Worst and Worster

Watcha lookin' at Carl?

Visit the Bakersfield Californian for the answer.
Cole, now 61, had been convicted of a crime against nature for engaging in oral sex with an 18-year-old man by a Moore County, North Carolina jury In 1988, administrative hearing and criminal court records show.

Cole was the victim’s principal, and the incident took place in his office at Big Oak Christian School, according to hearing records.

Let's keep the replies subtle and mature. Personally I'm not going after the sexual nature but the power abuse. If this is what he did with his charges imagine what he does to his real estate clients here in Ventura County.

I wonder if there was anything going on between these two, I heard rumors around town, but... I was very shocked to read about this.

I am trying to find out how the reporters found out - my guess one either David or Carls' wives.

In retrospect lots of things make sense now. I'm not interested in the details just watching the sad final scenes before the credits roll.

Looks like Carl and I share something in common -- and I'm not talking about the rampant mortgage fraud we both committed!! ;-)

"Cole was accused of sexual activities involving students and resigned after criminal charges were filed, according to a newspaper article published at the case’s conclusion . . . "

Wow. Not surprisingly, this appears to be a pattern of behavior--and he appears to be extremely lucky that none of the underage students pressed charges. And abusing a position of trust, no less. While I've had my questions about the Constitutionality of registering sex offenders, I would think that this is just the sort of person the local community would want to be aware of.

"Cole’s former partner, David Crisp, 28 . . . "

O.O

Along the lines of your request to keep it mature, let's just say that I'm not sure things could get much worse for David Crisp's wife. Maybe someone should pass Casey's ex-wife's number on to her, she could use some support . . .

"'We are a country of second chances,' Pool said."

And that's a good thing. Unfortunately, I think we're looking at someone who has blown his second (third? fourth?) chance.

My ex-wife has made a living out of other people supporting her. Me. Her parents. Duane. And so on... the only thing she knows how to support is the toilet lid, while she's scrubbing the bowl. :-D

BTW, if they pass a measure banning sex offenders from working in real estate, they could call it:

"Cole's Law" ;-)

Merrill unloads "toxic" mortgage-backed bonds, at a nearly 80% loss:

"Merrill...will liquidate $30.6 billion of bonds at a fifth of their face value to shore up credit ratings imperiled by mortgage losses."

"Dumping the assets for just 22 cents on the dollar will result in a write-down of $5.7 billion.

That is an ominous sign for other Wall Street firms and commercial banks trying to get rid of loans and securities in a market flooded with distressed assets."
