Hot l Baltimore

It sure is sad to see the quality of HCN posting spiral in.  The latest is a moot discussion about RevPAR and occupancy.  Moot because the assumptions are all wrong  Let's look at the Data.

2000
Occupancy - 63 percent
$97 billion in sales
Total hotel rooms - 4.1 million
53,500 properties
Average room rate - $85.89

2006
63.1% average occupancy rate
$122.7 billion in sales
4,402,466 guestrooms
47,590 properties
$122.7 billion in sales
$57.36 revenue per available room (RevPAR)
2011
60.0% average occupancy rate
$137.5 billion in sales
51,214 properties
4,874,837 guestrooms
$61.05 revenue per available room (RevPAR)
2012 is shaping up to be a much better year still.

I took (what I thought would be) a short break in late summer.

Then, because I got a full time jobs with limited i-net, I found out "you know what, I don't miss arguing with retards".
