What Not to Sell on Craigslist
Quarter million dollar early motorcycle restorations on Craigslist? What does this imply for the entirety of the resale market for anything of value?
Dunno what it means, but if anyone wants a 1947 Ford P/U or a 1960 Impala, drop me a line...And I think it would be fun to have Trump come out strong for restoring Glass Steagall and Single payer, just to watch the Dems Froth at the mouth. The arguments by Bruce Spiva in wlding VS DNC Services have been horrifying and funny at the same time, and the vote rigging in the CA Dem party leadership looks like it's going to get plenty of publicity too.
Tom we can only hope the widening gap between the elite Democrat controlling leadership and the rank and file results in a kidnapping by a real Democrat
The hub and I used to listen to radio Moscow and it was hilarious. Theyn one speaker said something they were not allowed to say and the fun was shortly all over. If somebody has tapes from the old Rado show, I bet they could make some money.
Remember when the Dem Convention came to LA? There was an article in LA Weekly(?) talking about how the moneyed elite used the private parking lots, entrances, elevators and hallways to get to their exclusive skyboxes & clubs in the newly opened Staples Center -- never having to be exposed to the peasantry below. Pretty obvious then where their true priorities laid.
I'd be shocked if the DNC didn't already have membership into the new exclusive LAX terminal, for those times when their Gulfstreams aren't available.
I wonder if there is some legal remedy against a state who doesn't adequately screen for citizenship when doling out goodies like voting rights. I'd like to see the CA repubs file a class action lawsuit against the state...let it go to up to the Supes to decide.
one thing is certain though..your mexican heather will be given free education all the way thru college..which should give her plenty of time to participate in protests of how badly she is being treated in America..
He's building a magnificent new walk way in the front for the Marigolds to admire. I have a Japanese cucumber to plant!! Also 2 roses and 18 marigolds. So maybe 60 more marigolds.
I took a bunch of gardenias to the UU church to give away. And my talk on the pre American Revolution went over big. I wonder where gardenias are from?
you missed the glory days of the Orioles though..late 60's/early 70's
awesome pitching staff..they actually has four starting pitchers win 20 games one year (Palmer, McNally, Cuellar and Dobson)...never happened before..never will happen again.
great offense too.. F Robinson, B Robinson, B Powell, etc
sucked having to play those guys 20 times a year..
Somehow I can't see anyone trying to grow Merlot in Malibu, but I'm sure it's possible in one of the umpteen microclimates there. I wonder if the Christmas Tree farm is still operating up in Latigo Canyon?
> You know, someone could jump in here and say something financial or housing related.
OK. I noticed today a few houses are coming on the market here near Echo Beach. I heard a rumor that one of them is priced under $1 million, but no idea which one it is.
Or was the tree farm in Coral Canyon? It's the canyon where the road hits PCH just West of Coral Beach. Must remember to take my memory booster pills, somehow I keep forgetting to take them ;-)
A little citrus. Maybe some strawberry. Mmm. Passion fruit, mmm, and, oh, there's just like the faintest soupçon of like, uh, asparagus, and, there's a, just a flutter of, like a, like a nutty Edam cheese.
Mike. Lol. The Syrah was strange. Thin and no earthiness. I swigged and said "spicy." The pourer said "exactly." So yea I did have a wine conversation.
Oh and finished the glass while playing a friendly game of Boccé under the California Live Oaks looking over the giraffe enclosure. And yes before Liz asks, we carpooled in the Tesla.
Back in the 1960's, a classmate said that his friends were buying some army surplus Indian motorcycles. He said that they were packed in grease and had been stored that way for years. Apparently all rubber components (gaskets?) were partially dissolved by the grease and would have to be replaced. They thought it would be a lot of fun, work, and maybe a pretty good investment. I never heard anymore about the venture.

The NPR "commentators" are being preemptively brutally condescending of everything Trump might say.
G'morning y'all

NPR is radio Moscow isn't it?
I can see no downside to restoring even expanding Glass-Stegal.
Tom we can only hope the widening gap between the elite Democrat controlling leadership and the rank and file results in a kidnapping by a real Democrat
The day they announced the end of Glass-Stegal I cringed. Even I knew then the value of separation.
Might as well be....
Well... The banksters might decide to tank the economy... There's that
In Dawgifornia the financial industry is relegated to three sectors. You can be a bank or investment house or insurer. Pick one and only one.
I would like those.
In answer to your question.
Nothing is worth anything.
"Nothing is worth anything"
Not unless someone see's the value in their eyes. Like art.

Dawg,

Quick Channel Islands Air Force update:
The breakwater just outside the harbor looks like a Pelican Parking Lot. They're Heeeeeer!
Check out the CA DNC convention from yesterday. John Burton and the gang are always so classy. Just ask them.
CA DNC convention
do they start the proceedings with the Mexican National Anthem??
After the chairman Mao prayer.

