Some won't even include rental income in the DTI calculation. Assumed insurance costs are routinely double actual expenses. But back to homes to live in. Roof good for at least 10 years? Never mind that the purchase price already incorporates such things. On and on. No wonder people are being frozen out. They can only find 3 of them, all nuts with sell prices and rents 30-50% more then real market price. I wish they where right I would be rich! LOL!<br /><br />Low mortgage rates and low lending standards do nothing but make profits today for a few and a life of debt/BK for others. IMO mortgages should not be more then a max of 4 years gross income.
