There's Gonna Be A Beatin'

There's an old joke about a sadist and machocist who go out on a blind date. Things go well and at the door the machocist turns to the sadist and says "I want you to hurt me." The sadist with and evil grin replies "No."

Moral: Don't give Casey what he wants most; attention.

hmm...

either we have a 100% success rate (0 comments) or Casey isn't moderating...any one want to put money on it?

Truth is I keep checking IAFF because I want to see what he is letting through now that he has decided to ignore all negativity.

Should be fairly fun to read through all the sunshine IMHO. If that is what CS has decided to listen to I have a feeling IAFF is about to burn out.

Ogg the Caveman said...

The problem with the proposed 48 hour "comment fast" is that Casey is so backed up in moderation that he might not notice if it starts now (or recently started). I know I've got a pre-boycott comment or two backed up in moderation. So let's start either when he finally lets yesterday's comments out or when he next posts.

Not that it matters in my case... if he sticks to what he said yesterday he's through approving my comments.

Anonymous said...

I say screw te 48 hours. Boycott IAFF until he answers the salient questions.

I'm with bubbles.

Ogg -

C'mon, what're the odds he'd notice regardless? He'd have to be paying attention, which isn't going to happen, then he'd have to realize that it's a lot fewer and/or the regulars are gone, then he'd have to come to the conclusion that it's on purpose.

I have this feeling that if the light dawned on marble head and he noticed at all the decrease, he'd think it meant we all decided not to be 'haters' or we wanted him to be positive, or some such delusional nonsense.

Or we can leave really, really positive comments for amusement. He'll probably reply to the positive comments and think we've all turned the corner.

Anonymous said...

I am all in with the boycott, just to be clear. I'm not posting, I just don't think he's going to get it, at least for a while.

Another possibility:
Casey is sticking to his guns and not letting through any negative comments. However, so far no positive comments have come in. (Nigel and Yneone both took the day off.)

I'm down for whatever by the way. (48 hrs, 72 hrs, until he gets a clue i.e. infinite)

There is no point to go back to that site if there are no posts to read from all you guys. That is what makes the blog fun. I don't give a crap on what other new magical deals condom head can pull out of his hat. I just like reading all the fun comments you guys throw at him. The core group of people here drives the blog, the so called "haters" So I think we just need to stop going to IAFF and stop posting to try and drive traffic down. And for some of you junkies that need a quick fix of that site, I just recommend that Robert just check it out from time to time and post new comments from Casey here and we can talk amongst ourselves.

Dolph said...

LOL...I would bet he's behind on moderation but how can one be behind if your getting 10 posts?

Without us, his blog will suffer.

I am also starting a blog as a kind of diary/rebuttal to anything Casey says. I figure I'd join the party and help put the final nail in the coffin.

Between here, Iamnotfacingforeclosure and Housing Panic we should all become the experts on all things Casey. If this doesn't scare away any noobs from the lies posted at IAFF, I don't know what will.

My first post is tonight. I will definitely continue coming to this board as I have a lot of fun reading you guys.

I’ve been around IFF pretty much as long as anyone, and I’ve posted my share of humorous/sarcastic messages. But I’ve stopped doing so, though I’ve continued to monitor the site.

Casey is a very sick person. I have come to see that laughing at him is like laughing at a special Olympic contestant. I’m not a physiologist; I don’t know what he’s got, but its bad. The problem is that he seems “normal” so we judge him accordingly. If he had an obvious physical or mental disorder many of us would never say the things we do. In fact he has a 10-year-old brain in a 24-year-old body. Kind of, but worse.

Before I go on (and get killed by you all) let me state clearly, normal people are responsible for what they do, and the consequences that result. Casey is not anywhere near normal.

I believe a good attorney, with a desire to do so, could extricate Casey from this entire morass with an incompetence defense. It would initially be difficult, since he looks and acts like a competent person, but once you begin to look at how he filled out all the forms, telling the lending companies what they wanted to hear, nothing is checked and they just gave him the money. Guru scammers tell him they’ll make him rich; he gives them money, over and over again. Goes to Country Wide (crooks) they hand him a promissory note, he signs it. Phoenix ladies, signs it. Can you imagine how the local contractors on the first few houses must have ripped him off? And the RE agents? And in his mind they are all “awesome people” great people” “looking out for my interests”. The whole lot of them are no better than the schoolyard bullies stealing lunch money from the special ed kids.

I’ll go further out on a limb. I think he could sue all the banks, mortgage companies, credit card companies, Phoenix ladies, even the Guru’s for their collective responsibility in getting him in the mess and then piling it on. He could become the poster child for every dumb consumer who has fallen victim to the predatory practices of sub-prime lenders and voracious credit card companies.

I’m talking here about the obese guy’s lawsuit against McD’s for making him fat.

This sad person will learn nothing in jail. He should be institutionalized. Think about it before you kill me.

I'm leaning towards ratlab at this point. I think it would be even more fun to put through such ridiculously upbeat comments that they make no sense what-so-ever but he'll think they are all magical beans of wisdom!

Maybe we could all post links to apartment buildings and other sweet deals we've all passed on because we lack the God given touch for seeing opportunity and magically making things happen...

Anonymous said...

I don't think anyone here would slam you for that, Wishful, but I do disagree, on a couple of points.

First, there's no way he'd be judged incompetent. The standard for that is truly out of it, in a 'cannot understand what's going on/cannot comprehend the consequences of actions/ cannot assist in his or her own defense (and cannot as really incapable of comprehending, due to significant mental illness or retardation, not because he didn't think it was that serious, delusional as such thinking may be) way.'

