Goosing the PCE

First time I've ever owned a new washer or dryer.  Not too bad to install.  Fancy.  Sends a text alert to my phone when the cycles are completed.

Edit to add garden flowers today.  Yes, today.

Nice, does it transfer the wash to the dry too?

That’s the laundry fairies right? Don’t you have those?

I updated the post to offer flowers to Liz for my being a poor host.

I guess I do, sort of. She does the laundry but I grease the car!

Nice flower pics. Little early for flowers here but the snow from months ago is now melted down to the 3" ice flow under it.

When I found out the truth it was like Santa and the Easter Bunny. Maybe after a day to cope tomorrow will be better. ;).

Good Morning!

Next your going to tell that tax dollars are not pennies from heaven and that somebody really does pay them. It's great to be poor, I'm loving it! Taxes came out great again and we get property tax relief! Tax the rich! LOL!

Lost another kid deduction to independence. That deduction hurt a bit. Still did okay.

Watched a PBS clip this AM from 8-17 that stated the upper middle class house hold income line was $117K. Blew passed that in the 90's.

so barely enough to buy a house is upper middle class now?

I guess, once again we are ALMOST middle class. Does. 105 to 110 count if up have no car or house payments?? THANKS FOR THE FLOWERS

Not everywhere is Cali. However at unitarian snacks tome, it was agreed that none at the table could afford our own homes.

Liz, the fires and Insurance money have caused rents to spike by 40% in Sonoma County.
And it wasn't cheap before that.
I have a nice little Vineyard Estate listed that rented for $5K a month on a one year lease which was up last month.
Current market rent would be $10K per month and there would be no problem finding a qualified tenant.
$120K a year in rent.
Should I mention that 40% of the population here lives in poverty?
Nah, that might affect rents...

In Flyover you can buy a nice house in a small city on that income. Kali keeps digging a bigger hole till it falls in on it's self. I personally think $117K income is low.

OT, in the last post TJ and the Bear claimed that there were 15 Million AR style rifles in the USA.
The actual numbers are hard to come by, but the late Kevin RC O'Brien did the work needed ( No small endeavor) to come up with a reasonably accurate number.
24 Million.
The claim that AR's are not suitable for hunting is simply not true as even a casual google search will show.
It's a modular design and available in something like 40 chamberings.

And those who believe that banning AR's ( Guns of any type) would reduce crime are assuming that violent criminals wouldn't buy them on the black market...because that would be against the law.

Good thing you have the barn equivalent of the garden shed of spousal exile.

I would additionally assert that hunting game bigger than rabbits, it is inhumane to not use a semi-automatic rifle as it reduces needless suffering. Oh, and in wilderness situations it is foolish to not have the capability.

Now that my laundry is smarter then me I know it is only a short matter of time before the autonomous RV will be taking me from charging station to charging station to National Park whilst we enjoy each others' company in the back. There are three really massive breakthroughs very close. Solid state batteries. Wide spectrum solar cells. Thin flexible polymer solar substrates. If solid state batteries and one of the other two pan out an RV would be collecting more than a third of the energy being expended in normal conditions. During daylight of course.

I love how bump stocks are the new evil after the shooting where no bump stock was used. Classic liberal agenda where all they have is a hammer so everything looks like a nail.

Excellent information. Thanks.

I will endeavor to find out what high end rents are here after the fires that took out 600 homes that I suspect were no less than $900k and often close to $2m. All those people need a place to rent and insurance to pay for it.

Clearly headed for a reset rather than backing off the insanity.

Here is a graph for you all to chew on.

I wonder how much different the graph would be if it started in 1970.
