Top O' The Blog 01.26.07

The domain caseyserin.info now redirects here. Shortly I will update this to link directly to Casey relevant articles only. In the mean time enjoy as we enter a new week. Hey, if your week doesn't start with a weekend you've got your prior issues as much as Casey does. ;-)

Sitemeter reports web overload. Might be local since I clued people in to use it to track who visits Casey. Thanks to the recent topics and favorable mentions elsewhere this blog is #21 at blogtopsites for real estate category. Note also there is an ad at the top. Please don't click. well, sure click if you honestly interested in the product service. I chose the smallest, most obviously and ad format they had to make it easy to ignore. It is there for personal educational purposes. If it actually starts to make money I'll pull it. At least after I make back the $2.24 I "invested" in purchase of caseyserin.info Sweeet.

Hey Robert,

So glad you set this site up so we can express how we really feel about that little weasel. He deletes 2 out of every three of my posts - guess it is "personal attacks" that he files those under. But I read this one last nite that he let slip thru and it really pissed me off - I wanted to post it here because he sure won't post it on his site.

"Wow Casey, you moderate to try to keep yourself from looking bad but you sure don't care about others. If I was Amy and saw that you purposefully let this thru (after being given a choice to hit delete), not only would I try myself to get every dime I could from you, but I sue you for defamation afterwards. How about these litle gems - did you leave them to provide a chuckle for your audience:

"Wow, your realtor is HOT. I’ll be she wants to close the deal (no, not “close the deal”) is because she leased her car but bought her boobs.
You can easily turn a car back in when you can’t afford it, but when it’s your boobs, that a bill a girl has just gotta pay.

Oh well, just get a nice look at Amy’s rack while she’s still around."

Casey, you are a diehard slimeball and I hope you serve some real time.

But you probably won't post this because it might make YOU look bad - that's ok, I will make sure it is posted on every single other site that is bashing you."

Anyways, thankfully the clock is ticking on this waste of human space.

Hi Robert,

I just want to say thanks for allowing us to discuss Casey without moderation. Also, I don't have a problem with you making any money beyond recouping the domain fee. It sound to me like you are in a much better financial position than Casey (aren't we all?), but you could always send some money to charity.

Or get a Jamba Juice, your call.

But if the money really starts pouring in, I hope you will fly us all out to Casey's New Mexico house so we can take him up on that party offer. What would he do if we trashed the place? Hehe.

Anonymous said...

@GustaviaTexas

Love the flowchart! I was tracing through it and I got stuck in a 'Get a Jamba Juice', '$35 overdraft fee', 'Take nap' infinite loop. Pretty accurate! LOL

Anonymous said...

Robert,

Please don't pull the ad revenue. We're going to need it once Casey inevitably files bankruptcy (whenever that may be). As I said before, I'm monitoring for that week by week. Once Casey files bankruptcy, we're going to need a few "dirty pennies" to access his bankruptcy docket online. The court usually charges $.08 per page pulled. If you can pull these documents and post them on your site, I can commentate. This way, even if IAFF goes down, we can still have some idea of what's happening - the fun can live on. Now does that sound like a sweet deal or what? Win-win!

Anonymous said...

I'm happy to pull the docs from pacer and provide them for posting. I've done it for other cases and am happy to donate the time so they're available online.

Backstage, Mel, GustaviaTexas, CoCo, BK Boy, Esq., et al.

Thanks for the kind words and suggestions. The point about keeping the ads so as not to be like Casey is a good one. The flowchart is classic. The idea of a Casey Serin Hiring Investigation Team fund is a good one. This C-SHIT charity could probably get tax free status, sweeet.

Remember, if you suspect your post is gonna get pulled or it looks like he's gone into another long down period of not moderating at all; post here in the latest Casey indexed post. And on that note I'm open to suggestions as to where and how to host caseyserin.info Right now it redirects to the blog but perhaps a homepage with index and forums is a better format? Ideas?

If you add forums, please consider using either Beehive ( http://beehiveforum.sourceforge.net/about.html ) or Webvelosix ( http://www.webvelosix.com/download.php )

Both are free and offer a Delphi-style forum look-and-feel as opposed to the inferior phpBB style forum.

I vote "yes" on the forums. Keep advertising in place to cover your costs, but maybe give your overages to Habitat for Humanity or a credit counseling service, in Casey's name of course.

Will you call it Uncle Cote's sandbox?

The Dawg Days for market observations.
The Dawg Pound for realtors and agents that don't get it like John Lockwood and Greg Swann.
Dawg Fud for delicious tidbits people want to share.
The Dawg Run
Dun Dawggone for reporting MBS closures, agency consolidations, etc
The Big Dawgs for everything Casey and eventually David Crisp and other spectacular personal disasters.

That little piece of scammer trash edited out my message! He's posting them now, but he took out Nouveau Riche U and put in [...] instead.

I just posted this, let's see if he posts it:

Casey what are you trying to hide? Why edit my post? I posted that scam university you like to plug for money and you edit it out?

Why? What are you hiding?

Not posting this message will prove you are hiding something and don't think I won't post it at Robert's board or elsewhere so it gets people asking.

ANSWER THE FREAKING QUESTION DARN IT! LOL, you are a dummy aren't you? Did you not notice I intentionally inserted said university INTO that post to see what you'd do?

