This shows the percent change in median houshold income US 2000-12. Outrageous.

Besides the shale effect, any chance this 2000 to 2012 change is due to the decline in married households as a percent of all households? Marriage has declined in numbers, divorce is roughly 40%, illegitimacy is 40% and the rate of households led by a single parent (25% of which are dads now) all could be pulling that number down.

Okay, but the graphs say manufacturing and capacity utilization are still lagging behind. Is this all related to the shale oil boom?
