- Marin County, California, in the San Francisco metro area
- Kings County (Brooklyn)
- Santa Cruz County, California
- Summit County, Utah (this is where Park City is)
- Monroe County, Florida, in the Key West metro area
Speaking from experience, Park City is on a different Planet.

Gee, I like Key West. Didn't know it was that expensive.
Ratio of median price to median income. I suspect the Keys are low income residents.
Dawghaus -$970/day. 🏦
Quote a few. Trailers are all some can afford, and they are expensive. Really no more residents is a a good thing. 5 years ago, you couldn't evacuate the Keys.
Lizhaus up over 200$, after being steady for a few days.
Morning all... Gotta go out and get ready for a week of rock wall building. The mini excavator should arrive tomorrow morning about 10 AM EDT
I just want a big rock to put in the yard. Rocks are few and fAR between here.
The last thing I look for on CR is Thursday unemployment claims. Not there.
It's up. A lot.
Will Trump say it is fake news?
Back to legal pot. The little guys have to do every thing in cash, cause the banks are scared to deal with them. (How do they pay taxes?) A big deal chain maybe has the clout to do that, while taking biz away from the little guys.
MJ is too easy. Hops easy. Tomato easy. In a couple years the only profitable aspects will be selling DIY tools like rollers or shredders and seeds.
You mean to grow? I mean to deposit the money in the bank and pay salaries
My point is that as an industry the margins are going to erode to nothing. It won't matter if you don't take credit cards when neighbors have so much they leave "lids" on your doorstep with squash and cucumbers.
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Well I guess the pot drug lords will have to do something else.
Craft beer and distilling. The government has alcohol sewn down tight. The mob and regulation will be great friends like in waste disposal.
I still want to know what Cali is doing wit all that tax money.
Florida's Gov crazy Eye signed a bill that allows anybody to question, Any teaching in any textbook, with a hearing to follow. Like evolution, I guess.
Everyone wants to know where the money is going.
There are people called accountants I believe. And I know a forensic account.
Hmmm....just thinking about home grown MJ. I'm guessing the government will make it illegal to grow without a license unless it is for personal use (and that's a limited amount). Analogies would be home brew beer and home grown tobacco.
I do think the price would fall quite a bit as commercial growers crank up the volume, but just like beer and cigs - the price in the store didn't go to zero due to home brew or home tobacco. It's a question of both quality and supply I think.
Anyway....If I live that long, I am considering the virtues of being "lit" all the time beginning in my mid-80s assuming it is legal in my state. I think it'll probably help offset the stress of possibly having diminished physical abilities.
Speaking of "vices" my paternal grandmother used snuff everyday and lived to be 102 1/2 (you start counting halves again after 100!)
Hemp is also a useful product resulting
Has illegal pot gotten any cheaper?
Tobacco is hard. MJ is easy. At today's potency a dozen plants a year is serious usage. The genie will burst from the lamp in short order.
Good to be home. CA NV AZ UT WY & CO. Six(?) National Parks. Twice as many Nat Forests. Uncountable State Parks/Rec Areas, etc. Ahhh but the afternoon ocean breeze.
Another launch is scheduled for this evening.
Did Trump really attack a CNN guy?
Liz, you must be referring to the doctored video. No one was attacked.
Meanwhile in Californica, no one knows where the money is really going. However, Santa Monica has announced that they are putting in bus lanes and widening the sidewalks on the busiest street in town, which also happens to be Highway 1. This will cut the traffic capacity in half, if not worse. Maybe that's where the money is going, because.... Oh, wait....

...and...

Um:
> The City’s “farmer’s market supervisor” received $140,000 in total compensation, and the assistant city librarian received a pay and benefits package totaling $220,000 City bus drivers averaged $109,000 in total compensation.
The police chief makes $488K, The Deputy Chief makes $453K, The Captain makes $451K, the City manager makes $448K, etc down the list;

The city's biennial budget is $1.1 Billion (with a "B") for a city with a population of about 95,000 people.
Lord have mercy. These are parasites
What is the average income of people living there?
I said that video couldn't be right. But that is Trump pretending to beat up the guy with the CNN box on his head? That's even creepier than if he was even doing it for real. He's crazy.
Good morning.😀. I think.
I mean, that is his real back we see?
Up 300$. It will go down when you know who starts a war. Maybe a pretend war.
No kidding. When I retire I'll probably grow a few plants in the basement... For pain management, of course... No profit for the growers there
Ya... That chit will knock your dickstring loose...
We can only hope
price of legal pot has dropped here from about $20 per gram (when first legalized) to about $5 per gram now. Think I'll stick with beer...not TJ's double IPA though.. ;<)
have some relatives in town that I'm playing tour guide with this week..and yesterday when we were out and about I missed a turn..so had to turn around in someones driveway..in their window was a sign that read "Queers for No Borders". I just turned to my guests and said.."Welcome to Seattle"
Back to reality over here, sorta. Everybody is gone now, we had a great time with my friends pontoon boat, everyone got to thrash the jet ski, floating in the pool and BBQ, eating out.
Stock market up over 200. Nuts but my poor folio is not getting better. Mutual funds rock!
A seat for every ass. Trump has kinda given up on that Wall thing.
One thing at a time. He has a lot of BS still being thrown at him.
Florida never has any normality. Or reality. Thus pot is legal, but the rego at ion not complete so you can't buy any
One of the problems for the local pot shops is that since MJ is still illegal on the federal level..none of the banks will do business with them..so it's still an all-cash business..but they are expected to pay taxes..not sure all that works out.
I feel so bad for the first time home buyers in this market. If you're not already in, the barrier to entry is brutally high.
Ths got a very nice affordable house in Champaign Illinois. A VA loan. Interest rate under four. Very low barrier, but you can't live in Kali
Most first time home buyers don't want to settle for less, to me that is also a problem.
M&D assistance?
In Austin, there is no less to settle for. The low end has vanished. It's all been bought by investors and converted to rentals. My house has more than doubled in the 10 years I've owned it and rents have done the same thing. If I move, it's a real toss up for me to rent it out at 2.5x the mortgage or just roll the "equity" into my next home. Either way, what was an 1100sqft starter home for me will be something entirely different for the next owner.
RG, agreed. I see near everywhere the absence of low end or entry level housing.
New post.
