Getting Ready for the Long Weekend

Looks like Casey continues to screw up a good thing. Turning his blog about a trainwreck into a blog about a blog. A blahg if you ask me. That chat feature really screwed the pooch. He's even taken to begging for "supporterz." NPD and now I feel like an enabler.

  2. I thought the chat was great. First time I could chat with Casey and Galina. BTW, they had a really foul language....

Maybe it's just my Firefox and script blocking but I've yet to see the chat facility. Also the site was down about 30mins ago but it's back now.

  6. He took the chat down. I think he found the content not to be "clean" enough.

    Hmmm....I wonder why....

    ReplyDelete
  7. Please, for the love of all that is good, make transcripts if the chat function comes back up?

When's the first hosting bill due? Anyone know how his service provider works? Last or first of the month would be sweet!

    ReplyDelete
  9. I see that Casey has found a way to dilute the value that the Sweet Link sponsors are getting by posting Supporterz links directly below Sweet Links. So, $125 to $150 to get a link for a month or $25+ to get a link for as long as Fliptard deems it necessary. I'll have one of neither, please.

The chat was obviously not staying up long. Not with all the talk about Galina! Could Casey have made money off it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Anonymous7:58 AM

Casey would not have made money on the chat. But Galina could have. Especially if she added a webcam

    ReplyDelete

Too bad the chat room went down - good times!

Sigh - my balls are still blue and I am still a virgin. Galina told me that there is a four year waiting period for consumation of our marriage - less than 12 sweet months to go!

    R-Boy: QUE es muy importante?

no seas asi!

  39. Anonymous11:18 AM

Sigh...now I'm gonna be hitting refresh all weekend until you guys spill the beans. This sounds very interesting!

You all have been hanging out with Casey too much, with all these cliffhangers...

    (runs away ducking)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous11:19 AM

You guys have to spill - I am going out of town for a week...

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous11:20 AM

    Oh, it's EVIL alright.

    But here's the thing:
Whatever it is, I'm certain it will be revealed in due course. Much like the Duane emails, it might not be as fast as we would like, but the payoff will come, unlike with Slowflake (tm), who always just "intends to think about considering looking into the possibility " of actually doing something.

Todo a su tiempo, en su hora, y en su momento.

With that, I bid you adieu... turns out that the vicodin ain't cutting it for my toothache, so I'm heading in for an emergency root canal this afternoon. Nothing like oral surgery to kick off a long Holiday weekend. Have fun fellers. I'll catch up laters.

Probably four - Casey to his Marine brother, the Marine brother to a senior Marine officer, a senior Marine officer to a Marine general, the Marine general to Karl Rove.

    Simple, no?

    Yo R-Boy,

Dawg has my email if you be wantin to contact me fo sumtin.

    Love,

    Homey

PS. Serin, still waiting to file your taxes? I was in Atlanta three weeks. Lovely time of year to be in the South. Even caught a Braves/Phillies game.

I found some time to stop in and chat with a certain agency. Convenient office in downtown on Peachtree by the Coke building. They are waiting to receive your 1040 with baited breath.

PSS. Hint, when you owe taxes, you have to pay the quarterly part. There is no "extension", without penalty and/or payment. It's still owed.

    I suggest:
    Declan McCullagh
    ?
    Michael Powell (FCC commissioner)
    Colin Powell
    Karl Rove

Since Michael Powell is now on the Cisco board, there should be any number of possibilities for "?".

    @ ALL
Oh, and Casey will get his can of whoop a$$ now. The IRS is not very patient or malleable. There is a 10% self employment tax (beg-athons and sweet links) and along with the mortgage forgiveness money percentages due. Additionally, do not forget the cash back at closing income.
Dancing monkey now has a real Federal monkey on his back. They garnish future earnings and can go into his bank account and take his money out. All of it. If he has it in the bank and not in a coffee can buried in his 'sister in laws' back-yard.
Do you all think he will blog about his IRS adventure?
    Signed,

    I'm envious. Snowflake made $110,000 on May 11, 2007.

Oh, my bad, the Larchmont house sold at auction for $110,000 less than what is owed to the bank. Snowflake will just get a 1099 for $110,00 from the bank.

So, will Mark aka "G Money Man" be on tonight's Fraudcast? Where's that Snowflake free link to the webcast.

I think the IRS angle for '06 is a no go...

He quit his job early in the year and had very little income.

Cashback at closing is a loan and not taxible.

He made almost no money on the house he sold & wrapped

He will get a 1099 from the texas foreclosure.

He did a miserable job monitozing his blog...no money there.

He had a few odd contract jobs (Chris, CD duping, etc.) that I bet the IRS wont' get a 1099 for.

Unless there's more than meets the eye, I'd think CS gets a refund.

  74. FMW,

Self-employment tax is not 10%. Closer to 15%. It varies somewhat because it's 15.3% on amounts up to $94K and 2.9% on amounts above that. Oh, and just to make it more complex, it only is assessed on 92.35% of your total self-employment income.

This is meant to make it accurately parallel the way taxes would be assessed in a W-2 scenario. And is just another example of how our tax system is designed to take as much as possible while pretending not to...
