Attention CashCall

Yes, you CashCall the lenders of last resort. Listen, we have something to say. Casey Serin never intended to pay you anything. From the moment he revealed the loan his blog was innundated with hundreds of comments to that effect. The more astute observations noted that in a case of CASEY SERIN and CashCall in conflict that for a high profile deadbeat like CASEY SERIN CashCall would be forced to be as aggressive as their reputation indicate. Understand, CashCall, you are not fgoing to see a dirty penny out of this. All you can do now is use Casey Serin as a most public example that CashCall is an honest and equitible lender. That means protecting your business and your customers by stopping this thief cold.

Readers: if CashCall googles CASEY SERIN they are sure to pick up on caseyserin.info so if you have anything to say I'm sure it will get to the right people. ;-)

Ok...Who left that post claiming that they were from CashCall on Snowflake's site. That was pretty funny. But if it was real. Then that is funnier.

I'm weak. Left this on IAFF:

Casey,
Condolences on your recent landing a new Anti-Job. Yes, 8 hours per day 5 days a week at $4.89 per hour Anti-Job. This is how much the interest is piling up on the CashCall loan at the default rate. If you actually dedicate $10/hr to the CashCall loan it will be paid off in about 3 years. You just lost 50 cents reading this. Get goin' man. Stop staring into the abyss, the abyss is staring back. Sorry, that probably triggered the anti-intellectual filters.

I think it's the UT (un)wrap that is going to be Buttercup's primary undoing. I'd think that the "buyer" would go after KC with a vengeance if KC's been pocketing those payments, and I'm sure he has. I I were the "buyer" I'd be at the police station within a few days.

Unless, of course, the "buyer" is another crook in which case KC gets his kneecaps busted.

Anyone have any more info on the UT property? Homey?

Anonymous said...

Bill I agree, though it could be NM too... Homey came up with some names of two individuals who were apparently residing at the address (according to a basic People search...)

Wrapped? Renters? Co-conspirators? Homey seemed to indicate that these folks were innocent but I'm not sure.

Google "CashCall". Casey's blog is currently at page 3 of the results. Here's hoping it gets to the first page of results!

IMHO, the juice and CashCall posts are something of a smokescreen -- nice contentious hater-baiting topics.

We should be more concerned about what scams Casey may be working on next.

Why is he going to Utah and how is he paying for it?

What are the smoky "business meetings"? Who are the "business partners" and what are their roles?

What is happening with the corporate credit scheme?

A couple of suggestions here that the "business" Casey is talking is some form of MLM. That would seem a natural choice for Casey given his involvement with Nouveau Riche -- and back when he was deeply entangled with Chris he several times mentioned late-night "business meetings". And it would no doubt be deeply satisfying for the haters, as he'd almost certainly end up as the mark again. (See for example Rob Cockerham's pieces on NRU and on Herbalife: not many success stories there.)

But my fear is that something a lot fisher, a lot more predatory, is brewing. Casey must have some awareness of how desperate his situation is. He's shown in the past that he's more than happy to attempt to rook friends and acquaintances (the 24%-guaranteed scam email); and that he'll happily self-justify fraudulent activity (the liar loans; the continued enthusiasm, in the face of overwhelming evidence, for the corporate credit scam).

We like to laugh his protrayed ineptitude, but as Rob's repeatedly pointed out his buying spree was well-planned and carefully-orchestrated: he successfully fooled multiple lenders.

So: what's he up to now?

cash call could get any info on casey they want from bob dawgs blog. Including his address, where Galina goes to school, contact info for Casey's parents, including Mom's work number.

Now, if Cash Call was interested in Casey Sarin, they could get get this info here, on exurbannation.blogspot.com

Dear Mr. Cash Call:

Although I have a pretty low opinion of you, it is marginally higher than that of Mr. Casey. Because of this, I'd like to point out that he appears to be paying for a ticket to fly to Utah this weekend, so anything he says about not being able to pay you is a crock. I hope you are merciless with this one.

I’m just concerned that CashCall might get the wrong idea about my intentions by glancing at the internet activity, the comments and hater sites. I really do mean to find a way to pay the money back and there was no loan fraud at all committed with CashCall.

[Continuation of thought] ...Maybe they'll get the wrong idea because I use words like "Ignore-lender-mode" or "Really don't feel it necessary to seek employment because it won't help my situation because my debts are too great..."

Paying *some* of your burdens back will show a willingness to try -- right now, you're just showing that you're running away and hoping it'll go away.

Do you think Casey's "Wells Fargo Stole $1000 from Me" post would be of interest to Cashcall? If I remeber correctly, he stated that even though Cashcall was direct debiting that account he would close it so no one would be able to withdraw funds.

In that same post he also talks about the new account he opened at another bank but wouldn't allow debit of his debts.

