Map Porn

This is a good one.

HotPads
I'll put up a few of the best finds. I went to Chatham, Massachusetts and found a few eyeopeners.

Wow, California is a red state now. And Kansas, Nebraska, and Mississippi are blue states. ;-)

I like the overall colors of the map though, kind of reminds me of the rainbow flags I have in my bedroom. :)

I see where my little ol NH town is the opposite of LA

No Hollywood
Cold, lousy weather
ugly local chicks
rusted out cars
Any illegal is locked up until the Mexican consoluate can send money and lawyers.
Foreclosures are at 1:160000

Yup, just a little bit of heaven.

NH in the hizzy!

In fact, only one in 80,000 of us are not in our hizzies...

(The foreclosure rate is much higher in my county than in Simpson's *doh*)

It is an interesting website. But I am seeing info on it that I do not see anywhere else. Is its info accurate?

Jeez there's a lot of red throbbing houses in my Zip. Even with cheap houses in here in Hellhole, morons insisted on stupid loans.

OT, but I think PhDiva is pretty hot. Do you think she'd be up for a Zillow Book shoot?

She's almost as hot as you are.

Childish + messy graphics along with a fairly horrible layout and BIG TEXT everywhere (is this Caseys latest venture?)
Zip has more up to date info.
Redfin is slicker and more logical.
What gives? What did I miss? What's the new wrinkle?

What's the new wrinkle?

Didn't you see the throbbing red houses?

Don't forget to try the listing detail and buy v. rent calculator.

>sigh<

So the next leap forward in RE websites will have to wait until it's cool to buy houses again in 10-15yrs. Still by then maybe zillow will have figured out a better algorithm.

Last! (probably)

Highly improbable.
