Another Ripple Effect

I love Lobster.

Tough... or do I mean tender?
Industry experts say their biggest concern is what will happen in late November when about 40 per cent of Atlantic Canada's lobsters are landed off the southwestern coast of Nova Scotia.
"We're a month away from our big landing season and with the constant barrage of negative news on the economy ... consumer confidence is being destroyed daily," said Morrow.
"It's feeding on itself. ... People are becoming very careful about how they spend their money."

Lobstermen are still paying for diesel and insurance and credit.

JvJ,
Forums are a mixed bag. My research showed forums were subject to several negative reinforcements. A blog with forums devolves into high school cliques for but one aspect. It is also a turnoff for linear following of a running conversation. Forums require multiple admins. Are you ready to deal with multiple egos? Come on. I'm at best a barely sufferable benevolent despot. I've been looking at the blog equivalent of the CNBC Septaboxes or Octoboxes. A cluster of clickable subjects as the header. Would that work?

After I cover the boat tomorrow, I am going to have a couple lobsters.

Prices like this do not last.

Mass still has a Puritan law that you are not allowed to feed your slaves lobster more then 4 times a week.

We went from special case risks [contained] to regional risks [contained] to company risks [contained] to sector risks [contained] to market risks [contained] to country risks [contained] to...? Planetary?

No clue what Septa Octa or Nona boxes are... but here's what bothers me... as soon as a new post goes up, the previous ones are abandoned.. even though there might still be much more life to them.

You have an excellent point. I promise to work on it and also stay open to suggestions. I admit that since I see every post I may not be the best judge. I actively solicit your suggestions.

Here is a well-behaved forum. Commenting on a topic bumps it up.

Whitney Portal

I, however, would miss the Dawgs picture selection.

I am looking forward to the downturn in the economy, since I have been scraping bottom for a long time already. I might get a chance to eat lobster.

What is this "Lobster" thing you speak of?

wagga said...

A Colonial-era British soldier.

Ohhh, good one wagga. Leave it to a people who are ultimately all Poms to come up with that one. ;-)

Lobsterbacks are Solders under the British flag in the Americas. Redcoats = lobsters obvious.

Lobster is the flesh of the Gods. In colonial times considered a protein of the poor its' serving was limited for servants.

Mmmm lobster.

As far forums go, I find blogs easier to track while multitasking. With the hundreds of RSS feeds I subscribe to, I really don’t have the time to delve into non-work related forums.

Colonial 'merkins (not to be confused with merkins) had another name for those brilliant red coats - target.

I didn't know you were a cannibal, Lost Cause. I guess you learn something new every day.

Don't you realize that the huge black guy who supposedly mugged the pathetic, Repug WALNUTS supporting fat chick was dyslexic?!!
Game over (unless it happens to be stolen again).

Akubi said...

Just say no to business as usual!
This past 8 years of a hellish Repug admin has been the most fiscally irresponsible one EVER! Conservative my ass.
I want every single one of those Neo-Cons and asshat financiers on trial. NOW!

Yeah as wagga said lets not lose Rob's picture selection.
Of course I'm still trying to figure out where that fannie/freddie picture from a while back came from

Dawg, the POM reference is a little blind. I'm one half Irish, one quarter Scottish (going back to Wallace the Bruce) and a mere quarter Cockney.

But I still like to watch the Jezzer

Oh, reminds me, we had one of
these on our block until 3 weeks ago. Most likely still not on vacation. No funeral limos on the street. Probably still in a coma.

10K revs at 3 am. were trying. 10 minute hi-rev warmups/cooldowns were positively homicide-inducing.

Anybody know if there is a kc connection with this RE site other than the photo credit?

The last eight years of neo-kahn rule have been anything but conservative in the classical sense. We have a right to feel betrayed by this crew who set up the likes of Juan McCain to go up against the other party. I've never been that impressed by either establishment party but this just takes the cake. If Obama wins it will be by default, because he's just avoided making glaring errors and given his opponents less to latch onto. It's starting to feel like the "stab in the back" that led to defeat in WW1 and the disaster of Bolshevism that followed. It took suffering through more than a decade of unemployment, hyperinflation, and malaise before Germany got its act together again in '33.

KC has been awful quite the past four days. His spiritual quest was supposed to be over on Sunday. Other than a handful of comment approvals he's been incommunicado. Maybe he's having a come to Jesus talk with the parents?