There's a reason companies like Cashcall exist. I know there is a big group out there that says Cashcall and their like are predatory lenders because they charge so much. And they don't get their money back by being nice. They have to because they lend to loosers like Casey. What do people want? You can't have a 550 FICO and get cheap money.

And no, I'm not affiliated with Cashcall or any other payday lender.

Anonymous said...

You don't even need to go back that far, though it does show he had no intention of paying them back when he closed it and mentioned CashCall.

But recently, he's posted about how he's going to get them to settle and explain to them they have to be reasonable and shit. Now he's got a big LYING post up, like it's going to help.

Has anyone contacted Countrywide about the $50k note? That one bugs me so. Do they know he has zero intention of paying it, doesn't even think it's real?

Anonymous said...

I googled Cash Call, as I have never heard of them, and their interest rates are as high 96%. You have got to be f'ing kidding me! No one, with any business acumen would pay that kind of money for a LOAN!

segfault said...

No one, with any business acumen would pay that kind of money for a LOAN!

They would if they had no intention of paying it back, but I guess that fact would preclude their having any business acumen...

I think 24% was the initial rate, and 96% is the default rate. It's not a bad deal unless you look at it that way.

Anonymous said...

"No one, with any business acumen would pay that kind of money for a LOAN!"

You just summed it up. That's not Cashcalls market. Their market is folks with credit fleas that can't get cheap money.

The problem I have with Cash Call is that their loans are structured so that many borrowers will never be off the hook.

Because they don't accept partial payments, anyone who falls behind will have to improve their financial position quite a bit before they are able to make a payment that CC will accept (all past due money plus the next month's regular payment). That takes time for most people. During that time, the 98% default rate applies and the loan balance increases considerably. The result is that many people who fall behind on a CC loan will never finish paying it off, even if they are able to resume payments. I've heard plenty of stories of people who have gotten in that situation, paid Cash Call several times the original principal, and still owe about as much as they originally took out.

The interest rates and monthly payments are structured so that many buyers will never pay the loan back, yet at the same time the burden is not so great as to put the borrower into bankruptcy. The result is, in effect, indentured servitude until the borrower dies or has some windfall that allows him to pay the debt off faster than interest accumulates.

I can grudgingly accept that some high-interest lenders serve a useful role, but there is no place in civilized society for bottom-feeders like Cash Call.

Anonymous said...

Casey post from 2/8/07....

"So no more drafts for CashCall until I figure out my debt situation and find a way to pay them back (or settle). I will try to call them soon to see what can be worked out."

I guess him saying he will call someone soon means never.

Rob BBB, good to see you buddy. Casey is a public figure. "Public Figure," it's a legal term that maybe you aren't familiar with. For most of us implying that Casey has any character whatsoever is an unfounded compliment.

I've no doubt that CashCall walks the line of legal actions and they have an econometric model that inculdes sanctions when they arte caught crossing that line. I'm sure that a small number of excesses are part of a maximum rate of return business model. I thought at the time the removal of usuary limits was going too far. Now I am sure. We need to return to prime, alt, risky and no credit. CashCall is giving credit to people who should be given none. This is like giving drivers' licenses to the unqualified if they only pay more to the DMV.

Anonymous said...

...meditation and essential earthy nutrients are the first step in meditational cleansing.

If "meditational cleansing" means what I think it means, a few shots of Jack Daniels and a can of chili will answer just as well as meditation and "earthy nutrients".

Unfortunately, some students have become brainwashed into putting their studies aside, believing that "traditional education will not make them successful". They are overconfident on how easy it is to make money in real estate when in fact the real estate market is quite weak at the moment. This notion has been exemplified through the popularity of Casey Serin's internet story on the website http://iamfacingforeclosure.com where the results of following Kiyosaki's advice to the letter have led the 24 year old into deep debt and potential financial ruin. Serin, the "pied piper of financial ruin," has been cited as one of Kiyosaki's greatest success stories."

Hey Guys,

Rob BBB here.

I'm just along for the ride.

One thing I heard from today...

Was talking to a guy who is a mortgage broker. He did a lot of deals in the last few years.

Anyway, he has basically stopped his business and now is working with a group of "investors".

The people who he sold ARMs to in the last few years are getting their rates reset. He knows all their names and knows their financial situation.

So, he talks to his friends who are the "investors" and they call into those people and see if they want to get just rid of the house at some cutrate price (sell just to have payments taken over, etc.).

They only look at the ones with equity and they know the exact equity because the mortgage broker guy has all the data.

Then they get a 30 year fixed rate mortgage and flip it to someone else.

The broker guy was hush hush about the whole thing.. he said he wasn't really given them "information". But I knew the score.

The ARM rate is currently higher than the fixed rate. And the yield curve is pretty inverted.

Things are totally screwed in the world of subprime lending.
