Countdown to Manifesto

Apparently Nigel the Hutt is planning a mega-post to explain his reasons for his recent bizarre behavior. Obviously we aren't on tenterhooks waiting for "Deep Thoughts" by Nigel Handy here. I betting it will be along the lines of teaching us a lesson about hate and how brave little hobbit is to stand up to his haterz™. P.S. The creature in the picture his holding his hand like that and saying "my wee-wee is only this big..."

Man, this blog is dying. 20 mins to a first. Me, I suspect a government conspiracy.

I just think it's pre-coffee time in a lot of the world... like here.

I can't think before coffee.. much less be first.

And I have to do my looooser job.

I am on what we call "alternative work schedule"

i work a little extra for 8 days, then worka normal day, and take the 10th day off

Some of us employer types in the private sector have have a joke about "alternative work schedules" in the gov't. "Yeah, the alternative is to work so they do this instead." [just kidding]

)))Some of us employer types in the private sector have have a joke about "alternative work schedules" in the gov't.(((

In my youth I worked for several years as a "civil servant". Honestly - I didn't do a damn thing, ever, the whole time. I was suposed to be some kind of paper shuffler. I never actually figured out the entirety of my job description. If told to get busy by a boss, I laughed. It was impossible to get fired, I had a free lawyer from the union if there was contention, and the benefits were deluxe. The salary was frozen at a very low level, though, so I got out eventually.

It took a while, but those jobs have finally been privatized out of existence. The same low level of service is now provided at a much higher cost by a company owned by a friend of the governor's. The employess are paid even less and the benfits have disappeared, but the markup for the company that administers the newly privatized jobs - wow.

At the risk of veering into politics, I just want to say that one of the great unreported tragedies of the current administration is how it has absolutely gutted the professional class of government. Large numbers of the people who have spent years if not decades doing the things that make this country actually run have been driven out in favor of no-talent political appointees, to this country's great detriment.

I agree that there's a lot of deadwood in any government agency, but amidst the pork there's some real value, too. And we're losing it.

sprezz,
every adminstration brings in it's cronies. with each new administration a good bit of the workers 'rotate' out. of course this administration may have taken it to a new level.

@R-Boy,

I've got a relative who works the AWS schedule, too. You feds are lucky ducks.

R-Boy,
I’m on AWS as well, but take every other Monday off rather than Friday like everyone else. Fridays are the most peaceful interruption-free days at the office.

Here's another record Dawg -

A Nigel thread with no mention of Nigel until now. Man, he must be frustrated, hate fading. he ain't worth it.

Dang, everyone here work for the government? I'm on AWS today too.

I am self-underemployed. Just dicking around in here every few hours. I'm supposed to be writing a musical score for an infomercial. I will wait until two hours before deadline and WRITE IT REALLY FAST

Bluto,
As Rob Dawg stated above, it must be a government conspiracy ;).

No updates at cornflake's SLC or DHC blogs.

My guess, the feds picked him up and an accomplice to snowflake's continued activities...... 'cause you know Casey's not done yet! He's got "money" partners... there's something shady in the works and Casey will be the "fall" guy.... only he won't be "falling forward."

Anyway, the feds are trying to get cornflake to wear a wire and tape some phone conversations.... maybe make a trip to Sacramento.

While getting his daily taste of Snowflake's dick, Swabby noticed an abnormaly foul taste.

Swabby has gotten used to the taste of Galina's sharp, bitter juices, so Swabby decided to confront Snowflake about it.

Snowflake admitted he was dicking some other guy up the ass, Swabby got jealous, and he decided to end their gay relationship.

Swabby and Snowflake decided to part on good terms, and came up with the preposterous idea that Snowflake never got a job and that broke off the relationship. It's preposterous because the Snowflake we all know and love would never even consider getting a job.

And that's all I have to say about that, as Forrest Gump would say.
