the Dr. Phil show.
