I think we have flowers like the pink one only they are yellow or orange.

Snowboarders flying through the air.

LBD said...

No flowers this time of year but we Have snow angels! Our Cocker Spaniel loves burring her nose in the fresh snow and rolls on her back!

My dachshund doesn't like the cold weather. She's short haired

My cat wants to sneak out even more.

Lawyerliz said...

The cat is convinced she would like grapefruit. I let her smell it, she goes away and then comes back. What I like must be something she must like.

In New England the indentured servants rebelled over being served too much lobster.

Lawyerliz said...

The Lewis & Clarke expedition wanted dog rather than salmon from the west coast Indian.

Lawyerliz said...

I guess you can get tired of any thing. Although I am not a lobster fiend.
I'm thinking of doing one of those meal service things.

Henh, henh, what if Nort Korean man wanted to make up with South Korea, but only if we and Trump were not involved. Unlikely, but. . .

Lawyerliz said...

The sister is pretty

LBD said...

Good Morning!

North Korea wants S. Korea all to it's self, Not a good idea.

My little Yorkie doesn't like the snow or cold, we have to watch her closely.

Rob Dawg said...

South Korea should just surrender to the Norks. How would that play out?

LBD said...

A nuke nut with capitalism to fuel his war efforts. Just like big brother China, the sleeping dragon.

Lawyerliz said...

Maybe it would be the opposite.

LBD said...

You tube has some very interesting videos of NK. Everything comes from their blessed leader. The world spins around him, 3rd generation of conceited nut.

More pics would be nice.

Mmm ememememe!

There's still a state law that you can't serve the hell lobster more than 3 times a week

Lawyerliz said...

First batch.

Good Morning!

Crazy DOW!

Rob Dawg said...

I believe the markets are setting the hook for retail investors.

Lawyerliz said...

And you think capitalism is great?

LBD said...

Yes! It's not for the lazy mind or back.

LBD said...

Dow bouncing back? or is RD right about the skinning coming? Stay tuned.

Lawyerliz said...

Set the hook?

Lawyerliz said...

Interesting that these investors want wages not to go up as this might increase interest rates. These selfish twits are not to be admired. Yelled wanted inflation to go up, this is the best way to do it. Although, I don't get the the inflation thing myself.

LBD said...

Good Morning!

Wages should go up on ability and not some part of a puzzle the economist needs for their own rational. Here's an idea stop importing more poverty and fix what we have. =:0

Lawyerliz said...

Yep. Wages should go up with productivity.
They haven't.
I don't care about productivity.
It only benefits the rich. They are already benefited, and it's bad for most
Of them, and society too.
Raise wages!

LBD said...

Quit turning out educated illiterates. Productivity has almost zero to do with employees. Machines increase productivity and should not be confused with labor.
IMO

Lawyerliz said...

Not do I agree with that. But. Who's gonna buy the stuff. My great great grand was illiterate. Didn't stop him from being smart, fighting in the Civil war and getting a job afterwards.

Lawyerliz said...

I can't believe there are no new posts.

LBD said...

Education does not make you smart. It does short cut the learning process if you want to learn. If you don't you pay your money (student loan) and drag your self through school and probably end up with a degree of uselessness. Since the civil war, simple jobs like ditch digging have been replaced by machines increasing productivity. I am Illiterate by education standards but I think my efforts show I am smart.

RD is still on a well deserved Vacation and it is up to us to carry on till he returns.

Almost caught up! And wow, so many housing/econ stories that aren't being told. Mrs Dawg and I are doing Valentines tonight as she will be away on business Wed/Thur. That will be my return to regular posts and other stuff. To tell the truth part is the gardens are/were screaming for early spring attention. 9 different tomatoes in pots for now. Thinking another 8-10 more varieties this year. The exotics and heirlooms are popular and tasty. When you can buy a quart of grape tomatoes for $1 and all the normal kinds almost year round it is about the specials and not the size of the harvest. I'm also swamped getting the garden shed of spousal exile to the next level. A library ladder for the loft, new shelving, framing my modest photos. Remind me to show you my latest set of four reproductions. Boston Harbor 1700s and 1978. California Coastline charts 1600s and 1800s. Cool counterpoints.

He was a garbage man. There are still garbage men. He lived to be 86 and my mother loved him. He eventually got an excellent govt pension.

Lawyerliz said...

Hey I've been doing my part.

Lawyerliz said...

That's some shed. Does it have a Jacuzzi and a bowling alley?

LBD said...

I wanted to do a short practice bowling alley but I don't have any more room. Besides I just need to go practice at the bowling alley. I found out it's only $1.50 a game with senior league discount.

Three man garbage truck now is a one man operation.

Lawyerliz said...

Does it have. . . . Permits?

Lawyerliz said...

He died in about 1930.

LBD said...

Permits, Voluntary tax.

Rob Dawg said...

Yes, there is a jacuzzi. How did you know? No bowling alley but I am considering a putting green.

Lawyerliz said...

A loft in a shed? All kidding aside?

With increased use of robotics and AI, my friends and I were discussing the likelihood of a future where there are simply no "low skill" jobs available for humans. Thus far, each technology shift has opened created new industries -- shift from buckboards to automobiles -- trains to planes -- agriculture to assembly line.

Is there a point where "low skill" means "robotic"? And if/when we reach that point, how does society handle it? If/when machines ultimately can provide food, shelter, clothing, transportation and communication with little to no human input - what happens to the workplace?

If retail is all warehouses and drones? If fast food is self-entry kiosks with automated food prep? If truckers are replaced by self-driving machines? Where is income generated for the masses to buy the stuff the robots are making?

Rob Dawg said...

The loft is across the back third of the vaulted ceiling at the other end from the sliding glass wall topped by a half circle arch window. Approximately over the marble countertops. And no, I am not exaggerating.

LBD said...

Simply put we will have the ultimate government (business) control. Anti riot payments for income will be issued in mass as they are now on a smaller scale. People become what many are now. I can see it, Reward points for spending all of your government issued electrons.

Boy's and their sheds. My pool house/garden shed will slowly be finished. RD wins as I am not going as extravagant but comfort. Mine also is a Salt box with a storage level and ceiling high sky light wall. 10'x16 in two sections pool house has a patio door. Tank heat for now and probably A/C some day.

New post.
[Posted from my 28x12 vaulted and lofted shed. Did I mention the 2x6 construction?]