If you hate the heat, get out of the kitchen, you wannabe.

Little creep. He just proved he is involved in this crap or why edit that out?

Reading this Casey? You are a liar and a scam artist, sir and I now on to you hotter than ever.

Shoot, I'll help donate to the pacer fund if we can put the nail in his proverbial financial coffin.

The kid is ripping people off, it's very clear. He just isn't very good at it, so I wonder just how much he has left over from all the cash back loans.

I may know a way to save Casey! Have his little wifey submit pictures to the nudie mags. They like petite little gals with curves like her.

Let's all suggest it! I hear they pay buttloads of cash for the right girls.

Love this site.

Just wanted to jump in and point out that there's probably plenty of civil servants who're following CS's story for amusement, not professional reasons. Don't assume that just because he's getting traffic from various .gov sites, it necessarily means an indictment is being queued up. That's only one possible outcome.

After all, a truly savvy investigator would not want to tip off the target that they're being observed. This could easily be avoided by surfing through a proxy.

Looks like Casey removed all references to Amy the real estate lady.

No - Amy's name and a live URL still in first paragraph:

I hired my awesome realtor Amy Coleman to do the short sale on Burdett property because she has been doing such a great job with Larchmont.

Her photo no longer appears, but clicking on the box where it was takes you to her site (which includes photo).

Wow, great info here. I've been convinced CS is a total criminal from day one - just not a very good one. He's pathalogically bent on never working a day of his life. He's a criminal, period. He's lazy enough to turn to white collar long-con scams to avoid any real work - he got a taste of it, found out he would'nt be a web millionaire in a year, he quit. He's not a programmer, he dabbled in Unix for a bit, just enough for a quasi/company-charity to hire him.

No, I think he's just crafty and immoral enough to try a huge scam like buying all these houses and laundering the cash back, but he's stupid, naive, and lazy enough to not cover his tracks, and do it wrong. I woul'dnt be surprised if the moron has the cash sitting in a checking account at Citibank. based on advice from that meathead Chris. Don't get me started on that guy - he creeps you out? Not me, I've run into people just like him in CA for a long time. He's a meathead half-assed thief who WILL get caught, he's too stupid not to. He thinks he's all tough and slick, but he's a pussy, I guarantee you if he's hauled before a judge he'll blubber like a baby.

As for Casey, he'll get caught. He thinks he's ready for the long-con, but you have to be smart, hard working, and very, very on top of things to pull those off. Casey does the bare minimum. I think the blog was to achieve A. free money through clicks, B. free advice to try and get himself out of hot water, because his con blew up on him, and C. try and establish "evidence" that he'll use in a last ditch attempt to save his ass. I think he'll sumit MUCH different paperwork to a BK judge than he posted. My gut feeeling is these personal loans don't exist or are fraudulent to try and launder the cash back from the houses, and he's trying to establish an ID of a young, spendy kid who blew through 300K in a year. He may have been stupid enough to put it somewhere that he's terrified to touch now, or he got ripped off by a Chris type of investment scam, and got left with houses he could'nt sell and mortgages that he owes.

I mean, he went to cashcall to rehab a house - and promptly stiffed them. What kind of person does that? Someone desperate, broke, and not thinking straight, not someone smart enough to squirrel the money away. I think if he had those coffee cans, he'd be long gone already. He's just too stupid to leave.

As for Galina, nude pics? I would'nt pay, she's fairly plain looking, has an average at best figure, and just looks really, really young. People ask what she does all day? What do other young 20-somethings do all day? Sleep, hang out with their friends, play video games, shop, and waste time on the internet. I have no problem believing that she does just that. Oh, she dabbles in school, but CPA was a pipedream she pulled out when having dinner with the family, she's probably still taking her prereqs in junior college, like english and history. Only a kid would accept the financial hell he put them in, and demand that her credit stay good. She's had a great time - she married a cute (I guess, can't see it myself) blond who had all kinds of money and a great lifestyle where he was around and could stay up late and party and take her to hawaii and she could play rehab contractor, and travel and go to conferences and all - of course she's sticking around for a while, she has'nt realized the good times are over. She's a Carmella Soprano - she may not knwo the details of what crimes her husband commits, but she's first in line to enjoy the profits, and doesnt ask any uncomfortable questions.

This could make a fascinating book, a tale of a thief who wa'nt very good, and entertained thousands trying to scam everyone. It would be a great comedy!

Hi.

I've gotten into an email correspondence w/ Casey after he responded via email to one of my comments (he didn't let it).

He's made it clear that he's completely fallen into the NRU MLM scheme:

"[T]he guy who I work for is paying me a monthly fee to help him with computer stuff and also with his NRU marketing."

Choice:

"I've done MLM-like things in the past and I got a bad taste from it. What I do like about the way NRU implements it is that they have just ONE tier. "

Uh yeah.

Tier 1: Some guy in Pheonix
Tier 2: Chris
Tier 3: Casey

One tier, huh? (LOL!)

Over in another post, someone mentioned that the caseyserin.com domain was registered to Chris. That is kinda spooky ... is Chris the devil and owns a bit of Casey now? What about the ladies in Phoenix, where is their cut?

Chris' contact address is an apartment complex, despite it indicating it is a suite.

