You Wanted Pictures

Make that a double cheeseburger. It has taken two weeks for the scars to look this good. No matter what you may think, you didn't want to see them before this. Above is the scar from removal of my radial artery. This and about three feet of leg vein along with the rerouting of the mammary artery are busy keeping my heart pumping. Quadruple bypass is like walking out in front of a truck and depending on a team to put you back together. Worse the medications are so powerful my liver is too busy with them and the post-surgery tissue repairs to allow any wine for weeks if not months. Will I live longer? Likely but regardless it sure will seem longer.

I'm kind of worried that's what my arm will look like after my future cellmate shanks me... my experience is that most people quickly tire of hearing me preach the Gospel of Kiyosaki, and will do anything to shut me up. ;-)

No more tri-tip for you, Bobbo.

healing nicely, very good.

didn't want to show off the mid-sternal scar, huh?

The surgeon spent a few extra minutes and gave me dissolving subcutaneous nerdle work. It is purty. I'll show as soon as the last of the tough skin peels off.

That looks painful.
Add some fishnets and you could gain a cult following if you submit your photos to ModBlog.

My sister has already suggested I use the excuse; "Dude! The shark was three times as long as my board!"

I'll be okay with "diet & exercise" but I can't wait to get off the medications (8) and cleared for driving (Tuesday?).

That's it! I'm going on a diet! Anyway, glad you're recovering.

Perfect for the heroin addict in your family! You can always cover it with body art!

Well, that came out wrong. I did not mean that you or your family are heroin addicts. What a poor choice of words. But you may want to consider it.

Lost,
No problem, I knew what you meant.

Winston,
Try 8 hours of open heart surgery. I've lost 16 lbs in two weeks. Of course that weight might have had something to do with 6 blockages limiting my physical activity.

I hope your recovery goes well!