I think mostly, Casey is not bright, which is no defense at all. I don't think he's of diminished capacity, as he has demonstrated an ability to comprehend complex situations, he just thinks he's special. Which ... yeah, I agree he's probably diagnosable a couple of ways but none of them really bizarre, I don't think, or bizarre enough to count in the type of criminal/civil matters he's embroiled in.

As for suing the gurus and such well, they'd have no customers if it were possible to sue them because the customer is gullible. The Caseys of the world are how they make their fortunes, he just happened to be in the right/wrong place at the right/wrong time and both kind of dumb and reckless and look what he was able to "accomplish." Sad, but I think more for us than him.

Wishful Thinking:

You may have something here. While the cynical part of me want to think that Casey is posting his blog so that he can show the DA that he was incompetent, and that's part of his game to skip punishment, the other part of me shows that he is either on drugs or is very, very, sick.

So I'm boycotting too, not feeding his habit.

Nobody does killing around here. You may have something with the diminished capacity business. That said, Countrywide is not crooked. Hey everyone

I feel like I'm missing out on the fun but my "real" life is requiring my attendance today.

Homey, I'd love to join you and Stephanie J. in Utah. I'll bring my Tundra and we can sleep in the back. I actually used to live in Sandy, UT. Utah is a beautiful state but I wasn't the right religion.

I will not post anything, lover or hater, to Casey's blog and I will boycott as long as necessary.

I did check his Sitemeter and he is getting a lot of hits from Countrywide and various governmental agencies. Therefore, I'm going to hope and think Casey is not moderating because the hammer of reality may be finally making a dent in his thick skull. Those thoughts will sustain me through this day that has turned to hell.

Also, I got a not nice phone call from the real estate agent in Utah who facilitated the wrap on that house. I had filed a complaint with documentation from CS's own blog with the Utah Division of Real Estate. Yikes! I can't believe they think I'm the person who might be afraid of phone calls.

Dolph, I'll hurry fast and get my work done so I can check in on your blog tonight.

Love, Heidi

I have one post awating moderation at IAFF. Something curious happened yesterday though, I posted a comment hatin on Casey regarding income taxes, then posted again with the a correction. The correction post was approved but the original was not for some time then suddenly appeared about 30 min later. I have no doubt he spends too much time moderating his blog, blocking out all the haters must be exhausting and the root cause of the 12 hr naps.

Take the idoiot down. He is a serial criminal with no regret for his actions. He continues to contrive more schemes and cons with blatant disregard for the law. Mortgage fraud, mail fraud, pyramid schemes, solicitation of investment under false pretenses, credit card fraud, corporate credit fraud, you name it Casey will do it.

We all need to go to this site and get the FBI engaged, this guy is a menace to society and the fact that he is attempting to profit from his criminal activity without any consequences makes me sick.

Oh, and just btw, being judged incompetent to stand trial does NOT get you off, so to speak.

Once you're declared incompetent, you're generally to be held in an institution for the purpose of returning you to competency, so that the trial(s) may go ahead. It's only supposed to be a temporary measure, the goal of the legal system in a competency action is to restore competency to prosecute. Regular hearings are held to assess if competency has returned and the person can be held until it does, if it ever does.

It's not like insanity, which he also wouldn't qualify for.

Thanks Heidi. My idea is to do a roll call of the cast of characters and a brief breakdown of their complicity in all this.

I figure if I don't have a picture of somebody, I will link their website.

If it's not up by midnight (and you need sleep) check back in the morning.

As for the boycott, I am in and that is why I decided to start a complimentary site to Robert's. I still love coming here and reading from my favorite people (oh crap, am I sounding like a butt kisser...drat) who share the passion I have for busting people who are posterchildren for greed.

One thing about blogger...I didn't go with Wordpress because I saw how easy it is to take down a site. One of my main jobs is to bust websites dealing in illegal downloads of music. I find Blogger to be very hard to send one of those DMCA complaints and be immediately pulled. Google/Blogger INSIST you file a cease and desist and that costs serious cash.

So long live Exurbannation and all the other sites that expose hypocrisy in the real estate business.

I have a few posts pending at IAFF. One tells Casey that if he starts having suck-ups like Nigel moderate only 'sunshine' posts, I'm gone.

I posted the following quote I found on another blog in the previous thread at IAFF and think it kind of sums it up for me:

Between Casey and the NoLimitsLadies people this is really coming across as “The Battle Of The Retards.”

I wonder if Duane told Casey to “Happy Up” the comments because he was tired of the criticism he, and his company, were getting. I wouldn’t be surprised if he told Casey he was going to pull the sponsorship unless Casey did something about it.

If I’m right, the little fraudmeister is once again caught between a rock and a hard place. If he doesn’t “Happy Up” the place, say goodbye to Duane and the $750/month he desperately needs. If he does filter out the “Haters”, everyone will get pissed off and leave, effectively killing the blog. Loose – Loose, not Win-Win, a sour deal if you ask me.

I’d rather hang out here anyway; I’m tired of all his bullshit. Also, even though it might be funny for a while, I’m against making fake positive posts on the IAFF.

More public records snooping on Casey, INCLUDING HIS MOM'S E-MAIL ADDRESS. Read on!

OK, we all know Casey's dad is Aleksey. A public records search reveals that Casey's mom is named Anna... and she's the only "Anna Serin" I could find in the United States. She turns 44 later this year.

A simple web search shows that she works for the Grant Joint Union High School District (GJUHSC) in Sacramento.

Her e-mail address is:

AnnaSerin@grant.k12.ca.us

... and her work phone is:

916-286-5152

The webpage where I got this information is here (it even has her office hours!!):

... anyone up for informing Ms. Serin what he oldest son is up to?? hehe.

