Keep Calm and Carry... Your Beer

Fleeing the London attack.  The four guys in the second row are Americans from Folsom, CA.  The bloke in front with his beer is a Brit.  We need to "get used to it."

The bravest guys stayed behind and "guarded" everyone else's beer.

I don't think so. H I w long to these social movements last? Apparently in my granddad's time it was anarchists, who he hated, said my mom.

Lawyerliz said...

How long do.

Good afternoon!

Quick overnight stay at the Rosebud Indian casino in SD. Had fun and helped pay the mortgage on their Teepee!.

Get used to it? Don't think so.

Maybe those guys were running out on their tab..

Liz,

Ibn Hisham puts Muhammad's birthdate at 569 AD, so quite a long time. You should get fitted for a niqab and a burkhini if you're a swimmer. Islam is feminism. If you are not too old, you can still potentially be given to a rich sheikh.

Lawyerliz said...

Hahaha.
I'm back in the Florida Alps.

Lawyerliz said...

Too old, alas-not!!!

Lawyerliz said...

I don't think I wanna know what a Burkini is.

It's got plenty of sun protection

Florida alps - you learn something new everyday. Those must be like waves in AZ where they filmed the opening scenes of "The North Shore." I have seen videos of Floridians celebrating Ashura: cutting their foreheads and the whole nine yards. Hopefully you're high in the Florida alps.

I'm sure this needs no repeating to anyone here, Liz, but when it comes to your defense against the savages, Western men will be as valiant as the ones in Rob Dawg's picture. See the adequately-muscled guy in the purple fleeing ahead of all those women behind him who he hopes will be stabbed first? It's kind of like fleeing a bear with your friend: you don't have to outrun the bear, you only have to outrun your friend.

I live in the mountains of Central America or the hills along the Platte valley in Nebraska. :)

It was a former poster who invented that. I do live on a 7 inch hill.

Anybody have an experience with uber.
I had a bad one at the Orlando airport. They went to the wrong terminal. Gps failed them I suppose. Used a taxi
.
Shooting on Orlando, but it was a "normal" workplace disgruntled employee sort of thing.

Lawyerliz said...

My son and dil use uber all the time.

LBD said...

Good Morning!

No Uber here but a lot of utters. =:0

I was thinking about using Uber for an upcoming vacation (instead of renting a car) but after paying for a hotel shuttle (didn't those used to be free?) and then using Uber for side trips (avg $20 per trip..each way..as far as I can tell)..I think renting a car will be cheaper (and more convenient).

Rob Dawg said...

I'm tempted to start a "things that used to be free" thread.

No vans between Orlando and Merritt islancr. Only uber and taxi. I have a feeling taxi and uber would have cost about the same. Uber came to the wrong place. Close to a nightmare. Taxi was pleasant. Nice Hatian guy. We discussed Haiti's problems and he criticized uber as too expensive.

ha ha..that would be a good one

The Baltimore Museum of art used to be free.
How about places you used to just be able to walk in.

Rob Dawg said...

Keep in mind Uber loses money at their current rates.

I'll throw in the mandatory "resort fee"..which I guess let's you use the pool

Rob Dawg said...

To their credit California passed a law making it illegal for gas stations to sell air.

Unknown said...

Next up for hotels will be a mandatory "room cleaning" charge...

Unknown said...

The people who used to run hospitals must be branching into hotels...I see similarities in their business models

I just love the add on fees. From my latest car rental at Dulles Airport in Virginia -

Va Rental Tax (4.00%) $5.09
Airport Concession Fee Recovery (11.11%) $14.14
Va Rental Fee (2.00%) $2.55
Va Additional Tax (4.00%) $5.09
Veh License Fee Recovery .15/day ($0.15 / Day) $0.45

Fess are not taxes are they?

They should add Valet fee to cover health insurance cost. LOL?

Lawyerliz said...

No bedbugs or filth either. Bedbugs are not a Florida problem for some reason.

Lawyerliz said...

Fee for removal of sex liquid remains everywhere. Yuck.
