Future's So Bright I Gotta Wear Chains

I study real estate science
I love my classes
I got a crazy teacher, he wears dark glasses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, there are no grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades

I've got no job waiting for graduation
Fifty thou all passive -- buys a lot of massive
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades

Well I'm heavenly blessed and worldly wise
I'm a peeping-tom techie with x-ray eyes
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades

Now I teach flipper science
I love my classes
Now I'm the crazy teacher, that wears dark glasses
Things are going great, and they're only getting better
I'm doing all right, getting good grades
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
I gotta wear shades, I gotta wear shades

okay, i've said little if anything about the CS debacle lately. Here's my only contribution:

I hereby nominate Casey Serin as the Biggest Douche in the Universe.

Seriously, he's turned his own wife into a haterz... I hope she gets legal, financial and emotional help from qualified professionals.

Further, I hope that he spends the remainder of his twenties and most of his thirties in jail and penniless. The remainder of his life should be spent taking orders from a pimple faced teenager telling him the fries were over cooked and the burgers were poorly flipped.

You had a previous post about how upset you were that Casey was blaming Galina for invading his privacy. I wasn't sure what that meant, but then the CNET interview came out later and the end of it seems to be appropriate. Did you have access to that prior to the release? Was that foreshadowing? This post?? Maybe I'm reading too much into things.

"And check this out, it’s funny because I used their payments to live on for a while because check this out, I stopped making payments on my 6 properties at that time in August. Hee hee hee."
    -Casey- what a creep

"And I started defaulting and I was still receiving $3500 checks from them for 1 2 3 months. So I was living on that money.

Unfortuately that maybe had not been been the best thing to do..well I really don’t know if there are any moral issues with that but basically they were still paying me but I wasn’t paying the lender. That really came in handy.
That one got foreclosed on." -Casey

Who was casey getting money from? There are too many payments for it to be the wrap. I thought that he never leased his properties?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Anonymous12:35 PM

Jerry, the $3500/mo was a 9 mo lease-back from the builder on the Guadalajara house.

    Croc,

While "cash back at closing" deals are generally illegal, "builder lease backs" are a standard practice.

They are usually used when someone wants to buy a model home in a development. The buyer and builder complete the sales transaction, with a parallel contract where the builder leases it back from the buyer so they can continue to use it as a show home.

Not a bad deal if you are buying the house because you genuinely want to live in it, and you don't mind waiting up to a year.

More risky if you are buying the house as an "investment" opportunity.

  19. I "telegraph" all the time. It keeps even the regulars truly a little mystified. This case however no. If I colored the shirt blue? Maybe. Anyway at this point sometime no longer than 78 days from now there will be a flight and a passenger and at least someone waiting for the arrival. Opinion; no way he's there for 90 days. Opinion; there's no way he re-enters the US without a yellow flag. Remember lots of the LE contacts were urging patience because "he wasn't going anywhere." Make fools of people with guns, cells and color of authority at your peril.

I can imagine worse: "Constantine, there seem to be some discrepancies. Names don't exactly match, there are yellow flags on some of the names. There are multiple names in our database and on your personal identifcation. All we have for certain is your 1994 immigration status with an open file. Perhaps the best way to handle this is for you to go to your last known nation of citizenship until we can straighten this all out. Oh and as to that last... apparently the Uzbeck Draft Board never got your exemption. That's the good news. You flight is leaving from the military base in just a few hours, your fellow countrymen are anxious to meet you. Come with these men please."

At 17:30 of Day 1, (Part 2 of 2), Casey is asked what his parents did for a living during the time Casey had his own condo at age 19 (roughly 2001-2002).

Casey replies, "Well... I don't remember what they were doing... umm... errr... I'm gonna have to go back and ask them. My parents, though, they work really hard..."

Does anyone hear *not* know what their parents did for a living five years ago?!? Yeah, thought so.

I have a strong feeling that Casey will be back to the USA in 1-2 weeks tops.