Planted more Mexican Heather, oh, noez!
will it be voting??
apply for food stamps on it's behalf..you might get lucky
Can you buy fertilizer with food stamps?
excellent question..I look forward to standing behind you in line at Home Depot while you argue that..
one thing is certain though..your mexican heather will be given free education all the way thru college..which should give her plenty of time to participate in protests of how badly she is being treated in America..
we should really find a way to commercialize our exchanges Liz (podcast, blog etc)...I'm thinking..
"Liz & Mike..as far away politically as they are geographically" :)
Did you try the baking soda and vinegar?
sponsored by Arm & Hammer Baking soda..perfect!!
It's interested only in fertilizer.
How flattering. Great badinage.
For what. FIRE ANTS?
ESPN would pick us up..but I'd be fired after a day..and then it would just be the Liz show..and she knows nothing about sports...
wait..that would be perfect for them
Watching the hub work.

climate armageddon??
Japs!!
Ick
Tv?
Ick. I know Gus Triandos was a catcher for the Orioles in the 50s. Was a real fan in the 50s,as a teenager. I got over it.
Oh, dear goddess! I bought it at home depot! Which will be the last store left standing.
wow..Gus Triandos..good call
looked him up..lifetime .244 hitter..decent power though..30 HR's in '58..which is a lot for back then..
I took a bunch of gardenias to the UU church to give away. And my talk on the pre American Revolution went over big. I wonder where gardenias are from?
actually..30 HR's is great for anytime...
I wonder where gardenias are from?
my guess would be Gardena CA
give us some of your main talking points from your "pre-revolution" speech
And Jimmy Piersall was supposed to be a nut job in those unenlightened times. My family was not into football.
It was 40 minutes long!
George Wash freed his slaves, but Martha didn't. The real tea party tossed 1m $ their money,.into the drink.
Not main points, but odd facts.
China, maybe. Subtropical or Tropical Asia or Africa. They were named for a plant guy named Garden. Not kidding.
Piersall was "misunderstood"..
you missed the glory days of the Orioles though..late 60's/early 70's

The Brit's had a point in some of the stuff they did
Who? You?
I remember Palmer and Robinson. My mom liked Yastremsky. Not necessarily his playing, but his name. Yastremsky Yastremsky she used to say.
You know, someone could jump in here and say something financial or housing related. We wouldn't object, would we?
oh yeah..Yaz was the Red Sox back then..
I'll let cinco or rob gush appropriately.. :<)
absolutely..we always welcome guest inputs on the Liz and Mike show
Quick check in from the Malibu Winery. Hope everyone is well.
Hey Rob.. Liz & I are using your turf for an audition for ESPN..hope you don't mind!!
Free Chardonnay Rose and Syrah. Nothing bothering me.
no Merlot?? hehehe
I'm drinking Merlot right now.
H2o on the rocks over here.
Pressure cookers are not just for bombs. Wife has made a lot of good food with hers. :)
Is the Rose made from their Syrah grapes?

sweat equity makes this your dream home!!

Yeah, if it's under $1M, it probably needs at least $250K of work done ASAP.
Which I could not afford unless we spent most of our money, which I don't want to do. Lot size? House square feet.
sips Merlot..
"tastes like the back of a LA school bus!!"
I like Cabernet better, but it's what the hub bought
You've tasted that, have you?
I'm doing quotes from "Sideways" if you didn't know...
Here's how I picture Rob right now.. ;<)
A little citrus. Maybe some strawberry. Mmm. Passion fruit, mmm, and, oh, there's just like the faintest soupçon of like, uh, asparagus, and, there's a, just a flutter of, like a, like a nutty Edam cheese.
Didn't see it. Heard it was good.
No, no, no. I like all varietals. I just don't generally like the way they manipulate chardonnay in California. Too much oak.
> No, no, no. I like all varietals. I just don't generally like the way they manipulate chardonnay in California. Too much oak.
You know that you buy unoaked chard from several California wineries, right? It's not very interesting.
I'm just pulling quotes from the movie script sm_l ...
Two buck chuck tastes fine to me..
Mike. Lol. The Syrah was strange. Thin and no earthiness. I swigged and said "spicy." The pourer said "exactly." So yea I did have a wine conversation.
Sadly Two Buck Chuck is now Tres Dollaros Swallows.

Oh and finished the glass while playing a friendly game of Boccé under the California Live Oaks looking over the giraffe enclosure. And yes before Liz asks, we carpooled in the Tesla.
We won the game and finished in time for the Hula Girl demo. Such is the life of a lower middle class Californian.
Cinco is a football guy... Baseball is just filler between the Superbowl and the start of the football preseason
Hula girl demo??
that must violate multiple California codes..besides making no sense!!
Malibu, free wine, Luau buffet... what's to make sense? Duuude, go with the flow.
New post.

Most!? Liz is a millionaire!!!
In the afternoon... After beans and franks in the cafeteria... I'd imagine
Why not save your money and chew on an oak board?
