WASS Sandy Edition
NYT - Cuomo’s $30 billion disaster plan called for $3.5 billion to repair infrastructure like bridges and tunnels; $1.65 billion would help rebuild homes, and another $1 billion for overtime costs.
$3.4b + $1.65b + $1b = $30b.
$30 billion is 100,000 totaled $300,000 homes. Total bull. Just a kitchen sink play.

Experts agree; free money is the best kind...
If a storm wrecks my 18 year old Lincoln, surely the insurance company will buy me a shiny new Bugatti Veyron, right?
Cuomo certainly has a pair of brass ones.
Obama's asking for $60B+ for everything (NY, NJ, etc.) -- just barely what would be covered by the higher rates on rich people.
Great point TJ.
I think Rob forgot that $24 billion is for "underwater" pensions.
