Meet Cyclops the Snout House

219 Paseo Loma 93010

I will come as no surprise that this sweet thing was constructed in 1999.  Description with translation follows:

Charming 3 bedroom 2.5 bath detached home located in the Kaufman Broad Tract in the Southern area of Central Camarillo.

Tiny mass produced infill project in a less desirable part of town.

This light & bright home has an open floor plan and is tastefully & newly remodeled to include: New laminate flooring on entire 1st floor, new carpet upstairs, new bathroom flooring, new stainless appliances, new neutral interior paint, new light fixtures & more. Upstairs loft can be used as an office, media room, or can be turned into a 4th bedroom.

After 16 years the place was entirely worn out.  Typical of the construction era.

Laundry room conveniently located on 2nd floor.  Master en suite includes a large luxury tub, private toilet closet & large walk-in closet. Backyard includes a lovely patio area and generous side yard.

The garage is tiny and there is no room for even a bicycle in the "driveway."

Security System & HVAC. Amenities include a community pool & spa, park & RV parking.

Zero lot line, no yard, HOA $135/mo

Walking distance to Old Town.

Wrong side of the freeway.

How much?

Rob Dawg said...

$518,000 plus the $135 HOA. Taxes likely $6000/yr.

Lawyerliz said...

That's crazy. For that much here, oh, never mind.

Rob Dawg said...

Oh no. Please. Continue. Want to do a guest post?

Yes. But not for a couple of days. 16 straight days of rain.

Lawyerliz said...

It's 75° here. But I came in because the mosquitoes started chomping on me.

Rob Dawg said...

We are having a heat wave too. 75° here as well. The killer is the crushing RH of 42%. Brutal Mother Nature.

Lawyerliz said...

House up 300$. Really soon it will be worth what I think it's worth.

Lawyerliz said...

In dry Champaign, my lips started to get chapped. Never happens here.

Lawyerliz said...

How much would it go up if i told them I had an additional half bath?

Cinco-X said...

Did Mike ever come back?

Lawyerliz said...

What is your mosquito situation. I'm begonna ng to see more bees and flutterbies

Rob Dawg said...

Dawghaus -$400/day currently. :(

Half bath might add $8-12k. The fewer you have the greater the increment.

Lawyerliz said...

Minus??

Rob Dawg said...

We are being inundated with mosquitoes. I see sometimes two, even three a day.

I'm going to have to add extensions to my tomato trellises. Above the top crossbar and running out of string.

Rob Dawg said...

Yes houses apparently go down.

Last 30 Day Change
-$13,244

Listing at their guess would trigger a bidding war.

Lawyerliz said...

Luckily. It's all imaginary money.

Lawyerliz said...

I'm sure they are not including your excellent tomatoes.

Rob Dawg said...

Imaginary money for me perhaps but real money for my heirs.

Hope the tomatoes survive our vacation next week. So poor we are driving to ... wait for it ... Park City, Utah. In June. I mean how low class is that?

We have grand nieces who will come by and play with the kittehs and water but you never know.

Lawyerliz said...

You may come back to twice as many kittehs.

Lawyerliz said...

I hope they feed 'em too.

G'morning Liz...I gotta get up and get to work now... We can't all be retired

Lawyerliz said...

Good morning.😀
Poor X.

Lawyerliz said...

The sky is blue, not grumpy grey. Could the temp be ok too?

Lawyerliz said...

The gloddess has blessed us. 72°!!

Lawyerliz said...

72° The gloddess has blessed us.
Take that that Kalifornians.

Lawyerliz said...

Well, out to garden.

LBD said...

Good Morning!

Retirement is tough, somebody has to do it!

Rob Dawg said...

Youngest graduates today. Busy busy. 15lbs of tri tip to BBQ after. I'd post pics of the garden but only be accused of photoshop editing.

Lots of profit taking in the markets. My profits are what are being taken unfortunately. Tough to stay long when quick profit beckons. Ford might pop on European sales. We shall see.

Great...now all we have to do is wait for the folks in the Far East to make them economically.

LBD said...

I was told by an inventor that solar would never become effective in my life time. Still looks like it true. IMO

The sawgrass is nearly all gone. I am beginning to conclude regular grass is worse Z q+_0_¥56_______5$5th

Lawyerliz said...

The corn meal and fire ants thing did work. Ir just took 3 or 4 weeks.

Rob Dawg said...

If I were building from scratch on the hillsides around here I would not bother tying to the grid. Solar electric. Solar pool heating. Heat pump and a propane tank for the 5% demand peaks and cooking. A purist could go all solar + batteries.

Rob Dawg said...

Those new solar screen cells are "Bi-enhanced." No wonder everyone is so excited.

Actually great "progress" that looks close to a "leap."

Lawyerliz said...

Ssshhhhhhh, the turtle is out and eating grass about 12 feet from the burrow.

LBD said...

Good hobby for some, not me.

Lawyerliz said...

Turtles aren't my hobby,.they just exist on their own
I watch them.
Gardening is my hobby. The flowers are quite impressive. The weeds are half under control.

Lawyerliz said...

I tidied up for the maid on Wedensday. People coming over today. Took me almost as long to tidy up today

Conclusion. Takes me only one day to junk up the place

Rob Dawg said...

It takes you an ENTIRE day?! For me messes are like wakes behind a freighter.

We have to much stuff.

I have too much junk.

I need to read some of those clutter and time management books.

Enough negativity. Getting rid of the last kid within the month (sniff). I will post a picture of the new LED Edison lights that illuminate the yard. Vacation in three days. Is 115°F a lot?

Asking for a friend; How many extra• sets of golf clubs are too many?

• "extra" meaning beyond the playing set, backup set, travel bag, rock clubs and of course the bag of putters and bag of short sticks. ;)

Rob Dawg said...

New post. Hope I have enough in the que to keep posting through vacation.

Lawyerliz said...

Too many.
