Housing Bubble, credit bubble, public planning, land use, zoning and transportation in the exurban environment. Well, the most recent estimates that I read suggest a total loss of 1.8 trillion. That's about 6 thousand per American, so about 24 thousand per family. This came to mind when I was reading Snowflake's recent comment, incredulous that some posters were trying to get him thrown into jail. I was even trying to do the math about how many haterz multiplied by loss per hater, and whether it equalled the total amount of gold that Casey had turned into debt but I gave up. It sure is a lot of money.

PS Trip to Vermont is now on for this weekend and, after receiving all of the useful info about places to see, I learned that the total amount of time we'll have to sightsee is about 2 hours. Puts a crimp in my plans. I guess we'll just have to visit the Leahy Centre in Burlington.

Congratulations on your first million, Dawg!
Um... isn't that the millionth and murst in the illustration? Minor point, I know.. perhaps niggling... and certainly pedantic. But that is my nature.

How long did it take you to count to one million?
Since July, 2004?
Well, Robbo, don't also forget to commemorate your first comment ever, almost 5 years ago:
By me! ;-)
So, $1 trillion dollars, like the bailout expected cost, is one million millions.
It boggles the mind that they could just give away the money, and make each and every person in both Atlanta and Kansas City millionaires.
