Location Location Location

One is $550k. the other is $265k. The difference? One is in Camarillo on 3,039 sf lot and the other on a 9,464 sq ft lot in Palmdale. No points for putting the correct asking price to each.

Yup! you win! Free house in Palmdale.

Would the rent on the place in Palmdale cover the HOA's and the prop taxes/ins? Some times you should look a gift horse in the mouth.

Both look like P.O.S.

My wife would kill me if I showed her a potential home with 80 percent garage sticking out the front. Shoot, I had to have the garage doors on the side of the house when we built even if it made backing up a pia.

On that toy lot, how long until they add a level or two above them to rent out? West coast version of a "triple decker" like your old haunt Dawg...

2) BIG BLOG SPLASH
3) Back off as employer brings down the smack for slacking off / attracting too much attention
4) Take down blog
5) Get bored / quit job / get the boot
5) Fire up another blog launch
6) Descend into manic lunacy
7) Disappear for another 6 months

"home with 80 percent garage sticking out the front"

Sort of reminds me of the homes I saw outside of Munich.

All it needs is an "Ausgang Freihalten!" sticker on the garage door.

And why not add an extra story to get a decent amount of living space?

They really are lovely garages, but I'd like to see what the houses looks like.

Rob, did you catch the piece in the VCStar about Kirby Jeep losing it's dealership even though they are debt free. Nothing like the Obama version of the free market.

PV,
They are called "Snout Houses" or "snouties" for short. They are the result of some incredibly poor urban planning rules that push density and eschew alleys and deep lots and narrow street r-o-w.

"w",
Yes, waiting for the GM list today to discuss them all together.
