Housing Bubble, credit bubble, public planning, land use, zoning and transportation in the exurban environment. Specific criticism of smart growth, neotradtional, forms based, new urbanism and other top down planner schemes to increase urban extent and density. Ventura County, California specific examples.
It was hard to dig down through all the global warming to uncover these beauties. Truth told these are just a few on the patio. The actual yard is just beginning to explode. I've gone over the top on hanging baskets. The "$1" store had them for $1.99 and I bought too many.
I'm strangely compelled to throw a "Being There" quote in here.
"In a garden, things grow . . . but first, they must wither; trees have to lose their leaves in order to put forth new leaves, and to grow thicker and stronger and taller."
Of course, watching this White House has an eerie similarity to "Being There", (except we got Chance Gardner's evil twin).
I suppose there is an advantage to having a top economic advisor who is consistently and egregiously wrong. Of course, this can only mean recession is imminent.
Larry Kudlow is a "recovered" drug addict. Were his mistakes chemical? Did he change more than just his addiction? I don't like him but there are lots of people I don't like but still listen to if only to know what the wrong thinkers are thinking.
Ruby, very true. Then again when you have a problem with not getting your way on an honest disagreement with your boss you say as much and then support your boss. You don't go to European allies to end run his policies.

The problem with most of those fired was that they didn't listen to him.
If you only have people that agree with the king then you end up with a naked king walking thru the streets of the village.