...and finally, did anyone catch the Casey Financial Flowchart that someone posted in his thread. Very funny:

Please do keep the Adsense around. There's lots of fun research projects possible with a little money + PACER + LexisNexis. And you could always donate the leftovers to a charity of your choice.

(PS - Future babuschka or not, Galina is much more attractive than "cute" Amy. That realtor picture radiates sketchiness and makes my astridSense go all twitchy.)

Looks like Casey removed all references to Amy the real estate lady."

I wonder if it has anything to do with the two emails someone sent amy (somebody spank me, I'm outta):

1. "Amy:

I am a broker who has been following the "I am Facing Foreclosure" blog for a while and I
have to ask you why in the world you advised your client Casey Serin to sign the $50,000
PERSONAL note in favor of Countrywide??? Did you suggest that he speak with an attorney
before advising him (his words, according to his blog) to execute the note? I fear you
have put your own interests of collecting a commission on a sale in front of the financial
well being of this inexperienced and clearly deluded young man. There are many attorneys
and real estate professionals who follow his blog, and I know several of us question the
ethics behind your advice and the legality of providing legal advice without being an
attorney. You should really read his blog because you are now implicated in his criminal
activity (openly admitted liar loans, etc.). You may have compromised your good name and
I think you need to act quickly to protect yourself to the best of your ability because
Mr. Serin has proven time and again that he uses people in order to benefit himself.

Please be aware that any response to this may be posted on various blogs in the interest
of documenting this incident. This incident will be reported to the DRE sooner or later -
PROTECT YOURSELF!"

2. Amy:

You REALLY need to look out for yourself. Below is a direct quote from Mr. Serin posted
tonight on his blog (here's the link -
http://iamfacingforeclosure.com/135/avoiding-foreclosure-via-short-sale-andor-fo
r-sale-by-owner/).
Keep in mind, this is being read by tens of thousands of people (by the way, nice
picture). As stated in my previous email to you, Mr. Serin only cares about himself, and
it appears you are his latest pawn. Do you agree with his statement that you "talked him
into" signing that note? I'm pretty sure that's probably not how you remember it or how
it happened, but that sure is how he is representing it. He has already lined you up to
take the fall for any negative consequences of signing the note. Trust me, his statements
of making an informed decision are not sufficient to absolve you from liability- he may
think so, but as he has proved time and again, he is ignorant of the law and common sense.

Be very careful of the legal consequences of associating with this self-admitted criminal.
All of us in the real estate community need to warn all real estate professionals dealing
with Mr. Serin to watch out for themselves. Again, any response to this email may be
posted to blogs to document his relationship with you.

"As for Amy talking me into signing the 50K note. Of course she is looking out for her
interests and wants to make that commission. She is not doing this for charity you know.
However, she let me see the note and gave me plenty of opportunity to consider the
decision and get any 3rd party advice. She doesn’t know all the implications of the note,
she is just a realtor. So the decision to sign the note was my own responsibility and I
take full credit (or blame) for it."

Is it me, or have things gotten VERY gnarly for Casey as of late. Whereas before people would wait for a comment, bitch and moan to Casey and banter back and forth, NOW, it's totally different.

Casey has sporadically posted, then laid back in the cut. In the meantime, his audience has actively pursued attacking him and trying to bring him down forcing him to hunker down and play defense. Interesting.

I wonder if he's able to identify any of his posters via his blog or on here. If he can, surely, he'll retaliate since he has nothing to lose. Plus, if he does nothing to stop this, he's going to get bodyslammed over and over and over until his creditors or the law force him to tap-out.

Being somebody who chases down copyright violators, I can say that all Casey can see is my IP address. THEN he can trace that address to the exact city the server used is in. So basically he knows I am in Los Angeles.

Who I am and exactly where I am is something he won't find out without a subpoena. If he loads a virus on our computers, he's risking serious backlash.

Backstage -- I'm confused as you and I appear to be seeing different things.

I refreshed the page using IE and also did a new visit from another computer using Firefox. I still see Amy Coleman's name and a live URL in the first paragraph.

@ Dolph

Thanks for the insight. I got my visible IP from the GRC site above, then did a whois on my ip. Turns out the only cities associated with the IP are in a different state (probably carrier's HQ). I'll make sure I don't turn off my "soft" firewall when I post to casey (I can't post unless I turn it off). Good stuff to know regardless. Thanks for the input!

Any guesses where Casey is? Is he deep in the depths of another bipoloar depression cycle. If so, that last manic cycle passed quickly. I wonder what happened to the Countrywide note? Shortsale packages?

Is he just taking a long, long nap and catching up on all the sleep he lost during those all nighters? Any guesses?

Rob Dawg said...

A dozen comments just dissapeared from the latest thread. Casey must be awake again. I expected this as his last flurry of posts and replies were sure to burn out the mania phase. The 19th was also the last day to save one of the houses. No miracle so Casey was sure to spiral in if only for that.

Boring. Watching a weasel in his element is boring. Now watching a weasel in traffic, that's entertainment.

Anonymous said...

Which comments disappeared, and how did you notice? The comment count hasn't changed, though I don't have the patience to page through and see if individual ones have disappeared or are empty.

~2 weeks ago I ran a web site copier on his site to try doing a diff down the road ... I was interested to know if he would try modifying any of his prior posts if he ever took seriously the advice that he shouldn't be posting to begin with. Now that he has added the comment numbers, it'll be a big hassle to diff them, but I'll give it a try at some point.

