Latest Casey (for posterity)

BK -sooner- is in his readers’ interests and his as well. BK is a forgone event. The discussion is one of sooner and voluntary versus later and involuntary.

Things Casey is stuck with:

Liability due to -proven- and -prosecuted- fraud.
Taxes.
Damaged relationships.

Things Casey can dissipate:

CCard debt.
Future debt accrual.

So far in these three extraordinary months by Tim’s estimate his efforts have yielded $60-80 thousand in additional debt. Freakin’ tax late penalties from Dec 11th are $600 alone. I know, noise, just like the $37 (1jj) Jamba Juice overdraft. The Jetta Junker (1JJ) barely qualifies as worth tracking. He shoulda “bought” a “business car” and tried to claim it as part of livelyhood. That’s the stuff a good lawyer coulda tole him in SEPTEMBER. Too late now, the best he can hope is to squirrel cash. Not advise, just sumptin’ I herd on da street.

I’m frankly tired of Casey running up a bill on my tab. Begs the ethical question; you see a robbery. Is it your problem? Jean Valjean Casey ain’t.
----

Good Idea: Clip coupons.
Great Idea: Open mail.
Absolute necessity: 30 minute spreadsheet.

Bad Idea: Movies.
Really Bad Idea: Collige to get “riche.”
Fatal Mistake: Full speed ahead.

Which ones have your attention? Better yet, why are you reading my recreational musings? You need to be working Excel like a hedge manager.

Here, I’ll save you the trouble. The spreadsheet needs only a dozen datum in a 3×4 matrix. Ignore all else and track three months of 4 properties’ realistic sales price. You “bought” futures contracts on margin. I don’t expect you to understand that tech talk but even if you paid cash for all your “assets” you are ummmm, in a difficult place. You have to pay people to stop the bleeding. You don’t even have any bandages. This isn’t all that bad… yet. It just seems you can’t make a decision until things do get that bad.

Casey is just a classic manic/depressive compulsive gambler type.

He is happy is when is talking about and doing "deals" - talking about getting "corporate borrowing" of 50K to fix up his houses, looking into getting "small loans" of 5K or 10K - going to N. Riche "University" and talking about throwing around more thousands of dollars on "sweet deals". In this world, $37 Jamba Juice overdrafts are noise - when he is going to make $1000/hour on "deals", the overcharge gets paid for in about two minutes. Why waste the time even thinking about the overcharge, when he could be spending that time doing deals?

What he can't bear is the thought of a dull day-to-day cubicle existance, where he actually has to think twice about spending an extra $20, and where 5K is something he has to painfully save over several months - not something just granted to him by the credit fairy.

He is going to hit bottom, and he is going to hit bottom hard.

Who would ever let this clown in the door? He might as well have HAZMAT tatooed on his forehead. Sure he has "issues." I'm not going to call the kettle black. But man oh man, this dude has as another poster noted the "fecal finger of fate." Everything he touches turns to sh!t. You know, thinking on it the worst fate isn't public arrest, trial and incarceration. The worst thing is that nobody cares enough to pursue the crimes. Casey who?

Why then is it that we are so fascinated with him...? Since he posted his bank statement, whenever I pass Jamba Juice I cringe (haven't actually been there in many years while trying to save up enough for an under $1 Mil home that isn't falling apart or in a high homicide rate neighborhood in the Bay Area). He taps into something - maybe it's a Thank God I'm not him something, but I sort of feel sorry for the guy too.

I think Casey is plagued by ADHD. He doesn't strike me as being manic-depressive. Unfortunately, I have some experience with this, being sued (unsuccessfully) by a self-admitted manic-depressive a few years ago. There isn't much of a comparison between the nutjob who refused his lithium who sued me and Casey.

I have never corresponded with anyone who has had more to worry about than Casey, yet except for the brief 2-day hiatus this week, he's been upbeat throughout. He's not lashing out any anyone and accepts that he's at fault. The fact that he refuses to ACT on his problems tells me he cannot concentrate on the real issues. Hence, ADHD.

I believe "Manic-Depression" is now called "Bipolar Disorder" just like "Global Warming" is now "Climate Change." It's all another way of properly marketing some shoes that need to be shit upon.
Point being, Casey is a perfect example of how corrupt this country has become - thanks to a completely insane admin for too long; And yet he occasionally takes personal responibility (something one can't say about our supposed prez) and that's what I'd like to encourage and think many other haters/critics do (and also why he frustrates the hell out of me). IMHO, personal responsibility is not found in a mass marketed Ely Lilly pill or get-rich-quick book, but just a simple matter of focus and clearing out the BS. Hope he can do that