Found this post from Nigel. Apologies if we've posted this before.

It's classic and further proof this guy is full of it (found this at Businessweek.com and it was posted on Sept. 26):

I don't think the solution to this perceived problem is to increase lending standards. The banking and finance industry has done a good job in finding ways to extend more credit to borrowers while hedging losses through mortgage backed securities.

It's obvious many borrowers with option arms have been squeezed during the past 18 months and there have been unscrupulous mortgage brokers who have placed borrowers in bad loans. If there were more states that required licensing of mortgage brokers, fraud would go down.

The Fed has finally paused its' tightening cycle and many predict it will lower rates in the near term. This will be good for option arm and adjustable HELOC holders and I'm willing to bet we'll see pre-forclosure rates go down and the real estate prices will start to rebound in the spring.

Come on, Nigel's great!

On Planet Nigel, you borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars, and secure the loan by using a house as collateral. It is then perfectly acceptable to sell the collateral to someone else, without informing the idiot lender that there is now nothing to secure the loan. It is up to the lender to constantly search public records to see if you have done this or not.

You can't make this stuff up...

@ Robert:

Countrywide is not crooked? Tell it to these folks.

http://tinyurl.com/36txjn

I agree that in CS's case they were protecting themselves, but they are not straight up.

@ Wishful Thinker

I have come to see that laughing at him is like laughing at a special Olympic contestant.

Say a guy with one arm insisted on fighting Shannon Briggs for the WBO title. He made a complete fool of himself and acted like a little dancing monkey just for the attention. For a while you might feel a little sorry for the guy and admire his spunk. When he insisted on 'competing' again, you'd wonder why and probably comment. When he insisted on 'competing' time after time, no matter how badly he was beaten, I think you are allowed to laugh, and then turn away.

Sound familiar?

I think you are right a very good attorney could turn this thing around for CS. But would CS know a good attorney from a crook? Nope, he'd choose the crook.

Stop suggesting that, please. Imagine how you would feel if CS not only got off with no punishment, but actually made some coin in the process! I'd go insane.

10:22 Anon. Pick a name, any name.

Take the idoiot down.

I think CS was greedy and stupid first, a criminal second. He saw RE as a way to riches, and committed fraud as a way to reach those goals. CS fully intended to sell these homes at a profit and move onto the next round of flips. He never tried to hide his activities.

The FBI are going after folks who are criminals first, the ones who used housing only as part of a larger scheme. These guys take the money and run, and cover their tracks as they go.

Casey will be around later.

Just a thought provoker:

It's been said that CS was just unlucky in his timing. If he had done this in 2003, he'd be rich now.

I contend that if he'd done this in '03, he would bot be $2.2MM in debt, rather $25MM. He's have created his own personal ponzi scheme, bcasued he would not have known when to stop or when the market turned.

Thoughts?

I checked IAFF today and the first thing I always do is skip straight to the comments. My stomach knotted up when I realized there were none.

I figured you guys would be here. I did not post often on IAFF, well, because I did not have anything nice to say.

A few notes about today's comments.
1] I do believe Countrywide engages in unethical and illegal business pratices.

a. I had four primary mortages with them. I was one month behind on the mortgage but still making payments each month. I called them to let them know the house was for sale and I moved out of state. The real estate agent went to show the house and all the locks had been changed. It took me 4 days to resolve the issue. Customer Service had no record of the locks being changed. I was routed to a thousand different people. (ok that is a small exageration)They admitted they had no legal basis to 'sieze' the house from me as it was not in forclosure.

b. Fast forward last week to when the house sold. I recieved an extra fee from the lender for $500 for changing the locks.

c.Also, on my mortgage account the taxes were paid on 11/30. Well the tax office had not recieved them and I had to pay the taxes again in to another escow account. I should get the cash back whenever the tax office recieves the check from Countrywide. (as they removed the money from my excow account months ago!)

d. They sent a letter to my homeowners insurance company "informing them that the house was vacant and my insurance was no longer valid". I recieved a letter from Countrywide that they added Balboa insurance to my account at twice the rate I was previously paying. Well Allstate had never dropped me. Countrywide just wanted to get more money out of me. This has happened many times before. They will add their expensive insurance even after they just paid for a year renewal out of my escow account.

2] Dolph, is your new site about illegal downloads? Please say it isn't so. The RIAA is really scary.

Anonymous said...

When casey says no more "hate" what he really means is no more reality!

He said

"I’m looking for a couple of trusted individuals to help me start filtering out all the negative non-constructive comments with personal attacks, etc. Time to start changing the mood of this blog from negative to positive."

Can you imagine the next few days' exchange betwen his number one suck up Nigel and Casey?

Casey "Hey, there are no new comments? Is there a glitch?"
Asskisser "No, I just screened em like you asked, got rid of all the haters, negativity, truth, anything that makes Duane, yneone you, your wife or me look bad."
Casey "Kay and?"
Nigel "Nothing is left. oh, I did put in my own comments of course kissing your butt and spamming my website..you don't mind do you?"
Casey "Nah, it's all good. By the way, have you been looking at that apartment complex in Utah for me?"
Nigel "Sho nuff, my butt just tingles with anticipation if we can swing that deal!"

Anyway, my blog is all about exposing the Caseys of the world. I will start with Casey and if the readers wish, we can always start new files on other scamsters.

Yes, the RIAA is scary. I wouldn't mess with them. I guess I am in the minority where I respect the right of ownership with regards to IP.

Speaking of IP, since my blog is about commentaries, is it proper to use Casey's image without asking permission? My understanding of the DMCA is that I have a fair use right to it if my post is either an original commentary or an opinion piece.

from expert law, "a person can become an "involuntary public figure" as the result of publicity, even though that person did not want or invite the public attention".