I'm sure some elements of law enforcement have already done so. There need to be processes in place to ensure web content can be treated as evidence (I can't imagine cached content on Google is worth a whole lot), so grabbing the content early and often probably happened.

I've talked to a few people who have known Casey over the years and although they say he is "drug free" and can't figure out what his deal is beyond being addicted to MLM schemes, I question whether he uses drugs. My guess would be meth. Look at his posts. On the latest post, he starts around 8 pm on one night and goes through all the way to like noon the next day without pause except for a gap of 7 hours or so between 3:30am and 10:00am. I have a hard time believing he was sleeping during that time. More likely, he was tweaking out reading some guru crap or surfing the net devising his next response to critics. That would explain these long gaps. Someone who is a meth addict (aka "tweaker") will often stay up for days on end only to crash at the end of each kick again for days at a time. Couple days up, couple days sleeping.

Any thoughts?

Anonymous said...

Backstage - I now see the 'non-Amy' version. As you suggested, must have been an ISP cache issue.

Hey, do you guys think Casey's stuck a virus on his blog? Several people have commented about it and I'm wondering if it might be true since I've also been having some computer problems lately.

Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Meth addict? The fuck ever. No money, and he couldn't hide it from his wife or her family (remember, they live with the inlaws). He's every bit the goody-goody he portrays himself to be (except for the fraud). Some people are night owls and without a regular job you can develop very odd sleeping patterns.

Casey's deal, as I've finally figured out, is that he is in love with operating get rich quick schemes and not even that concerned with the riches he would get quickly. If some rich uncle is Uzbekistan died and left him just enough money to pay all his current debts AND a trust fund of $5000/mo, Casey would STILL start running some schemes of one type or other, just be "in the game".

Casey,
Have you ever played the game ‘mad libs’ when you were a kid in this country? I propose we make a version called ‘CaseyMad Libs’ for the commenters here:
Example: I’m not a (blank A) but I think that Casey (blank B)
Options for Blank A: doctor, psychiatrist, real estate agent, real estate speculator, RK fan, prison inmate, member of the FBI, programmer, real blogger, smart guy, lawyer, licensed attorney.
Options for Blank B: needs to do some hard time, has ADD, might be suffering from Bipolar disorder, can’t use a corporation to fund a personal loan, has committed fraud, is one sexy guy, can really fill out that blue ball, shouldn’t take on more debt, is making good progress at getting his life back, is really a marketing scam, should go back to Uzbekistan, is not a good a PHP programmer.
See we could do a few of these for some great entertainment.

One other thing, all of these anonymous folks are rather confusing, so I’d like to make a suggestion: pick a name any name.

Hi Robert:

I notice on Casey's site reference to RES-COM - what is this and how is Casey involved?

Anonymous said...

I also noticed the CSV post (#266) had been deleted. I posted and asked Casey why.

Here's the deleted post:

I just have to jump in here and address the Casey Serin Viewpoint (CSV) since he’s clearly inept at defending it (which is by design, since that fits the CSV).

In order to argue things from the CSV, I’ll have to define some terms:

“Losers”: The bitter renters, cubicle drones, and middle-class-as-working-poor who are only a tenth as smart as the Casey Serins of the world, who well know that you can jump from style to fad to specuvestment and keep ahead of the wave of lesser men who fall into bankruptcy.

“Bankruptcy”: An admission of failure. The CSV says that “there is no failure”; hence, bankruptcy is simply impossible.

“Due Diligence”: Buy immediately.

“Life”: The act of buying and selling real estate at great profits.

“Winner”: Someone who is doing exactly what Casey is doing.

Now, onto the so-called advice points which have been given by the losers to Casey Serin:

1. FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY: No, Casey can’t do that since the CSV says bankruptcy is for losers. Losers lose. Casey is a winner. Just ask him (and his seminar hosts). Smart guys figure out how to stay one (or one-half) step ahead of bankruptcy, and if you ask Casey, I’m sure he’d tell you that he’s one very smart guy (as all the seminar hosts have told him over and over and over and over and over).

2. CONSULT ATTORNEYS: No, Casey can’t do that since the CSV says attorneys are losers, and losers don’t understand anything about life. However, some attorneys have come to understand about life, by ditching their loser profession and living life like Casey. In those cases, they are doing essentially what Casey is doing now; hence, no consultation is needed there, either.

3. AVOID CONSUMERISM: No, Casey can’t do that since the CSV says winners indulge in unfathomable rituals involving Jamba Juice that the losers (by definition) cannot understand. When you stop consuming like that, you become one of the losers. Losers drink water, milk and maybe some soda. The esoteric — perhaps even mystic — ingredients of the Jamba Juice (with a wheat shot) are what supercharge the winner brain, like sapho juice did for Mentats in Frank Herbert’s “Dune” series. Remember this from the movie? — “It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.” Like all winners, Casey is undoubtedly a Mentat.

4. TELL [somebody] EVERYTHING: No, Casey can’t do that since the CSV says exposing yourself entirely is what a loser would do. Winners retain exclusive information since they are so privileged by their vast intelligence. Would YOU give away your winning strategy? Yes, you would, if you were a loser. Since Casey is a winner he sensibly keeps various and crucial details to himself. Very cagey, that Casey!

