Ventura is "home" to Amgen and Countrywide which are both leaving even though Amgen won't admit it and Countrywide doesn't know it yet.

Doesn't it have to be approved by the regulators first?

Secondly, it's April First. Do you have the soda vending machine stocked with beer?

Got a call today from an Agent Baker at the Sacramento FBI field office. They want me to come in for an interview next week. I immediately phoned my attorney.

... nah, just kidding. They're just gonna sit on their ass until the statute of limitations has passed. Crime truly does pay!! :)

Are they going through with it? Hell ya! BAC covets all those CFC assets.

Regulators? What are those?

Are they like the Distributor Caps in my car?

Sounds like more of a temperature device.... maybe they're in my AC system?

They sure as hell couldn't be in the Financial System-- we would've spotted one by now.

@24601

I'd explain in depth, but right now I'm massively focussed on the spaghetti crop failure.

Sadly I am so old I remember watching live the channel 7 coverage of the eruption of Mount Milton in the Blue Hills region south of Boston.

Any mention of April Fool's Day is incomplete without the

Island of San Serriffe

It was a 7 page advertorial supplement about that "country" printed in the (Manchester) Guardian in 1977. I got fooled by it - which is surprising since I "grokked" the Guardian and could do about 80% of their cryptic crossword at that time.

I've heard that Rob Dawg and Casey are about to ink a deal where Casey will become a guest blogger on this site.

The title of the special feature is still up in the air:

Ether Casey's Love Line

or

Casey's Advice for those being interviewed by state or federal officials for allegations of real estate fraud.

Happy happy joy joy joy.

Rob, I gotcha with the Zune thing. :-)

Lou, go back and read my first reply again. You know the one that ends with the words "April 1st."

NYT via SWPL: EVE LEVINE, a 34-year-old real estate broker, recalls fondly the five years when she was, as she calls it, “low-cost bicoastal.” Her primary residence was in Brooklyn — first Williamsburg, then Bushwick and now Greenpoint — but she also had an apartment in the Fruitvale section of Oakland, Calif., that she visited for long stretches.
