What Am I BID?
Sotheby's fired a shot across the bow of all those ostriches with their heads in the sand. You know who I mean; all the idjits claiming the "high end" is immune. Citing poor auction activity the stock opened down 30% this morning. Sotheby's has a local real estate office. Here is a sample page. 3br/3ba for a mere $5.5 million anyone?

Now that that is out of the way...Sotheby's reminds me of David Crisp, thinking they are the creme de la creme, when all they are are a bunch of stuck up snobs selling overpriced shit....
holy shit down 17 dollars or 35% today?!!!?! I should have shorted the hell outta them!
Nov 50 puts were 2.25 yesterday and 16.60 this morning. How's that for a home run?
Allthingsgood posted this at CH.C, I thought it was good enough to cross post it here

ForeclosureHelpBook.com staff changes? Does that mean Casey fired?
@lost cause
the picture Damion put up indicates a Casey Firing. We do not have any confirmed information on it though. Nigel's Koicast indicated that Casey was still in Arizona put getting ready to go back to Sac.
I like Calculated Risk and posted on that thread but it ain't CH.C now is it?
Casey needs to be in Sacto. Too many lose ends that need his massive focused attention. I wouldn't even be surprised if the DA contacted him and said "we can do this easy or we can do this hard..."
I don't know if I have gone to Calculated Risk before, but I it was a good article and I wanted to give credit to where I heard about it.
I don't know who would be stupid enough to pay nearly $11 million for this monstrosity in my area. Why would anyone want to pay that kind of money to live in a house that resembles an office building?
@Serinitis: CalculatedRisk is highly recommended, I read it on a regular basis. The audience is a mixed crowd (present company excluded, of course!), but the hosts (CalculatedRisk and Tanta) really know their stuff and provide excellent insights.
@Akubi: The advantage is that you can stand around the water cooler and talk about the latest TV shows--at home! If the phone is ringing off the hook, you can just hit the intercom and tell Bertha to hold your calls, and if the neighbors are coming over you can always get in touch with Bob the office manager to reserve a conference room. It's the dream home, really.