"A person can also become a "limited public figure" by engaging in actions which generate publicity within a narrow area of interest."

My opinion, for all it's worth is that Casey's blog and its contents are within the confines of his public conduct. As long as you don't defame or lie about people who have allowed themselves to become a public figure but just state your opinion, its free speech. Hopefully, there are better legal minds on this blog than me though.

Hey everyone. I've got a couple of posts in the IAFF queue; and have just taken a moment to check in, and realized that they have yet to be moderated. Still.

I did't really occur to me that Nigel would be the new 'moderator'. I was pleasantly surpised that Casey was going to let someone else take the reins, but it only occurred to me later on that he probably wouldn't be inclined to pick the most objective person. Indeed; posts like ours will probably be 'sunshined' out of existence.

It must be nice to just decide that what's being published should be in a positive light, instead of just reflecting reality. The point of the blog will be lost entirely as a consequence.

Sometimes I envy Casey; because it really must be a significantly less stressful life if you can just screen out the things that are difficult so you can go on smiling while sipping a juice that cost you the equivalent of a tank of gas.

Oh well. I'm sure I'll survive well enough without IAFF; because if Nigel does become the moderator (or YneOne, who is particularly mealy-mouthed and stupid)--I really can't see any reason to return to IAFF (as if I had a good one before except to witness the ruination of a marriage and life).

Part of me thinks that the 'radio silence' might be because Casey's got consequences on his doorstep.

I don't see why posting Galina's picture would be a problem. Sercasey's got them all over Flickr. If she complains, take it down.

I don't particularly agree with spamming Casey's mom. A well-thought out letter trying to get her to intervene and talk some sense into his head would probably be helpful, but posting any involved party's email on any of these sites is the equivalent of releasing the hounds.

And I agree with Bulgy B above. I don't support illegal downloading EXCEPT in the case of Metallica. May those douche-lords never see another dirty penny! Ugh, watching those fuckers suckle at the shriveled teat of the RIAA is disgusting.

Ok, wait, I got a little off topic there. What were we talking about again? Oh yeah, Casey and Nigel suck. I mean Cagel and Nisey suck. Ah hell, I can't even tell them apart anymore.

@Backstage

You say Casey was greedy first and a criminal second, but I disagree. CS knew he was perpetrating fraud on his mortgage applications, he knew he was soliciting investments under false pretenses, he knows he is attempting corporate fraud. he may be doing all of this because he is greedy, but that is why most criminals commit their crimes.

CS has set himself up as someone that should be made an example of. He has received so much media attention that if their turns out to be no consequences for his actions then many people will have the impression that itis ok for the "little guy" to commit these crimes and have no fear that they will be prosecuted. this is dangerous.

The FBI needs to get engaged on this, CS will not stop until he is forced to stop. I do not doubt that even if he were to serve time he would get out and pick up right where he left off.

This guy is a classic con man. He has lied to his family, his friends, his business associates and anyone else that will listen to him. He always has an excuse for his criminal behavior, usually its something like "Gee, I had no idea that was a bad thing to do." He knows fully well what he is doing and he is trying to game the system.

He needs to go down hard, and if he doesn't look for many other idiots to take his shining example of how to get away with it and follow in his footsteps.

It's probably fine if it's a picture that goes with a post, but using it as your main graphic in the header may not be considered fair use at all.

That being said, the chances of Casey having the time or money to bring action against you seem to be slim.

LOL, I could use the kiss today but it would probably be more than these guys could handle. Thanks anyway.

Anon@10:42 & Fallow Flipper, Ya'll are so demanding but I guess I love you anyway. I have not even gotten to eat yet today. I have legislative testimony at 2:00 that had to have preparation and releases so give me a chance! I'm having a crazy day.

So I'll drink my Diet Coke and tell you all that I received a phone call from a certain real estate agent from the 801 area code. He disagreed with my complaint to the Real Estate Commission and told me that it was illegal for me to file a complaint against him and he would sue me for doing so. Right, I'm so scared. There you go. Nothing too exciting or unexpected.

I really don't care because like Dolph my only concern with this mess is exposing the Casey's of our country. I'd like to hope there is a place for fair play and justice in the US and that we won't lose ourselves, the middle class, hardworking people of this country to lazy fraudsters like Casey. He contributes nothing of value to this country. End rant, head for hearing room.

Since when is it illegal to file a complaint? I'd ammend your complaint to include this phone call adding intimidation and then possibly alert the State Bar that someone is doling out legal advice without a liciense. Like our Nega-Hero this guy doesn't know when to shut up.

@BACKSTAGE & ROBERT

My “(crooked)” comment regarding CountryWide was at best flippant. But I’ve been to some of the websites about them and they are chilling, from both the customers and employees points of view. And yes you can find websites like this about a whole lot of high-visibility businesses (Google “Borders Books & Music” for example), but the length and breath of those dedicated to CW are impressive. And the comments ring true to me, having worked in one of those sweatshop, high-volume, low quality environments once or twice in my career. Bank of America better be getting them very cheap, as in “bail-out” money, because all their low-end loans are going belly up.

@BACKSTAGE

Thanks for your view of my Special Olympics analogy. I don’t see it quite your way, but I do see your point.

One thing we absolutely agree about is that his financial self-immolation has nothing whatever to do with timing. The fact that the market turned a few months before his entry simply hastened the inevitable. In Casey-talk “cash back” means profit. Even if he managed to sell a property for more than he paid he still would have pissed the money away. No plan, no budget, no control, no brain.