5. GET A JOB: No, Casey can’t do that since the CSV says jobs are for losers. Winners are naturally wealthy and make money merely by respirating, often peformed on a podium in front of an audience of losers who are looking (dimly) to become winners.

6. FIX/RENT PROPERTIES: No, Casey can’t do any of that nonsense since the CSV says that any effort on his part threatens to place him into the ranks of the losers. Winners — by definition — are part of a winning set of methods, times and properties, and success just comes naturally to such people. There’s no need to fix perfection, since perfection will sell, sell, sell! And RENT! — woooo, boy, let me tell you about renting: renters are one of the sets of losers. You don’t want to interact with losers; you want to interact with other winners instead. In Casey’s situation, all those homes have to be sold, not rented for an instant (at least, while on Casey’s balance sheet). It’s just another step on the continual wealth production line for a winner.

SOOOOO … it’s really time for you losers to deal with your bad positions and to realize the inherent greatness of the Casey Serin Viewpoint. Accept the CSV’s great truths; think on them, and grow rich!

Your comment is awaiting moderation by the blog owner. (Typically takes 12-48 hours).

Wonder what Casey's up to? No action on his "able buyer" site.

I don't know though, I gave up on trying to get a comment through a while back. Maybe he's changed how the process works?

The benefit of Casey declaring bankruptcy is to us not him. He doesn't care if he drowns in 6 inches or 6 miles of water. He probably thinks he is delaying charges while many think he is accruing additional charges.

By now his blog must have 400+ comments in moderation. Past the point of usefulness. I'm not going to go back unless somebody points out something worthwhile.

A shout out to Astrid, hey! You'll be pleased to know that since carrying ads I've paid for the purchase of caseyserin.info (just barely). My only concern is that it's too much like money for nothing like our Young Casey. I'll get over it.

Thanks to everyone and keep up the good work too many excellent... err. sweeet contributions to mention.

This is the other post Casey deleted in going from 264 to 266:

#200 Spacman Spiff
January 19th, 2007 at 3:18 pm Sorry about the delay, I’ve been having trouble with my Freem drive out by planet Zok. It’s fixed now so I can now focus my energy on the evil mom-girl with the devil Eye-Ray.
Wow, your realtor is HOT. I’ll be she wants to close the deal (no, not “close the deal”) is because she leased her car but bought her boobs.
You can easily turn a car back in when you can’t afford it, but when it’s your boobs, that a bill a girl has just gotta pay.
As far as those realtor’s chiming in saying the market has bottomed and is now on the way back up sounds a lot like the stock guy in 2001 when we’d have 2 up days in the market and they’d loudly proclaim that the bear was dead!
Oh well, just get a nice look at Amy’s rack while she’s still around.
Gotta go find Hobbes so we can have a meeting of GROSS (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS). Yikes! There’s Suzy Derkins!
Gotta go.

Man...would I like to have been in on the conversation between Casey and Amy after she read her emails yesterday. (Thanks for the great interpretation, Back Stage)

Any posts from anyone reading here that has spoken to any law enforcement regarding IAFF would be great. I am anxious to know if he is even being investigated at this point by anyone. (THE FANS excluded)

I am ready for the "I Spent the Night in County" post. (Hope he has pics with THAT one)

Thanks for all the info you guys, and keep it coming.

Also Mel...thanks for posting his letter to you. VERY interesting.

I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but it's not that I want Casey to file BK -- it's that I don't see how he's going to be able to avoid it. And if it is unavoidable, you might as well bite the bullet and do it, so that you can start rebuilding your life faster.

I'm thinking this is a critical week in the life of Casey. As of right now, Recon Trust (http://recontrust.com/default.asp - click on California, then on Stanislaus County) is showing Muncy set for a foreclosure sale this coming Tuesday at high noon. If it does not sell for at least the total of the 1st and 2nd loans, the lenders will be able to pinpoint their exact damages. I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that it would have been hard for lenders to go after Casey for fraud until now, since they haven't actually suffered damages. On the other hand, as soon as they take back a house at a loss, then I think they may be able to nail him.

Backstage-

I agree that there's no incentive to go BK now, before the RE goes in foreclosure/short sale.

That's why I don't see any incentive to filign BK _now_ - it would just focus unwanted attention on the RE deals.

BK more than 6 months past the date the last RE is gone, now that makes more sense.

I also don't see an incentive to pay at all on the unsecured debt.

Keep in mind unsecured means just that - the creditor has to jump through hoops to get a judgement, but then has to collect that judgement.

Which is why most unsecured creditors content themselves with harrassing you by phone/mail.

Were I Casey, I'd change my cellphone number.

It has been over 48 hours since the last comment approved. In a way, there's 'negative progress', because some comments have been removed in that time. Casey's desire to control the comments (to maintain his web of lies and fulfill his ego) will hurt his blog just as his lies and ego have hurt his financial future. As said above, with so many comments in the queue, it is too hard to track 'threads' and catch up when hundreds are released.

What a smarmy, audacious kid. http://tinyurl.com/2l8xpo

Waiting six months to file bankruptcy isn't going to do much. (I don't know where all of you guys are getting this "six months rule." I hear one person spout that off, and then suddenly everyone else seems to be parroting.) Casey will still have to reveal all of his sweet real estate deals in his bankruptcy papers. If you look at the Statement of Financial Affairs form, question 10a requires disclosure of all real property transfers within the last two years.

