Riverpark Update II
Riverpark is my candidate poster child for the Great SoCal housing bust. It has everything going wrong. In coming posts I'll show the stupid traffic circles, outrageous Mello-Roos, excessive HOA dues, covenants, density mitigation and more. But to start the old cliche: A picture is worth a thousand words. Graphitti from one of the gangs attempting to claim Riverpark as their territory.

Are those damned dentists tagging again?
The Mayor is an Optometrist.
The nerb of some people!
Oooohhh, master planned community gang turf war!
"Meet you on the back nine, punk!"
"Your parking space is gonna be mine, bitch!"
There is one of these here in the PHX area. Eveything was well thought out, except that the only way to get there from the city is a two-lane highway. Ouch.
Robert, any chance of doing an investigation into Pardee's Moorpark development that is axing Mello Roos only for buyers after 1/1/07?
Already on top of that Moorpark disaster. One of 4 I am following. #1 over the new PetCo. #2 behind the College, #3 I've already commented upon inthe Ventura County Star pages. #4? You'll have to wait. ;-)
I'm actually on the developer's side re: Moorpark disaster. Success for Pardee there could mean more developers following suit.
I'm with you ocrenter. Pardee doesn't deserve any more restrictions on their business practices. VenCo has lots of conditions as it is. The only thing worse than rapacious developers is developers acting as public policy agents. I hate Mello-Roos besides so less Mello-Roos even as an accounting dodge is fine by me. I commented as RC and blasted the people complaining and even got a retraction of sorts on the discussion site.