Can you just imagine him during those heady few months, flying around, making and answering call after call, hiring the contractors, meeting with the RE agents. Casey the Mogul.

Anonymous said...

@ heidi,

FYI,

( You already know this) Once someone puts you on "notice" that they are intending to bring legal action on you, it is interpreted that the other party is in fact going to move on that threat. So essentially, this sleazeball now has to follow through or he has broken the law.

You cannot go around threatening to sue people.

You now have the right and maybe the obligation to hire an attorney and counter sue, based on the fact that Mr. Sleazeball realtor has notified you of his intent to bring action against you. Kinda like that "govern yourself accordingly" mumbo jumbo.

Also, if he did in fact convey to you that your actions were illegal, I would incorporate that into your complaint/countersuit.

I love these stupid realtors. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. He obviously has no clue whom he is dealing with.

Anonymous said...

I think that many of you are giving Casey to little credit.

He is not naive, he is a very astute criminal.

He set out to defraud the banks. He new he was lying on the loans. He thought he would make money and not get caught.

Then the market softened.

Most people on this blog have given him good advice at one time or another & are pissed because he seemed to ignore it. He did not ignore it, he did the opposite.

He is a sociopath, but he is not stupid.

Advice: see a lawyer
I believe he did this months ago. Before starting the blog. I believe he was informed that he was going to jail unless he could come up with a good defense. Insanity would be his only defense. @anonymous pointed out that an insanity defense requires demonstrating that one is incapable of understanding that their actions constituted a crime.

He has subsequently, signed every contract he could get his hands on. He as ignored every possible opportunity to do something positive. He goes out and spend more money that he doesn't have on things tangential to his salvation. He throws himself on the mercy of every charlatan he can find to solve his problems.

This is because he doesn't care about "fixing" the problem. He wants to prove he is incapable of understanding the problem. That is his one and only out. The fact that the bills are piling up, that the money he spends is someone else's has absolutely no meaning to him. All his problems will all go away as soon as it's safe to BK.

I believe he fully intends to, and has intended to, declare BK since he started this blog. He is waiting until he can create a sufficient body of evidence of his "incompetence" to avoid prison.

Your advice was not ignored. He did the opposite! He has been trolling for what the sane thing to do would be and invariably did the opposite.

Clearly insane, what? No, crazy like a fox.

He is also an attention hound, so he loves the fact that he is pulling one over on everyone. The fact that everything he is doing has people begging him to "get help"; "pay attention", fix this or that; keeps him going.

attention + setting up and insanity plea = Casey. Accept this and his actions starts to make sense.

People first speculated that it was a hoax, but the properties turned out to be real. This led to confusion. Why would someone do so much obviously insane stuff. I think the answer is, he did it on purpose.

As an aside, I find it fascinating that the cockroaches (DL & prjsbz) have crawled out from the woodwork to feast on the total lack of anything here, and are fighting over it!

Duane calls me around 1pm and he asked me if I’m taking care of priorities (talking to lenders about a plan), I said No while telling him what I was doing, he got upset with me and asked me why he should work with me if I’m not handling my side of the deal and not “calling the lenders and making amends”. I thanked him for his patience with me and I told him I will hang up the phone and get to work on handling debt right away

Then Casey goes into a longwinded whine about everything EXCEPT talking to his..........you got it..........lenders!

Backstage, I did post an update a while back. I DO own multiple homes but I have owned them for multiple years. I do not consider myself a flipper. I did not buy 8 houses in one year. We kept having to move for work and instead of selling just rented out the houses. We never recieved cash back at closing.

My situation now:
1st home: TN house, still being rented, renter is still very behind on rent. I do not have the heart to kick him out becuase his wife is dying and they have three kids.

2nd home: still rented by hubby's parents (they pay on time every month)

The next two houses were the ones we were having issues with. Both we vacant and had been on the market for months. We had to move across the country to take higher paying jobs to pay the mortgages along came very high rent.

3rd house: Tenant moved in. The loan is assumable with 5.6% fixed with 28 years left on loan. The tenant will assume the loan in one year. Currently he is renting for full amount of mortgage and has signed the sales contract. He can back out of the contract but we would get to keep his earnest money.

4th house: Sold last week at a loss. The loss was almost 7k but it was worth it to get the beast off my back.

I was very afraid we would not be able to keep up with the mortages on 2 vacant houses. We had 6 mortgages (4 primary, 2 seconds) plus high rent in a big city.

We did what any self respecting person would do. We worked our a$$es off the get ahold of our debt. My husband stopped buying coffee each day and I stopped shopping. Through our sacrfices we were able to hold on to our houses until they sold or became rented. I am not perfect and have been late on the mortgages but never over 60 days and always managed to get caught up.

I have been interested in MacroEcon (it is personal finance that eludes me) for a while and I believe the market has not hit bottom yet.

I do not believe Casey will fare well if he continues to live above his means. He first needs to get mutiple jobs and his wife too. I worked while in college.

It is ok to make bad decisions while you are young if you learn from them and take steps to rectify the situation. I am 25 and have made some bad financial decisions in the past (not selling houses when we moved out, living above my means) I am learning from my mistakes. After paying all the mortgages for 6 months now I know how to live below what I earn and now I can use the extra cash each month to plan for retirment.

Anonymous said...

@ Rick

he may be doing all of this because he is greedy, but that is why most criminals commit their crimes.

I think with CS it's an ends justifing the means. I think that he always intended to pay back the money. He wanted to skim the cream off the top. He made (and continues to make) some catastrophiclly bad decisions.

The difference is that CS does not try to cover up his tracks. He's either a really dumb criminal, or never thought that he'd have a problem. I bet on the latter. That's why I think the FBI will use their limited resources to go after really bad guys, not stupid ones.