For those of you who want to get a head start on what Casey is going to have to disclose, I'm providing a link to the Official BK forms:

BK BOY

I like this part:

The court may revoke a chapter 7 discharge on the request of the trustee, a creditor, or the U.S. trustee if the discharge was obtained through fraud by the debtor, if the debtor acquired property that is property of the estate and knowingly and fraudulently failed to report the acquisition of such property or to surrender the property to the trustee, or if the debtor (without a satisfactory explanation) makes a material misstatement or fails to provide documents or other information in connection with an audit of the debtor's case. 11 U.S.C. § 727(d).

Bill in NC said...

Fine, make it 2 years so he can skip any RE deal disclosure.

I still see no reason for him to voluntarily file BK and call attention to himself.

Of course, those properties that are taken from him via trustee foreclosure won't be part of BK.

I've been on this site more since our little friend CS hasn't been moderating. When he does, I just don't have the time to read through 200-400 comments. I have to give kudos to Robert and the posters here for posting the interesting comments on this blog.

Is anyone going to attend the Muncy auction? If not, is there a way for us to find out the result that's not delayed for a few days/week?

Robert, is it possible to also include the date a comment is posted on your blog, instead of just listing the time? It's just easier to keep track of new posts when a date/time is attached.

Great blog, thanks for staying on top of the CS saga.

Burdett: Unfortunately I will be unable to take this listing. I just lost my assistant and can not take on another Short Sale Listing at this time, but I can refer you to some very competent agents that may be able to handle that project at this time.

In the interest if saving everyone the time, her is CS's latest rant-

January 22nd, 2007
Stopping Foreclosure, Short Sale and Promissory Note Update

Here is an update:

Larchmont: Approval letter states “1. Closing must take place no later than January 19, 2007 or this approval is void.” As you know, the previous buyer has decided not to move forward on this home. I have left messages for the account rep at Countrywide to call me to let me know if we can get an extension past this date on this approval letter. Once I hear either way I will let your know.

We did receive two offers which have been sent over to the bank. One for $145,000 and the other at $189,000 with a seller concession -approval was for $220,000. Did speak with Customer Service and no sale date has been set of yet.

As you know, the property is listed at the ‘rock bottom’ price that the lender will approve. Investors using shark-like tactics will continue to low-ball for offers coming in, and the only hope of saving this property at this time would be to get a serious buyer interested in home occupancy that is willing to pay what the bank is willing to accept, AND, at this point, that would only apply if the bank would grant an extension. I will continue to seek out qualified buyers, but you may have to brace yourself for the possibility of foreclosure if the bank decides your time has run out.

Burdett: Unfortunately I will be unable to take this listing. I just lost my assistant and can not take on another Short Sale Listing at this time, but I can refer you to some very competent agents that may be able to handle that project at this time.

Things are not looking so good for saving Larchmont from foreclosure and now I have to find a new realtor for Burdett who is experienced in short sales.

No news yet on stopping the Muncy property foreclosure but the realtor has submitted the offer and short sale packet to the bank and we’re waiting on the answer.

I will be calling on the New Mexico house and Utah wrap issues today to get some updates.

About the note…

I’ve been thinking about that $50,000 promissory note I signed for Larchmont short sale. Notice it says “Exibit B” on it and there is also the short sale approval letter which I received later. The short sale approval letter references the 50K note as part of the conditions.

My understanding is that the 50K promissory note is part of the short sale approval. That’s how it was presented to me in the first place. So if the short sale does not go through and the bank forecloses on the house I don’t see why I would still owe on that note.

I think I was starting to worry for no reason and bringing unnecessary drama upon myself. I’m going to take that note off my financial spreadsheet right now. Good… now I’m down to 176K in unsecured debt. That’s a little bit better.

Quick income update… I will be talking with Chris today or tomorrow about my consulting job situation because things have been a bit shaky. I’m also exploring having sponsorship for this website for some living expense money until I can settle my debts and get back into doing sweet deals.

Casey, how does it feel when the walls are crumbling down on you? He is being cast asise like a lepper by everyone he contacts. How long until G launches?

Here's the email I sent Amy a couple of days ago. I'll let myself believe that it helped her 'fire' Casey. :=)

Casey Serin is posting info about you I'd imagine you'd rather not have him do. Associating publicly with a scam artist like him can't be good for your reputation.

He did have your picture posted on his blog, where he called you "cute" - has since removed those, but the rest remains. Your picture and the word "cute" has generated a number of inappropriate postings from some of his audience.

You are also associated with twisting his arm to sign a $50K note with CW for a short sale, etc, etc...

Investors using shark-like tactics

Holy shit another Casey Classic. "Shark-like tactics" are how you make money in RE.

Burdett: Unfortunately I will be unable to take this listing. I just lost my assistant and can not take on another Short Sale Listing at this time, but I can refer you to some very competent agents that may be able to handle that project at this time.

Looks like he just cut&pasted his RE's email.

I will be talking with Chris today or tomorrow about my consulting job situation because things have been a bit shaky.

