Add the Garcetti Garrote to the Kammi Whammy Left Arsenal

L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti and his wife, Amy Wakeland, arrive at the opening ceremony of the 131st International Olympic Committee Session in Lima, Peru, on Sept. 12. Mayor’s travels raising eyebrows in L.A.
By Dakota Smith
One day after securing the 2028 Olympics in Peru this month, Mayor Eric Garcetti greeted reporters on a noisy tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport.
It was an appropriate setting for Garcetti, whose travels have taken him to Atlanta, Phoenix, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas and Berlin, among other places, in the last year.
The mayor has logged 112 days, or nearly one-third of his time, away from California over the last 12 months, according to his public calendar.
In August alone, he was out of state for 19 days, travels that included vacationing in the Berkshires, meeting with firefighter union leaders in Boston and hobnobbing with billionaire Ron Perelman in the Hamptons.
Prior to that, he wooed the International Olympic Committee in Switzerland, talked transportation with U.S. senators in Washington and met with mayors in Mexico City to discuss climate change.
Reelected in March with 81% of the vote, Garcetti has refused to commit to serving his entire second term. As he visits New Hampshire and Wisconsin, the mayor remains coy about whether he’ll run for president in 2020.
But as he flirts with the idea, Garcetti tests the public’s willingness to tolerate his absences.
The mayor’s office releases details selectively about his time away from L.A., furthering his reputation for being vague about some of his travel.

Keep doing what you have been doing.  Sad.

The founders used to leave their offices frequently.

Tom Petty is dead.

Only 66! Cardiac arrest. I wonder if it was drugs?

Such a distinctive voice. I really enjoyed his songs -especially the early ones.

Hey all. Ready to start exploring. Didn't kill anyone despite these crazies. Not only were they driving on the wrong side of the road but they would flash their lights and honk their horns as they scrambled to correct their mistake as we approached.

You know, maybe Petty worked himself to death. I saw his recent concert schedule and it was brutal.

We've had some rain here. Actually feared my alp would be flooded. The water table must be just a half inch under the surface. The Sr. JOHNS Rive, which mostly a wide deep swamp is in flood, submerging houses, and promises to be in flood stage for weeks, if not longer. It was going down a bit, but the new rains pushed back up again.

Perhaps the aquifer is being replentished. And the water mostly is not full of toxic stuff like Houston.

It's cloudy now. We might get light rain this afternoon .

Good Morning!

Looked at some house boats, maybe that is the answer to shore living. 🤔

Dry sunny and in the low 90's with winds. Most people drive on the correct side of the road here.

Swearing at my computer again.

No more posts until some else chimes in.

Looked at boats yesterday, think I might need one. Maybe after I get done with the second jet ski.

Nobody actually needs a boat except a fisherman or a tourist captain. Rent one?

Big day in Aberdeen. Having a good time.

Nobody needs most of the toys I have had. Buy it wholesale and sell for a profit or even money. Probably start with a sport boat. 🚣
