White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane:

White House - Rob Dawg:
One raise makes you larger
And one drop makes you small
And the ones that mother government gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Ben
When he's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing containment
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking petrodollars
Has given you the call
Recall Congress
Before we fall

When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of inflation
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Volker
I think he'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said;
"FEED YOUR Fed
_______________
They'll bleed you dead"

Furst, couldn't resist.

Saw starship a couple decades ago (with Grace and Mickey). A riot outside the stadium let me get in for free.

I think Paris Hilton would have been a better president than George W. - and she probably has a higher IQ too.

Can't listen to White Rabbit
without thinking of HST in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Much more of BB and I'm going to throw the radio in the tub with me.

Well, I wasn't there but grew up with their kids and wasn't entirely impressed with the whole concept, but absorbed all of the crap like HST anyway.
I had a lot of high school teachers like the hippie guy in Beavis and Butthead.
Anyway, I like this version better.

Like Akubi I was too young to remember hippies. I bet they smelled really bad.

From horrid 60s drug songs to wretched 80s pop. "We Built This City" is widely recognized as the worst song ever.

HST didn't have a lot in common with hippies, but being one of the latter isn't the worst thing in the world. I was a little too young to be a hippie, but I daresay they probably smelled a lot better than the Axe-soaked Red-Bull-and-Chipotle-breathing specimens common today.

Peace\/

Are you going to make a run???

This country needs you!!!!
Romney for VP!!!

Akubi said...

DEAD Guyz for Prez like HST, WSB and Nietsche.
The undead like McShame should take a very long nap and leave us and Paris Hilton alone already.

Akubi said...

Dose Romney with the usual including Lex's suggestion "Axe-soaked Red-Bull-and-Chipotle"! Woohoo!

Itsallgood.
HST was not a hippie.

I've already endorsed Cthulhu 2008, I was just taking credit for the lyrics.

I couldn't have Romney as my veep. He's too tall and good looking, makes me look bad. Besides he doesn't drink. I look at past tea totaling administrations and I'm beginning to think it should be grounds for disqualification. To his credit the last time I was with him at David Murdock's house he did serve wine.

Maybe Doonesbury's Mr. Duke as second banana.

Freddie said they might limit their portfolio growth. Assuming Fannie does the same, we might get our mortgage freeze that will collapse housing prices this winter.

Rob Dawg said...

Yup. We really haven't seen prices reflect the credit crunch yet. F&F were still passing out loans to mirror fogging buyers. 20% honest down payments and 36% honest DTIs are gonna crush resales again.

I agree this winter will be interesting. Imagine trying to sell a house in New England heated by oil.
