Hard to spot things yourself when nothing but clouds in the sky. :-)

We really don't put enough emphasis on light pollution.
I went to the 23 floor outdoor deck at the Chicago Board of Trade Building last Monday night to see the Space Station. It passed almost overhead. The weather was clear but there was too much light to see it.

It's raining here, but this is welcome in the dry season.
Launch in half an hour but weather questionable. Rain light.
You know, Boston is dense, but very walkable. But too cold for me.

Even here outside of town the lights grow stronger but the sky is still dark with stars galore. I don't miss the city anymore. If I want the busy I go visit and the traffic immediately tells me why I left. Freedom to chose where to live is wonderful.

Yeah launch. I'm glad they were Careful. The last failure was needed supplies. If this one missed the station would have been on short rations.
Rain totals abit over six inches locally. Now the chances for another quarter inch Monday is developing.

Bigger storm headed for the Oroville watershed. I think it will be cold enough to be no problem but the news stations are ramping up coverage.
I'd ask what they do with "body waste" on the SS..but I don't think I want to know..

Boston IS very walkable... but no way I could convince my wife to move there because it does get so cold.
Regarding Oroville... I'm not sure a near-disaster's going to be enough to spur real action, given CA's politics.