The difference is subtle, and the end result should be the same, as his actions are criminal. Was Casey stupid? Yes. Reckless? Yes. Criminal? Yes. Intentionally criminal? Yes. Wanting to defraud the lenders and not repay? No.

Now, on the corporate credit thing, you got me there. That's delusional.

Anonymous said...

Stupidtoo, it's people like you that deserve compassion, yeah you took risks but you accepted them, and actually did something about your situation. Congrats to you and your hubby for making the right choices regarding belt tightening.

Casey's post was long and mostly trivial activities. Numerous references to switching to electronic statements/bills to reduce mail. LOL - he can ignore email just as easily, actually even better as there's no longer a physical stack to nag him.

He has no money, no job, a deterioriating marriage, no way to pay bills ... game about over.

Oh, and the Utah buyers are going to show up in a week or 2 with a baseball bat.

Hey Casey - Use Some Of That MAGICAL Attraction Power!!

Anonymous said...

Legion, Thank you. I never posted for compassion or sympathy. I wanted advice from people who are more intelligent than me about RE.

I was very thankful for the advice I recieved. I starting marketing the houses on every free website I could find, like Craigslist. I think it was the kick in the bottom my realtor needed.

We had a deal that if I brought the buyer to the table she would only get 3% commision. Once she relized that I was bringing in prospective buyers she stepped up her sales efforts and got rid of the houses.

Hey! We got us some power. If Mr. UT Realtor continues to get nasty, we can inform his firm, in our usual, compassionate way, that such calls are uncalled for and probably illegal. I think 200 or 300 e-mails might make the point.

If e-mails don't work, phone calls might do the trick. Or how about 50 additional complaints about the property.

Heidi went out on a limb. I, for one, want to support her as best as I can.

NLL got the point pretty quickly. Mr UT Realtor might need some attention.

Whenever you are ready, Heidi.

The fact that you are letting a man get behind in his rent because his wife is dying, despite your own financial problems, that just says soemthing about you and your husband, that is true goodness. Means much more than Casey tithing $300 a month, which I'm sure he doesn't, but just throwing it in there along with all the religious references while he is still robbing other people. Too bad Sandy lost a great resident such as yourself, but I can understand you feeling like you didn't fit in here.

I left ( as in had my name removed) from the dominant religion here in Utah and it has cost me a very pretty penny in terms of business and other shunning.

Sorry to hear that the Utah realtor is threatening you, I agree with Robert, amend the complaint and add his threatening you for exercising your freedom. I think I will look into he and his wife and file my own complaint to see if they made sure the lender was notified of the wrap. If the realtor really gives you trouble let him know that the fix up work that he performed on Caseys home ( for the consideration of $2000 and a 1% increase in the commission) requires the work to be performed by a licensed contractor ( anything over $1000 labor and materials). You can file a complaint with Utah Department of Professional Licensing under the contractor listing.

If my site and Exurbannation can corner the market on the 24/7 Casey criticism market his site numbers drop like a rock and he will be even more screwed. We'll then see where all these so-called positive emailers are. They don't drive interest in a site. Casey needs to realize that us "haters" drive the traffic there.

I don't post anywhere near as regularly as the rest of you do, but I've been following the Serin saga ever since it first surfaced on Ben's blog. I don't comment often, and I've been doing it less and less as it's become clear that nothing anyone can say to him has a chance of getting through his thick, deluded skull unless it reinforces the things he believes to be true.

I couldn't resist, I went and checked the latest missive at IAFF. He's beyond screwed. BK is a certainty, it's just a question of how bad it gets for him before he finally goes and does it.

And did I misread, or WTF is G doing, leaving for school at 6:00AM? How much of a dim bulb is she that she has to spend that much time on her studies? She's taking undergrad courses at a dinky community college, this isn't PhD-level coursework at MIT here. Point of Interest to our fellow EN'ers... This thread has more comments than the last TWO on IAFF!!

His traffic is definitely waaaay down. I never knew how large a percentage we "haters" comprised of the total comments on IAFF. It's huge.

Perhaps the combination of diminished traffic along with Casey's inherent self-destructive personality, Duane has closed the checkbook and turned off his cellphone. From the tone of the last conversation he had with the idiot savant, he was pretty ticked off and was ready to call it a day.

I made a complaint to the Real Estate Commission with a copy to the AG's office with documentation from Casey's blog. I questioned whether the agent had properly notified Casey of the consequences of not notifying the lien holder of the change in ownership. Perfectly legitimate question and complaint. I encourage you to do the same if you wish.

Thanks for the info on the fix up money requirement. I will drop a note to the Utah Department of Professional Licensing. These people get paid to harass these guys so I'll let them do it.

@ Stephanie J,

oh come on it would be for the good of humanity! Give me 2 minutes infront of any judge and I will (with no legal training mind you!) have them convinced that not only did you provide a much needed social service. We as a society must stem the tide of Casey's in this country!

@ the most recent IAFF post. LMAO, what a waste of space/time/effort! Time is growing short for DL already!

It's all in my name!

Sorry, should have read "have them convinced that not only did you provide a much needed social service but should be vastly rewarded."

you're 25 with that many houses? Damn congrats. I mean congrats b.c you are actually paying for them whereas our little casey doesn't pay on any. Don't think I would have the courage to attempt that and I'm 35. I wouldn't have the time either. Anyway, as others have said you have a big heart and alot of compassion.

I hope Casey is keeping up with moderation. If so our boycott is working better than one could hope.

Funniest yet, the posts are killing me with MORE "haters!"

LOL...the dumb**s slays me.

