hard to tell what the colors represent..but it would be cool if they would color code it by raw materials shipping (e.g. Australia into China)..and finished goods (China to US)...

Unknown said...

on second look..if you go directly to the source..they kind of do that (shipping by type)...

Check what Wyoming is trying to do to solar and wind power.

Morning all... I'm in Boston today

Unknown said...

most of the US (non EQ areas) should just go nuclear power. Cheapest non-polluting power source there is.

Unknown said...

"Please come to Boston for the springtime"..

la la la la la... :)

Luv that dirty water...

Unknown said...

we can stack the spent fuel rods along the southern border..two birds..one stone

Lawyerliz said...

You are awful.

Lawyerliz said...

I did some more chopping, watered and planted a rose. My formerly neglected roses are sprouting and growing like crazy. They are hungry little beasts.

Lawyerliz said...

A very big turtle is digging a big hole in my back lawn. That's fine with me. It can destroy all the graSS it wants to.

Lawyerliz said...

It's not sawgrass, just regular grass.

Rob Dawg said...

Just warn me to invest in Monsanto just before you get fed up with the sawgrass and decide to go Roundup on them.

Unknown said...

when I used to argue for a later curfew as a teen..my parents would say "nothing good happens after midnight" (and in retrospect they were right)

same with the southern border...any activity within ten miles of that border...from Brownsville to TJ..nothing good is happening (drug and human smuggling, etc)...

Bombing Afghanistan, time to finish business.

MOABs are awesome. As in shock and awe. You cannot believe their destructive power. Second only to FAEs.

Unknown said...

it's interesting that Toronto is thought of as such a cosmopolitan, progressive city..yet they get most of their electric power from nuclear..

Lawyerliz said...

You don't understand. It's exercise and mental health.

Cinco-X said...

Ya... Too bad we bailed on thorium breeder reactors.

Cinco-X said...

Ya... Love that dirty water... Yada, yada, yada...

Cinco-X said...

Grrrrr

Cinco-X said...

You misspelled brilliant

LBD said...

Mike all electrons look the same so how could they tell any difference? :)

Unknown said...

They actually brag about their nuclear power on the radio..between innings of the Blue Jays games..

Unknown said...

speaking of Boston-based rockers... was reading that J Geils passed yesterday...rip

Unknown said...

in happier Rock 'n roll news..two of my favorite bands..ELO & Yes were inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame the other night (about time!!)

Rob Dawg said...

J. Geils live in Groton, MA. A buddy knew him. Small town.

It took this long to induct "Yes"? That's the travesty.
E.L.O. certainly deserves it too.

Unknown said...

yeah..I don't know who the electorate is for the R&R HOA..but I'm convinced they are a bunch of knuckleheads..

Unknown said...

"HOF"

Unknown said...

Bobby Darin...inducted 1990
E.L.O & Yes...2017

I rest my case...

Unknown said...

Guess I insulted the Bobby Darin fans on the blog.. ;<)

LBD said...

I'm confused, Bobby Darin was inducted to the Home Owners Association in 1990?;)

Unknown said...

yes..and then he fined me for painting my window trim the wrong color..so that's what I'm really mad about..not the HOF induction..

Unknown said...

now that I think about it..that may have been Bob Darwin...never mind ;<)

LBD said...

As long as it wasn't Bob Dylan then it's OK. :)

Lawyerliz said...

Bite your tongue, Bob Dylan is wonderful.

Unknown said...

Dylan in the R&R HoF is a bit sketchy also. More of a folk singer imo..

That '88 class was pretty good though...Beatles, Beach Boys, Dylan

LBD said...

I like this little know guy who reminds me of Dylan. Quite a story of his stolen career. Found his movie on Netflix then bought his CD's

Unknown said...

looks like it's official (according to the LA Times)...wettest winter on record for North Sierra (89.7 inches to date)...

Unknown said...

Found his movie on Netflix then bought his CD's

yeah..pretty remarkable story (saw the documentary when it first came out)...

thanks for reminding me of his name..definitely going to check out more of his music..

Cinco-X said...

Saw him at the Bull Run in Shirley, MA

Cinco-X said...

Ya... Madonna made it prior to Skynyrd... WTF!?

Rob Dawg said...

Last year was supposed to be wet but ended average. This year average or below and ended epic wet. Seems we are still learning.

If we had done as I suggested and dredged existing reservoirs we would have near another year of rmergency storage for literally less than nothing.

Half the tomatoes planted today.

Unknown said...

we're at about 70 inches (and counting) since Oct 1..so not too far behind..

Unknown said...

and right on cue...we get a downpour

Lawyerliz said...

I only planted one rose, but did lots of chopping and watering and filling up the turtle hole under the gardenia bush.

Lawyerliz said...

Weather is HARD. Much harder than preducting where some star or galaxy will be millions of years from now. It's the dry season here.

Lawyerliz said...

No snakes came out.

Unknown said...

dredged existing reservoirs

they could have sold the dirt back to the farmers...

Rob Dawg said...

Since sm isn't here.

There is a strong onshore breeze rushing through the valley now. If sm_l were to blow smoke from a cigar I would likely catch the scent.

Rob Dawg said...

Got it in one!

Unknown said...

they were probably afraid they might disturb some snail larvae or something...

Cinco-X said...

Wake up Liz...WAKE.UP!

Lawyerliz said...

I woke up too early, but graciously decided not to wake the rest Of you up.

Lawyerliz said...

House up another $200!!!! In another 20000 days, I'll be rich!!

Lawyerliz said...

How much has your n house go one up?

Lawyerliz said...

Cinco?

Lawyerliz said...

I see Trump dropped a really big bomb.

Lawyerliz said...

Cinco went back to sleep.

LBD said...

Good Morning!

Pain and rain is the forecast today. :(

Simple fix tax the farmers for not retaing their soil and take the money to dredge the reservoirs. Blame it on pot farms and double the tax. Have a smoke and everyone is happy!

Cinco-X said...

My house? I have no idea. It's a place for me to live and retire, not an investment

Cinco-X said...

Cinco went to work

LBD said...

I worry about fake real estate values as it raises property tax along with it, Zillow's unrealistic only justifies their think or lack of thinking. IMO

Rob Dawg said...

Zestiguesses are screwy. Went from +$500/day last week to +$120/day now.

Funny. I don't feel $12,000 poorer.

LBD said...

What would the renters do if I raised the rent and used the Zestimate as justification? I could retire in half the time or have a lot of empty units! Market price still rules. LOL!

sm_landlord said...

> There is a strong onshore breeze rushing through the valley now. If sm_l were to blow smoke from a cigar I would likely catch the scent.

It feels like the winds turned around this morning here in the Great Sewer. Hoping to be home early today, so it's your turn to light a cigar this evening.

Lawyerliz said...

Zestimates is just fun. No intention to sell anyway.

Lawyerliz said...

I just looked at the taxes portion of zestimate. It's wrong. Yes the amount os assessed taxes may have gone up or 9 or whatever per year. But the amout paid only can go up 3% a year on homesteads. That is not mentioned.

Cigars make bad breathe and are icky.