Not only will Casey be back, but Mama Serin & Ganlina Serin will be fighting with each other as to who will hug him first.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous12:49 PM

In addition, at the start of Day 1 (Part 2 of 2), Casey shows a remarkable lapse in memory as to when he and Galina first met. He literally has to think about it for a while, but ultimately gives a vague answer of sometime in late 2002 / early 2003. (They got married on 4/3/2004).

Again, my own parents (who have been married for 32 years) can still name the exact month they met and the event where they first met NEARLY FORTY YEARS AGO. Sociopath Serin can't do the same for a few years ago.

For the troll that keeps saying that his wife and family will welcome him back: They won't. Seriously.

He's not going to make money while in Australia. Besides that, I believe the damage he has done to every relationship in his life is so tremendous and traumatic that his family will be very wary of any interaction with him.

If his wife won't even take his phone calls, then she sure as hell won't be waiting at the gate to hug him before the men in black take his lily ass to jail.

I wonder if he'll make a show of it. Will he run from them? Hide? Take hostages by wrapping the murse strings around someone's neck and threatening to de-vein them with his corporate credit card?

He has delusions of grandeur even in his criminality. Very "Catch Me If You Can" wannabe...

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Casey never planned to use the cashback money to pay the mortgages for these houses. Even when he had a hard time flipping them he still didn't pay a dime. He used the money for travel, funtime and eats.

He would rather let them go through foreclosure than use the Cashback money, even though he did try to sell them using the "How to sell your home in 5 days" - some book he read you can buy on Amazon.

I did think it was great how Declan picked up on Casey sounding down. He caught him and Casey had a very tough time finding his excuse.

And Casey doesn't sound "down" because of all the "crazy stuff" going on. He made all of those decisions himself. He sounds down because he's lost control and he's coming to the realization that his world is crashing down around him and there's nothing he can do. He's realizing that people see him for what he is and that fewer and fewer people will be fooled or manipulated.

I think there is a bad ending for the hobbit in the near future... He won't last long in his current frame of mind.

This, alone, is reason for her getting out of that marriage.

    From IAFF:

Added for clarity: My entrepreneur adventures are putting a big strain on our relationship. Even though she has been very supportive through all of this, everybody has a limit.

You see, I unintentionally gave her the impression that I was successful when we were dating (I still had some money left from from my first condo flip).

Later, right before the wedding, she found out that I was really “broke as a joke”. I even bought the ring on a credit card and went into debt for the marriage expenses. She came into the relationship with no debt and excellent credit expecting stability and married into a financial storm without really knowing it.

She also expected for me to pay for college so she can finish her 4-year degree. Her parents were paying for it before but stopped as soon as she got married. I told her not to worry about it. I have it under control.

I find this a little odd, too. She seemed content to look the other way and live off of ill gotten gains until she had to get a job and her name started coming up.

Why is this excused now that Admiral Douchebag broke up with her? Even if she wasn't directly involved with it, she knew what was going on this entire time. That's why she wanted off of the mortgages.

They've been knowingly living off of what amounts to stolen money. Would it be different if it was drug money?

    Question in search of speculation:

I think it is tremendously convenient that in the span of only a few hours, Casey receives both an offer of lodging in Australia, and an offer of enough money to just cover a one-way ticket to Oz.

There has been some speculation that the money did not really come from an outside source; that Casey either received it as a bribe from his family or he dipped into a previously untapped pool of savings. I don’t personally think either of these theories are correct.

If the timeline we have been fed is correct, the following events occurred:

5/31 – 6/1: Casey tweaks and retweaks the IAFF “gone forever” page
6/1: Casey makes his Friday LameCast from an undisclosed friends’ house.
6/2: Casey and Galina and all four parents have a family dinner.
6/2 – 6/4: Casey and Galina spend time making up.
6/4: Casey tells Galina that Marty has threatened to sue unless he brings the blog back.
6/5: Casey leaves Galina and spends night with parents.
6/6: Casey claims to receive an offer to stay in Australia.
6/6: Casey claims to receive an offer of CAD$1000 to bring the blog back up.
6/6: Casey tells Galina he is leaving for Australia.
6/6 @ 3:28 PM: The blog comes back up.