I didn't see THAT coming. As I wrote in my email to Casey:

"Chris gets you to go to NRU. You pay $15,000 (or whatever). He
pockets a $5,000 commission. He pays you something less than $5,000
for whatever bullshit he has you doing before he "runs out of work"
for you. Lets just say you earn $4,500 for the sake of argument.

Adding it all up:

Chris gets: $5000 - $4500 = $500 + a free website
Casey gets: $4,500 - $1,000 (est. taxes) - $15,000 = -$11,500

You got played, son."

Wow is all I can say at this point. Amy fired Casey? No SHIT! Just for reference, I am a Realtor and I wouldn't touch Casey with any length pole. I think it's gonna take Amy a while to wash herself of this whole thing. Still, I've never had to fire a prospect. I wish I could have heard that conversation!

Casey is fooked! Both properties are toast and there is NO facking way he is getting out of the note. Countrywise pwned his a$$.

Anonymous said...

LOL...Poor little Casey suffers from some kind of superiority complex or he's just delusional!

How is Amy his assistant? Was she fetching his coffee or something? Sorry, Casey, she was your PARTNER in doing this deal and he screwed the pooch.

Also, I believe it isn't the publicity that is making Chris not pay Casey. It's the fact Casey can't bring him the leads and business he most likely promised.

Casey's the classic con artist in approach but he has no idea how to hustle people. That can be a problem with people who have delusions of grandeur.

segfault said...

I'm not sure exactly how a BK proceeding works, but even if he waits two years, I see the following potential hurdle:

- Chapter 7 BK now requires proof that your income is below a certain threshold. I think that most judges would start asking questions when he lists his income as 0 and he explains that getting a job is too menial for him.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but is the consensus that, in California (and the other states where he purchased properties), a debtor isn't responsible for any deficiencies if the property is foreclosed on (unless the lender bothers to press the fraud issue)?

Anonymous said...

Well, Casey might be losing his "job" with Chris, but that's okay. He's going to make money with his blog. You know, the site he's stopped moderating, doesn't provide many worthwhile updates and is mostly read by people who actively dislike him. How could this possibly go wrong? I predict a few troll postings from Casey in the near future to drive up traffic numbers. Advertisers will be lining up to get on board with scam artist who doesn't live up to his promises and might be going to prison soon.

I won't be too difficult for Amy to wash the CS stench off. Sure, her name and reputation is toast for people that read this blog and IAFF, but unless the local media does a story on her, her clients (current and potential) are none the wiser. It was smart on her part to cut bait when she started receiving emails warning her of the truth surrounding CS.

Plus, her client base is primarily Del Paso/North Highlands are, not the best of areas in Sac. One flash of her pearly whites and the potential seller is hooked.

@bk boy, esq.
Can anyone explain how she is a Keller Williams realtor, running her own team (according to her site) when her license is being held by "South Hall Investors Inc"? Is this just a ficticious business name the brokerage uses?

Oh, the Larchmont property is still being listed as a Featured Property on Amy's site as of Monday AM.

Anonymous said...

Well, to answer my own question, South Hall Investors Inc appears to be the business name Amy's broker is using for the Keller Williams branch.

The real sign that Casey's story is spiralling down the drain will come when bottom feeders like Chris start distancing them from him. Based on Casey's hint, that may be sooner rather than later. It doesn't mean much when people like Amy who have a reputation to maintain drop him, but when people who most of us wouldn't associate with do it it's quite another matter.

Tomorrow's news possibilities:

* Chris is now going to pay me a commission from the sweet deals I bring him rather than salary
* Chris fired me
* Chris fired me after sleeping with my wife and stealing my blue ball
* Chris fired at me while driving by my house

Something which just occurred to me: Casey shows no fear of the consequences of his actions. It could just be an act, but... I'm not sure. A normal person would hedge their bets rather than plunging headfirst into a scam like his. Casey may be one of those rare people who is truly fearless. That would explain a great deal.

Fear is a good thing, as long as one isn't dominated by it. Fear is the body's way of saying "I wouldn't step out in front of that bus if I were you".

11 U.S.C. § 727(d) only comes into play if the court has already entered a discharge. You look to 11 U.S.C. § 727(a) in Chapter 7 cases to determine whether you can even get a discharge in the first place. The one I like is 11 U.S.C. § 727(a)(5): "The court shall grant the debtor a discharge, unless the debtor has failed to explain satisfactorily, before determination of denial of discharge under this paragraph, any loss of assets or deficiency of assets to meet the debtor's liabilities."

Chris Record is a classic rich kid n'eer do well layabout. Casey with wealthy parents. Anonymous said...

I think Casey is a typical 24 year old - he thinks he's invincible. The only difference is the "get rich quick" gurus got a hold of him, and he's a true believer. I had a friend from college who fell into the Amway trap, and despite everyone she knew, myself included, telling her it was a scam, she dove in head first. I watched her for over 10 years spend all of her money on seminars and books and tapes, all the while talking about the riches that were coming her way...I ended the freindship when i found out she'd been buying the products herself to make the points (of however they do it), and was getting engaged to a guy who was also up to his eyebrows in Amway. I just could'nt watch it anymore.

As for Casey, I know this: he's a coward. The ONLY reason he doesn't open his mail, or call his banks, or anyone else, is he's scared shitles of the consequences, and he is not adult enough to square his shoulders and face his consequences.