I resisted the urge to post on the latest IAFF explaining just what a caveman knows that our FFF doesn't. Aside from the boycott, there was just too much to respond to. Cavemen know a lot more than Casey but, at the same time, he *is* actually dealing with things.

The only thing that got me really angry was putting the Utah wrap problem aside until later. He needs to make things right with the people he's fucking over first and foremost. Since G was part of that fucking over, the Utah buyer's needs take priority over hers as well as Casey's.

Speaking of G and fucking, I agree that something is suspicious about her leaving for community college at 6:00. Unless she has an 8:00 class and a long bus ride (entirely possible, but not certain) something is up. I'd suggest that Casey hire a private dick to follow her around but he can't afford one. Too bad. Being able to prove infidelity would make it harder for G to unload her share of the debts onto him.

Robert, if you're reading this far, may I propose a new post topic? Suppose the best-case scenario, that Casey files for bankruptcy and manages to get all his debts discharged, takes place. Where does everyone see Casey in 10-15 years?

I know some of you have been telling me not to post again on the IAFF. Well it’s not so simple. I get a lot of good advice, some good, some not so good, but I need to take everything with a grain of salt.

Sometimes the pressure of you “Haters” telling me not to click on the IAFF gets to be too much. Look when I first started, I see everyone clicking on the IAFF, so I think its okay everybody’s doing it. If I knew what I was doing was wrong, I would have never have clicked.

I need to ignore some more advice, before I formulate a plan, which I will also ignore. I shall be announcing my clicking plans soon, WHEN I’M READY!

In the meantime, I shall be gone for the next week while I’m attending Dick Glick’s Get Rich Click University and doing some “stuff”. Believe me I’ve been to a lot of GRC seminars and this one is totally different, totally professional (they even give you very own mousepad, that’s yours to keep). If you’re interested in attending make sure you use discount code: VagueGuru123, you’ll be glad you did.

PS: All this typing has worn me out, I’m gonna take a nap for the next 23 hours.

HE CHANGED A POST TO SAY:

that was hilarious however, now more people are getting their CASEY FIX at other sites

and they prob now know much more details about things your not admitting to on this site

so come clean about
chris, the university, ETC.

WHEN ORIGINALLY HE ALLOWED IT TO SAY

"chris and the university scam"

On the boycott thingy, I don't think viewing Casey's site is that big of a deal.

IMO, if we boycott both comments and views, he will go doen much faster. If we just boycott comments, the views will drop off less quickly.

We all know that CS writes drivel. It's the cutting analysis and irreverant humor that keep folks coming back.

Rethinking my previous views, I suggest views are OK, but comments are bad. If CS sees everything dry up all at once, he will stop posting and we will have to talk about macroeconomics, the philosophy or mortgage lending, or (God forbid) Nigel.

Keep him posting, but, as Robert says, don't give him attention.

By the way, Robert, thanks so much for hosting this. You guys are much more fun than IAFF.

If we just boycott comments, the views will drop off less quickly (VG: Right exactly, that’s why must boycott both completely).

We all know that CS writes drivel. It's the cutting analysis and irreverant humor that keep folks coming back to EN. (Well said)

(Exactly!! Good to see to you see the light Backstage)

Ha, that hidden message comment is good.

I hope that whoever Galina is hooking up with is one of the minor IAFF characters. Savvy Chris, Rich Dad's son, Duane, Nigel, Ramit, the birddogging mailman, etc. Keep it in the IAFF family, so to speak. That would make the drama all the sweeter.

Duane sounds like he's starting to see the futility. Somehow, I doubt cable, internet, and cell phone were what he had in mind when he told Casey to work on paying off his creditors. But that $52 roadside assistance was sure a sweet deal.

Miguel said...

Last check was he has about 37 on the current one and about 90 on the next. These are down from the 300+ posts on the last several.

His traffic is definitely waaaay down. I never knew how large a percentage we "haters" comprised of the total comments on IAFF. It's huge.

...and this is probably the equivalent of one of the 300+ post threads, if only because the repeat factor is also waaaaay down. One of the worst side-effects of Casey's tardy moderation is that dozens of people end up posting the exact same thing.

Anonymous said...

It is just a guess, and I have never met the girl, but I suspect that Galya is looking for the best deal possible in her next lover.

I wonder when she comes home from the CC?

Anonymous said...

This is what I think: Galina is not the lazy slugabed eating bon bons and going to class--we only know what Casey says about her. Given his passive-aggressive misogyny, I believe that the poor girl is in denial, and is trying to the "right thing" by her husband, who is lying to her and lying to US about her role in all of this. He lies to and about everything else, so why would this be any different?

Also, I agree with one other poster on IAFF who mentioned that he thinks Casey is only interested in becoming an authorized user on G's cards because he needs yet another source of credit to drain. I feel for the girl; she needs to get out of this situation.

Anonymous said...

I have posted some commentary/responses on my site to his latest drivel.

Galina is a Carmela Soprano-in-training, don't waste any time feeling sorry for her. Her anger is that the gravy train is ending, and that's *all* she cares about. I'd be willing to bet L'il Casey's blue ball is a VERY telling symbol for the state of his marriage.

One of the younger, more dashing readers would have no problems nailing her, just by hanging out on campus, and flashing some cash and proof of wealth at her - all it would take is one meal and a glas of wine, get her talking about her looser (heh) husband, and you are golden.

Smart money is that this is happening, or has happened.

She's ripe for the next sweet talker to sweep her off her feet.

Anyone feeling daring?

(Yes, my loathing and contempt for L'il Casay has grown to the point where I want this to happen. If I were younger, I'd be spending time in the Sacramento area.