I think that it is quite possible that Casey lied about the exact timing of events between 6/4 and 6/6, but I believe in general that he did suddenly get offered a way out that hadn’t been available to him before. I suspect Casey was manipulated into leaving for Australia by someone who wanted to get him out of the picture.

So, Casey goes online and prices tickets to Australia. For around USD$900 he sees he can fly out of Sacramento on United, connect to Air New Zealand in SFO, and then fly to Melbourne. Even better, he sees he can instantly buy an Australian visa online here for AUS$20.

My question is; who set him up. Someone baited the hook, waved it in front of him, and got snowflake to leave the country. Even better, he is now eight thousand miles from home, stripped of his enablers, completely at the mercy of his hosts, living on a 90-day visa that is ticking down daily, and looking at minimum USD$1500 for a ticket home.

I haven’t seen much speculation on this here, but I think that tracking down the source of the $1000 CAD and who his host is will be at least as interesting as tracking down Marty as the publisher.

In my mind, we've proven Casey guilty of so many things beyond a reasonable doubt there's no use expending effort further digging his ditch. It's dug.

Look, I waffle back and forth on this whole issue of what G knew and did not know. When I was a about 20,a little younger than her, I ended up living with I guy I met and thought I was in love with for the next seven years. His family had a diagnosed history of Manic Depressive Disorder. My own father was a Shrink. This guy had his first manic espisode the year he turned 25. When you are as young as G sometimes events, just seem to sweep you away - like the pending marriage, at that age you are terrified to back out. Plus these guys are charming and so slick and you are so naive and blind. Eventually you get to a mental state where you are stuggling so hard to do damage control on the situation that you don't stop to even think. You become co-dependent and just as ill as the person you are with. Returning to a logical, unemotional state of mind take time. Then one day you look back and say to yourself OH MY GOD WHAT WAS I THINKING! I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and would also donate some Casey Proof Cash.

I don't think the Aus. thing had to have come up the same day - someone could have been talking to him randomly and said he could come stay at some point. Seems like it's time to close EN in my browser for a while. Now we have conspiracy theories with the FBI or a mysterious third party sending Casey to Australia? C'mon - he has a corporate credit card, he just needs to charge the $1,500.

If the feds were moving in, it's not going to be an elaborate "send Casey to AUS" type move.

And I agree with other posts - where is the motivation for the mysterious third party? Even if Galina is being "protected" by someone who sent Casey half way across the world, are you telling me that they got someone in AUS to put him up for three months? I don't buy it.

Not to mention, Casey certainly has cash - from the coffee can he buried in the back yard at Y's house.

Ok, well, let's give that statement the benefit of the doubt. Is it so hard to imagine, then, that G- pretty young, possibly sheltered, defiantly still maturing, could have been convinced by Casey to use these cards as 'seed money'. Is it hard to imagine him saying that these seminars will unlock untold thousands for the both of them? Could she be greedy and lazy? Well sure, but those are subordinate to her devotion to him (hence support) and her concept of how a wife behaves-- which is to say, a wife's charge is to support her husband in all manners, and his is to love and provide for unconditionally. It is not hard for me to imagine her being charmed away of her credit cards. Hey- the fact that she had all those cards sitting in a drawer unused actually shows that she has a fair degree of financial responsibility, for many her age would have maxed them out soon after assignment!

    ReplyDelete

I think her complicity in this is certainly in question, despite what r-boy has heard. "You can't force a spouse to testify against their spouse. Ex's are freegame!"

This question has come up before. What Christopher wrote is true for the spousal privilege, but that's only half the picture. There's also the separate marital communications privilege, which allows Casey to keep Galina from testifying about any communications between them that occurred during their marriage, even if they are divorced at the time of the legal proceeding. For the marital communications privilege, it's not Galina's choice whether she testifies, it's Casey's, and the privilege survives the marriage.

Purely under the spousal privilege, it would be Galina's choice whether to testify as long as they were married, and she could be compelled to testify once they were divorced.

The bottom line is Casey can keep Galina from testifying, but this is all a red herring anyway. There is no real need for her testimony given Buttflake's verbal diarrhea.