He's also incredibly niave - almost pathalogicially so. He's so bent on "falling forward into success" into "sweet deals", that he'll burn anyone to get there - his wife, his freinds, his family. I don't think Casey has ever really messed up before, and his parents probably coddled him too much and sheltered him from the world - nobody can get to 24 and NOT understand that lying on loan apps for more than 2 million dollars can get you into trouble.

Casey thinks he's slick. He's a wanna be con artist. He'll wink and nod at any shady deal, to enable him to not ever sully his hands actually working. The previous posters are right - Chris saw him coming a mile away, and has been playing him for a total sucker.

He's a total disgrace to his ancestors in the gypsy camps in eastern europe - they're spinning in their graves at his bumbling attempts to rip off the townsfolk.

The name of this community is "Nouveau Riche" which is French for the "New Rich".

Srsly. How can anyone be so dumb as to fall for this? And why the capital 'F' for french?*

I don't think casey is a con-man. Conning people is as far beyond casey's limited cranial machinery as is linear algebra. I think the answer is far clearer. Casey is just one of the world's all time simpletons. Greedy, yes. Lazy, yes. But con-man, no.

*I wonder why they chose french? Most american knuckle-dragging members of the sean hannity fan club (who are clearly the intended audience for this drivel) have an irrational hatred of all things french. Probably a moment of madness brought on by the fact that german equivalent - stinkreich - lacks the same euphony, thus shattering their ill founded belief that all things german are perfect. Like Vdubs. (And trust me, had you seen a german toilet, you'd know that many things in germany are far from perfect.)

HMMM...

I've heard CS described as fearless and a coward on this thread. I'm wondering if it's possible to be both.

He's clearly not afraid of jumping into things headlong if it's bright and shiny. He also thinks that the rules don't apply to him, that somehow he's different. Yet, he solicits the gurus for education, then disregards their advice.

He almost never plans, and when he does, they are always *big picture* kind of plans...nearly pointless in getting a real idea of whats going on. When things are darkest, he gets diverted from doing the hard work of cleaning up the mess he made.

Nope, CS is neither fearless or a coward. He's too lazy to plan enough to see how bad things can get. He's too shallow to think deeply about what he's doing. He's an optimist so it's all good. And he's ambitious to obtain wealth so that he think he needs.

A shallow, lazy, ambitious optimist. Now that's a recipe for disaster.

Casey wrote that his tuition to NR was gratis on the basis that he was to write about his experiences there, good or bad. Afterwards, he was coy and deleted references to the "school's" name. This - like so much else - doesn't pass the sniff test. And, maybe he feels he doesn't need to address major edits like removing his relator's name and picture in the previous thread because those issues are addresses on Robert's blog.

He has been setting the stage to blame his commentators (if at least partially) for failures. Does he blame the 'haters' for losing Google Adsense (even though several good, free abuse-avoidance tools are available)? Does he blame the 'haters' for "Rich Dad" (local and international) wanting to distance himself? And the cause of Amy dropping a listing? Casey writes the happen because of the 'negativity' on his blog. He is probably referring to the commentators but the source is no one other than himself

I, for one, fail to see why any legitimate company or individual would desire to be associated with a self-admitted felon.

It seriously raises the red flag about their own moral compass. If his latest sponsor knows the truth about Casey's criminal past and still chooses to pay him as a sponsor, then that sponsor IMHO is no better than Casey. If Casey has not fully disclosed to the sponsor concerning his past, then perhaps one of Robert's readers should send them an email outlining the facts surrounding Casey's past, starting at age 14.

Off topic, I assume that Chris *fired* Casey?

Nice blog Robert! Reading all these comments and the consensus is SerCasey is the laziest in blogdom. Apologies to the Coen brothers, who put it so much better...

"Way out west there was this fella I wanna tell ya about. Goes by the name of Casey Serin. At least that was the handle his loving parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. See, this Serin, he called himself "SerCasey". Now, "SerCasey" - there's a name no man would self-apply where I come from. But then there was a lot about the SerCasey that didn't make a whole lot of sense. And a lot about where he lived, likewise. But then again, maybe that's why I found the place so darned interestin'. See, they call Sacramento the "Sack of Tomatos," 'course I ain't never been to London, and I ain't never seen France. And I ain't never seen no queen in her damned undies, so the feller says. But I'll tell you what - after seeing Sacto, and this here story I'm about to unfold, well, I guess I seen somethin' every bit as stupefyin' as you'd seen in any of them other places. And in English (kind of), too. So I can die with a smile on my face, without feelin' like the good Lord gypped me. Now this here story I'm about to unfold took place in the mid '00s - just after the time of our final conflict with Sad'm and the I-raqis. I only mention it because sometimes there's a man... I won't say a hero, 'cause, what's a hero? Sometimes, there's a man. And I'm talkin' about SerCasey here - the Ser from Sacto. Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's SerCasey. SerCasey, from Sacramento by way of Uzbekistan (but that's another story altogether and I'm already 'loosing' my train of thought). And even if he's a lazy man - and SerCasey was most certainly that. Quite possibly the laziest in all of the five counties, which would place him high in the runnin' for laziest in California. Sometimes there's a man, sometimes, there's a man. Well, I lost my train of thought here. But... aw, hell. I've done introduced it enough."

Methinks a multi-thread blog could be done on the Casey Serin/Big Lewboski parallels.
