Starve the Beasts
How much "currency" is out there? Amazingly only $2,853 per person in the US. We could break the bank with 1/10th of that on demand. I'm getting subversive ideas.
' apostrophe -- Used to mark omissions and possessives.
" quotation mark -- Used to mark speech, a quotation, a phrase, or word, in some cases for ironic purposes.
This short lesson on punctuation has been brought to you by the Grammar Police, who would remind you to make proper use of your (NOT you're) punctuation. :)
P.S. And with the Fed printing money, there is a significant chance that at some point in the future, it will be $2759 per Jamba Juice™ rather than $2759 per person.
The funniest part about the Dykstra article is how it mentions that he writes an investing column at thestreet.com. I guess it goes back to that old saw about teaching.

Some would question the use of the apostrophes here, but first & foremost the Dawg snarks!
There's probably more than that floating around in other countries.
Some would question an apostrophe in I'm?
Among my $2853, I happily count a $500 Federal Reserve Note from the mid-1930's.
Best part is that although it's still perfectly legal tender, I'd probably be treated like a counterfeiter if I attempted to spend it. :-)
@wc
"currency"
I got ahead of the game and got a Zimbabwe 100 trillion note on eBay. I figure we hit parity in a couple years.
Folks are setting their cars on fire to avoid payments. that would be funny if it weren't so damn dangerous

Now Lenny Dykstra is losing his $25 million dollar estate.
People are sinking their boats or just abandoning them

Two-thirds of hard USD currency is held overseas. If it ever decides to beat feet home you'll know.

Meant to say quotation mark.
PS Grammar Police - beware of Muphry's law.
Who's MUPHRY?

Exactly, Mr Outspoken.
Why anyone would buy stock trading advice from this guy befuddles me. And how did TheStreet get involved with him anyway?
Too bad he just missed the job fair in Manchester, NH . Everyone else was there!
A city of 100,000 drew 10,000 job seekers in a state with reported unemployment of 5.3%.
(I'm sure there were Mainers and Massholes there too, but jeez...)
So are Californians going to get tax refunds in the form of scrip this year?
Looks like we might be heading that way as well:
