But... but... -Earthquakes!-

This is the time of year when it is still safe and not particularly cruel to give back a little of the "why do you live there?" dished out to California the rest of the year.  Don't worry.  There are no less than 5 anti California rants in the hopper.

  6. I'd arrange to have you picked up and dropped off at LAX if you and hubs ever visit. Make a must visit list and let's make it happen.

  11. In 5-8 years we all slightly better than poor types will be crawling into our motor homes at 2 am and telling the pilot auto to get us to Yosemite then going to the back and going back to sleep.

  16. Good Morning!

I don't drive more then that anymore at about 68-70 MPH. See America, get an unlimited data plan to keep in touch. Satellite maps are great to pre drive where you are going including parking lots. I-10 doesn't have snowy mountains to deal with either.

  17. Full employment numbers are a false indicator driven by part time jobs. Hours worked peaked a few years ago and are down, still flat. No wage pressure still. Inflation is everywhere but FED cherry picking leads them to blind.

  25. If you don't look at qualifying details. Yes, Have you met my pet unicorn? :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. No, post a picture.
Lower is better than higher, no?

    ReplyDelete
  27. It is very messed up. You could have 2% U3 and a huge population not working, many having 2-3 part time jobs. Then what is full time? It used to be considered 40 Hrs a week. That being said and average of part time and full time means there are more part time jobs then full time when the average hours worked comes out to 34.4 a week. This also includes overtime which is probably very little anymore. I think it is easy to miss as they count jobs not individual people. Hours worked show us that the labor pool is plentiful and there is no shortage to create wage pressure. IMO.

Sorry no pic my unicorn is out being groomed right now. :)

What kind of help? I bet it is part time and the churn rate is high.

  32. I would be happy with more money as long as I could stay a nobody. These guys want money, "Look at me" and power.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wait. I'm poor and without power. Then again I've never known someone who looked rich who stayed rich. Likewise all the people I know who I know are rich have never looked like it. There's something I'm missing.

    1. You are too, rich. The truly rich don't care. I would like to look at some well dressed people, as long as it isn't me that has to make the effort all the time.

  38. Good Morning!

Buffet is really a Scrooge and doesn't spend his money. Others who piss it away are really returning their profits improving the velocity.

I don't need to make money but it keeps me busy and I lack nothing. Fun is finding deals, refurbish on the cheap and have more toys. Extravagantly cheap.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, how is velocity doing? Hasn't been mentioned in a while. Read an Ole Dawg post from 2006 about foreclosures from when the wave was about to break. Interest to see the change of writing style.
