Housing Bubble, credit bubble, public planning, land use, zoning and transportation in the exurban environment. Nah, he doesn't do those kinds of projects. He's having a small play produced this weekend, and is persisting in writing a sci-fi omelette involving gravity waves.
My annual gas and electric were a pinch over $2K last year. That includes the water well and about an acre of landscape. We like it nice and cool as well as warm. 92% gas furnace with a heat pump, Works great.
My electricity is insane price and consumption. SCE thinks our modest Dawghaus sucks a third more electricity than the adjacent behemoths. I bought a watt-o-meter to try and track down where all those electrons are going.

Roofers working 2nd day. Cat still scared.
Very warm Good Morning!
Great to have heat back. Space heaters did an amazingly good job. Now if my annual energy bills don't climb a lot all is well. :)
They will.
We started using a space heater at night instead of central air and the bill dropped 20%.
Plus, the husky/Pyrenees mix loves when we keep the house cold.