I don't go over there anymore, it'd be nice to get recaps of his babbling here. I'd rather Robert get the hits, and bynot going there, and helping to bring L'il Casey's hit count down, it screws L'il Casey's ability to leech off us by trying to sell his site, and it screws Sugar Daddy Duane by destroying his attempt to leech off L'il Casey.

Has anyone contacted that payday loan outfit L'il Casey screwed by shutting down his WF account? Those boys play rough, and I'm sure they'd be interested to know he has no intentions of paying them. Knowing them, however, I'm sure they're already on top of it.

One last obsveration, re: the cell phones. I'm convinced L'il Casey is up to something there. He "lost" his pda thingy, and never followed up. Today, it comes out that they have SEPERATE LINES. Why? I shared an account with an ex girlfriend, and our phones had seperate lines and mailboxes, on the same account. 100% privacy, except when the bill came, and we could both see what numbers were called.

L'il Casey never posts the full truth, it's either a distortion, or half-truth. I thing the PDA went 'missing" because either A. the lenders and payday loan people have been harrassing him, B. the readers of his blog have been calling day and night (hello? L'il Casey? You posted the numbr yourself), or C. he really did misplace a $400 pda.

I wonder if L'il Casey even looks at his wife's bill...could be interesting.

Not that it matters, but it's fun to pick apart his half truths and lies and put the reality together. L'il Casey is a passive aggressive pathological liar, and it's all starting to catch up to him, like it always does. He'll try to keep it all happy smiley face and "organic" (Manure is organic...), but his *true* nature is starting to show. Snippy comments, whining about "haters", banks "stealing" his money, his interpersonal relationship skills are lie about reality/admit he lied when cornered/argue/leave in a huff and slam door on wife.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that household. Anyone want to head to Sac and find his in-laws, invite them out for drinks, and get them talking?

Or...start printing out the posts and replies and handing them to Galina as she waits for the bus or is on campus?

Print flyers for his neighborhood, telling his neighbors a predatory thief lives there, and to under no conditions loan him money?

@ katie--

no. no no no no no. No sympathy for the "woman". (Girl-child.)

Anon 6:33- good point(s).

B*tch has 11 maxed out credit cards, sleazy champagne taste on a faygo/Big K budget and unwisely and pathetically married (young) CS specifically because he "pulled money out of his butt." Puhleeze. Anyone else wanna smack her?

She is playing house. Playing "go to school". Playing wanna be mogul’s wife. Playing big kid games and not doing very well, besides. Casey's latest post (read off of Dolph's site, I don't visit IAFF anymore) and every single other post on the blogosphere that mentions this succubus points out what a pathetic "relationship" she is a party to.
She gets zero sympathy from me (& my girlie-parts,) thanks.

If she'd get at least one job, divorce the idiot, maybe even get some (legit) financial aid & live in modest student housing (or with her folks) for a while, finish a damn degree, and get some independence, ambition, and self respect, then maybe we'd be less inclined to hate her. (Ha. Hater.) Not gonna happen.

She's involved in this charade. From all outward appearances, she's just as spoiled, naive, deluded and plain old ridiculous as her "husband". And the noxious ooze of entitlement, laziness, & petty bitchiness she exudes is infuriating.

Hmm. Not very bright. Not very good. A shrill, harping sack of superficial crap.

I think real men want a strong, smart, decent, self-reliant articulate woman (like the Stephanie J and Heidi's of this board) …oh, but wait, this girl-child married CS.

Perhaps Carmela Serin and her hubby deserve each other. For now. At least until she finds another seemingly well-off wanna-be to f*%@K who can fly her to Hawaii on credit.

love you guys,

PS: Unless you are Homey coming in on a yo-yo-yo intro, turn your frigg'n CAPSLOCK off. (@ fort-- that means you.) It's irritating.

@anon 6:33

OK, I've shut off my sympathy gene. You're right, I think that we have a clue that G is probably already gone.

It's pretty telling when CS doesn't even mention his wife when he comes to the stunning revelation that "I don’t really have a stable job and I don’t know exactly how I will be supporting myself next month."

There goes CS, worshipping at the Shrine of Himself once again. Schmuck.

Arugh! I moved from the Sac area just last summer! I'd be all over trying to nail G and I think I'd have a serious shot. I have cash in the bank, Two newer cars that I paid cash for, plus I'm in my early thirties so I could play the "daddy" card oh so sweetly. Man, that would be the easiest boost ever....Someone here HAS to tap that. And then drop it like it's hot, lol.....

I agree with the comment about the phone. Why have two seperate accounts instead of one unless someone is hiding something. And how in the fuck do you "loose" a $400 phone? I have an 8525 and that thing doesn't leave my sight EVER!

DL has got to be pulling up stakes soon. No way CS is gonna do what DL wants him to do. Ain't gonna happen.

@ Homey DA Clown

Man, where do you dig up this shit? The same parcel number and a whole mountain of different addresses? That ain't right. Utah is looking mighty shakey indeed.

Go Heavy!

Anonymous said...

G makes me ill. I cannot fake sympathy for her. I am so tired of women who play the victem. Oh, woe is me, I need a new man to take care of me.

She has, at least, known for months about his issues. Why has she not started working? You know, it is tax season and anyone decent with numbers can get a job at H&R Block and probaly make a bit of cash in overtime. Education is very important but not when you cannot afford basic living expenses. Food and shelter come first.

Aaaron, it wasn't through courage that I attained so many houses. More like stupidity and lack of experience with personal finances.

$52 for roadside assistance! Learn to change a tire. I think Casey and G both need to learn about sacrifice. I would sell my pride to McDonalds, my soul to the devil, and my body to Homey to provide food and shelter for my family.
