How sad is this? The Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge in Big Sur has been red tagged as being beyond repair. California is already a third world country. CalTrans says 6 months to replace. Let's start a clock shall we?
And before you worry... No not 'that' Big Sur Bridge. The Bixby Creek Bridge was built in a different time.

There you go. Red tags. Demand the inspectors go hither and yon with their red tags.
Serious question. Is this stuff more interesting than "Kansas City Fed: Regional Manufacturing Activity "Expanded Further" in February"?
What else should I post?
Just speaking for myself..complaining about/making fun of California never gets old.. ;<)
that is some beautiful coastline though..I have to admit
It's only healthy to spread the fun. Baltimore, Floriduh, Poorland, Vancouver BC, Massachusetts...
Last of which. Hoping we are joined from there by an old friend soon.
Cr has gotten very boring.
Sadly "Muddy Economist" has decided to allow the same "stuff" that killed HCN.
Ballamer.
Seattle suffers from pretty much the same afflictions as Poorland...with the main difference people are employed up here.. ;<)
Listening to a cle course on real estate and environmental law. Scary
here's a fun article for you Rob..about the guy (Matt Bowen) who was drafted just in front of Tom Brady in 2000..

That was interesting. I am reminded of a very long history of West Point graduates and similar rises to greatness thatvwerent seen early on.
and he's (Brady) talking about playing into his mid-40's?? jeezus he's not only going to own every record there is for QB's..they will be as untouchable as any record in sports.
Hey! Don't forget those flyover flatland hillbillies! Yes, Muddy econ has the same flavor that wrecked HNC. Reddit sucks.
Maybe a bit more economics that effect daily living. How the come up with the numbers that appear to be cooked.
Yeah. As you certainly know I am no fan of OER and CPI-U and servers others. Then there is median v average. That's a nasty two-step. Then there are "revisions" which always seem to mute whatever trend is being touted. Don't get me started. Oh. Wait. You did just get me started.
It's their jobs to uphold the Constitution of The United States, not do what you think they should do.
You're claiming a contradiction that's not there. The issue is that they're not doing their jobs.
"Cr has gotten very boring."
CR posted an interesting read about the lack of buyers for Chinese owned expensive LA real estate:

Well, what do you expect? The Japanese did the same thing ba,ck went Japan was gonna own the world
Back when
CR is a little late on this subject. The good posters have been talking about this for a long time. They probably got drowned out by the noise. Once again yelling RE is back was kind of was fueled by the Chinese and not real organic growth leaving some of us skeptical to the reality of this statement.
CR is still good but HCN was the complement to his message till all hell broke loose.
LBD I was going to say the same. Late and safe. Bill is good except for demographics but seems set in one outlook and isn't changing as circumstances have changed.

The Chinese could invest in roads. And dams
I imagine the bosses would not like it if the infrastructure was located elsewhere.
Yeah, sort of, but a lot of it is regurgitating other people.
Remember petrodollars and the need to recirculate them?
The pope sez its better to be an atheist than to not pay your workers a living wage and launder money, etc.
Good Morning!
Horizontal snow! Strong wind, good day to stay home.
To the Pope, Tear Down this Wall!
The Vatican should take in a few thousand Syrian refugees..they can afford it..
