Prepping the Next Generation

A bit out of mainstream topics. My youngest has taken it upon herself to learn "cocktails." This greeted us yesterday:
A Lime sherbet, tequila, triple sec drink for two. It was very good. Think out of the box. Who gets the nod? The kid who golfs and pours an awesome drink or the equally technical competent candidate? Is it "fair?" That's the issue.

Ok here I am. Will it post?

It posted. Amazing. Yo. I'm not supposed to drink. Maybe one glass. So, is it still raining?

Anybody think it's possible for Trump to last 4 years less 10 days, without getting impeached for something?

How are they picking which Muslims to reject? No Saudis. But Muslims with green cards and degrees from here, who have been here for years???

Hi Liz! Glad my registration wasn't too onerous. it is honestly as open as can be made these days.

Keep in mind not liking what his opponents and the media are doing is not the same as supporting Trump. It's okay to dislike both sides.

I don't agree with overreach and compromise tactics but they work for him. At some point they will stop working which is why i don't like them.

At some point all the lawyers in the world will be fully employed with Trump and his doings. As a lawyer. . Is this good or bad.

Lawyerliz said...

Employment improving. This is definitely good.

Lawyerliz said...

How good does employment improvement have to be until it is really really good and wages go up a LOT?

Hey Rob, get to work!!!

Greetings from the PNW! Now that we've made the move you can have your killer quake now...

Lawyerliz said...

Cascadia has earthquakes too.

TJandTheBear said...

Not to mention the occasional volcano.

Heck, anywhere with fracking has earthquakes. That said, SoCal is WAY overdue, and throwing so much water on all that drought-parched earth with little intermediate stress relief is a recipe for trouble.

Rob earthquake ready? House bolted together?

I have a 400 gallon hot tub with drinkable water (bromine). I have three generators. I have several extra and full propane tanks. I have viable transportation from bike to motorcycle to SUV. There is a freezer and pantry for many weeks. I am more ready than 13 million plus of the 14 million in SoCal. Don't worry about me if you don't hear for a bit. I will be fine.

Somebody could steal your stuff. I insist on worrying. It's my job.

Lawyerliz said...

Ok, you have a big eat quake with say 5m people affected, and half have done no preparation at all. Disaster. Trump is too incompetent to run an operation of the size necessary to protect people. Or, he might say they deserve what they get for not preparing.

Lawyerliz said...

That's earthquake.

You've read the stories -- pretty much 99% of the population isn't prepared for virtually any emergency, let alone a catastrophic event.

Whether it's the ground or just the people, the increasing instability is one reason why I didn't want to be anywhere near LA when TS finally HTF.

Rob needs a new post.
Go Rob, go.
