When we quit parenting for jobs and education took physical out of discipline. Then replaced it with words like abuse on the kids and opened the life's lottery to law suits for money, among many other abandonment's of responsibilities. They have created the base for today's events. IMO
If I where still in biz by now I would have a gun at work. So glad I walked away.
The signal to my kids in public was a low volume correction and if not heeded the three taps on the head and out to the car and an open handed reasonably heavy slap on butt was coming. Seemed to work and as adults we now have a laugh about when they purposely pushed it and stopped before the third tap. There will always be abusers and Iam sure some still beat their kids. I got whacked pretty good a few times as a kid but I am fine, well at least some think so. LOL!
