  1. Hi Liz. I'm going to guess that you let your dear husband go to places like this and you pretend that you like them too. I took like 40 pictures there and if your hubs is really interested I will post them where you can show them to him without clogging this blog.

  2. Actually he is a rail road fan and he drags me to railroad museums. I rode on a bike once, and it was fun. His dad used to take him to the station to watch the freights Rumble by. Will ask about bikes. ANY other blog friends get burnt down? If I lived in Santa Rosa not sure I'd rebuild, destruction too vast. We got our Andew check quickly. Not so sure that it will be true this time

  10. But he can't tell one leaf from another. He knows a tomato plant by the smell.

  11. Is the air bad where you are?

  12. Fire questions answered.

The Anaheim fire is contained and nothing but haze is in the air. Worse than normal but no worse than it gets sometimes without a fire.

Ventura and SB counties plus a large chunk of LA are on Red Flag alert as Santa Ana (Santana) winds are building through Sunday. No fires but if one starts it would be bad.

Winds up north are going to move around and be tough for the firefighters. They are stretched thin and tired.

Expect the death toll and property loss totals to grow as destroyed areas are revisited.

  15. The winds and heat have taken a toll on the avocados. Hundreds of tennis ball sized babies have dropped off the trees.

  16. Omg, Dawg is all of kali gonna burn down. You can't evacuate L A. If I lived there, I'd get the hell out right. With a carload of mementos.

  17. Liz, you might note that none of the Cali posters here live in LA. People who live there are to dumb to post here.

  18. An emergency evacuation order was given for large parts of the town of Sonoma early Saturday morning, as the Nuns Fire swept out of the hills into the flatlands, burning homes and threatening wineries.

The winds started picking up around 1 a.m. just east of Sonoma, but a little before 3 a.m., “that’s when the hill exploded,” said a Cal Fire firefighter, who declined to give his name because he was not authorized to speak publicly.

Officials in Sonoma County issued mandatory evacuation orders for parts of the Sonoma Valley early Saturday morning.

  20. I tell you, next, Canada will attack

  21. Tom is likely to sell me a vineyard. Note. A vineyard is NOT a winery.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh. Liz says she's sorry and aims a sad look onto the electrons that go your way. Well, a vineyard then.

  23. Wow, I hadn't thought about Sonoma real estate investments until you mentioned Tom Stone. It will be interesting to see how much prices are affected by the fires.

I noticed a front page ad for a local bank advertising personal, 24 hour approval loans at 7.17%. With banks paying 1.5 -1.75% for 1 yr CDs, they must be doing well. (Two year CD are about 2%)

Can Liz's 5% mortgages be coming soon?

  31. Go to the hardware store.
Buy a new plastic trash can.
    You need one anyway.
    Fill it from the hose.
    Survive.
Plus you have a new trash can.

  33. Don't forget generations of gangbabgers in Kali. Failure to assimilate to the American way. Haven't heard of Irish gangs ruling the streets. A Kali experience you must experience to understand.
