Report Like the Lamestream Misleadia

Horrors On The White House Grounds

Washington D.C. - In front of dozens of children President Donald Trump proceeded to bite the head off of a bunny and spout extremist platitudes and play to his religious zealot supports.  Breaking with tradition of an Easter egg hunt on the east lawn for the under privileged, this year's attendees had an average net worth of several millions of dollars.  As the unwitting dupes of this heinous publicity stunt searched for Scotch mallows and other similarly racist and religiously insensitive treats an unnamed member of the reporting pool observed that the event was in keeping with Trump's oft mentioned desire to have people work for benefits.

And in case I appear to harsh, the news cycle this morning is reporting that Trump's airbase attack is a failure because aircraft are taking off again.  One went to far as to suggest it is alright for Assad to bomb his people, just not gas them.

I this the bomb ok , gas not is actually our policy, and has been at least since WWI. Maybe because it is uglier? dunno, doesn't make sense.

Too bad planes can take off. Media suggesting we should bomb more.? Make more holes in tarmac?

Lawyerliz said...

Tomahawk replacements will cost more and they will want twice as many, so as not to run out.

I'm good with making a point and letting the other shoe remain a question mark. Uncertainty is a great asset.

LBD said...

Fine lines and opinions all over the place. None of any of it is acceptable but as long as there are bad actors then the insanity of war will exist. Sadly I think T is on the right track, O was a disaster. IMO

Rob Dawg said...

O will be known as the recession President. Fair? Not entirely but not undeserved. Strangely he may not be remembered for being the only war president from start to finish.

Unknown said...

Syria's finances must be getting a bit shaky by now. Ten (??) years of war...and I don't think they have much oil..

Unknown said...

I thought O did a decent job in his first term (he really did inherit a wreck of an economy). It was when he decided to go all "SJW in -chief" during his second term that I lost a lot of respect for him..

but without him..we wouldn't have Trump...so cheers to you Obummer.

Lawyerliz said...

You think money to rich people actually trickles down?

LBD said...

My two cents is Syria is about pipe lines, nat gas and Russia wants to keep control of Europe's nat gas. Qatar wants a pipe line to Europe for their nat gas. IMO

LBD said...

Yes but YOU have to get off your ass and get it.

Lawyerliz said...

It started with a drought.

We'd want to, if in their place . Plz explain more claerLY. Russia gas pipe line through Syria?

Lawyerliz said...

Get the rich people's money? How?

Unknown said...

$60 million dollars in missles, could have been better spent on humanitarian aid. Bombing military buildings and not the aircraft runways is worse than doing nothing.

It will probably improve Trump's terrible ratings though, so maybe it was worth it to him at least,

LL no simple answer except the path you take in life and how hard you work it. What do you call rich?

LBD said...

Russia want's to block more pipe lines in Syria to end up supplying more nat gas to Europe. What better way then to keep Assad in power. IMO

Lawyerliz said...

I'd call me rich, but T sure wouldn't.
Money does make people happier until they reach 70 or 80 of assests. Not very much.

RicH would be hang a maid come one or twice a week, and a gardener, not a lawn guy for a few hours twice a week. It has become very hard for me to lug bags of dirt a sound Neither of them would be required to tug their forelock. I have most all the goodies I need, and could buy most any thing else. True, there an Old Master or 2 I'd like, but that's not reasonable.

Lawyerliz said...

That's awfully sneaky.

Lawyerliz said...

Dirt! I'd like a truck load of real rich dirt to spread around the front and back garden. And some rocks. Decorative rocks. Big ones.

Walt Tucker,

Bombed runways are very easy and cheap to repair. Bring in a few bulldozers and matting. Probably take less than 24 hours.

Here's the latest update from yesterday on Oroville spillway from Juan Browne:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAY-4-NeB18

In my opinion Browne (aka blancolirio on youtube) has the most accurate info on this.
Bottom line, DWR says they are going to rebuild the spillway by November, the start of the next rainy season. He says we have 9 months for the rebuild--however from my calendar says we have about 6 1/2 months.

Lawyerliz said...

Whats a couple months between friends?

LBD said...

Thanks, Prairiedog. That is the only thing that makes sense to me and why O ran when Putin barked. T made a limited strike for a statement on different levels and I don't think he will press on unless Assad is real stupid, which I don't think he is. IMO

LBD said...

EJ, I watch for him on Youtube everyday seems to be on target and easy to understand.

Rob Dawg said...

The rainy season starts October but water management means the spillway won't be needed until Feb if at all.

So we attacked a military base, damaged some building and maybe a few aircraft. Damage was so minimal that bombers used the runways today and killed some more people. (More poison gas?) We wasted 60 million dollars on almost nothing.

Liz is right. Providing humanitarian aid sends a stronger statement.

Unknown said...

I'm guessing we have gps coordinates on every one of them (aircraft)...next step is to take them all out..

We had the unusual exception over by the base recently. The hardware store closed, it was almost the last real hardware store in town (there is still a tiny one elsewhere).
But amazingly, it re-opened under new ownership. Hopefully it lasts, as the alternatives are HD or Lowes.

I did too much chopping and fertizing and turtle eviction yesterday. Aches.

Unknown said...

I may have posted this before.

"A few decades ago, box turtles were considered common, but today they are many lists of troubled species; Florida populations have suffered greatly. The single most important cause for the decline in box turtle populations is habitat destruction. Although each box turtle may require two-and-a-half to twelve acres, those acres must provide shelter, nest sites, a continuing supply of food, and access to a mate. As natural habitats have been converted to urban landscapes and criss-crossed with roads, populations have become isolated and one by one have disappeared. If a road goes through the middle of a 50 year-old box turtle's home range, the turtle doesn't leave, he just continues moving about the remaining habitat, crossing the road to get from one area to another and often gets hit. Lawn mowers, children, dogs, and fire also take a toll on box turtle populations. It does no good to pick up a turtle and release it in a safer place; box turtles are homebodies with very good sense of direction. They usually head right back to where they came from, and many don't make it."
From: "Out With The Wild Things".

Lawyerliz said...

Ihave 2 and 3/4 acres. These are gopher tortoises. I don't mind if they eat my blue Daze, but I do mind if the try to dig a hole under my house or under some bricks which some homo sapiens might fall in. There are 3 of them directly around the house and most of the houses have 2 and a half acres or more. I assume there are lots in the woods behind the house. People do move them off the road if the see them. Lots of Squashed armadillos and cats, never seen a squashed turtle.

Lawyerliz said...

There are as many as 20 adjacent acres with no roads, only driveways. And much more than that if you discount very small seldom used roads. None of my turtles are starving.

Lawyerliz said...

I also object if they eat my green beans, which I fence off. The turtle I evicted was trying to dig under the fence and succeeding.

Unknown said...

Liz, you probably can get the state to put up a "caution gopher turtle crossing" sign on your street. They're common in Southwest Florida. I don't know if your neighbors would appreciate the sign, though.

Lawyerliz said...

I don't think the neighbors would care.

Lawyerliz said...

Well, the WsJ thinks bond purchases are signaling more slow growth.
And there is a picture of blood on a coptic church pew. Must I see this in a financial newspaper?

Rob Dawg said...

Once the state knows about your gopher turtles they will take an interest in your gopher turtles. That can morph into an unwelcome interest into how you manage their habitat.

Lawyerliz said...

Yep. I haven't seen any squashed ones anyway. And technically they aren't mine. You could say I am theirs. Same as the cat. Obviously they like the part I try to manage, I e garden, better than the back, which is more or less in its natural state.

Unknown said...

None of that has happened in SW Florida that I'm aware of. I suppose the state could arrest people who have gopher turtles on their property and send them to Slovenia for torture, but that hasn't happened yet either. But it's good to warn people even of the remotely possible.

Lawyerliz said...

I am told they are delicious. Usually the officials get, errr, officious when someone is trying to build something

Unknown said...

On the topic of Florida, Carl Hiaasen has a new book, "Razor Lady", about more aberrant behavior of Florida Homo saps.(Like using sexual enticements to accidentally capture motorists trying to evade the law or the mob.
