Laugh While You Can

I'll change this post date to Oct 17th 7:02 AM in honor of Casey's latest misadventure. Looks like he's about to purge the Haterz™ again. And again, feel free to post here anything you wish. This post will stick at the top for a day and we'll see how it goes. Have fun and for heaven's sake don't keep it clean and civil. ;-)

I loved all the Haterz™ begging to be banned. Gold at $800 and Goldsprine at 1.8¢. Casey needs GSPG.OB to be at least 3.5¢. I have no idea how this will end.

Jeez,

"Somebody here needs to buy the ebook to test out the payment system please. I tried doing it myself but I think it recognizes me and rejects my card."

In silico veritas.

OK - Now THAT is funny. Best line I've seen all week.

As to CS - someone will eventually break down and buy it. Likely it will be someone over at CHC who will then post it for all to see. I'm wondering when CS will realize that this magic e-book isn't going to pay the bills.

Thurman Munson's Ghost said...

Now I can't say that I've seen the e-book in question, but I've "heard" it is 19 pages long and is basically a rehash of Casey's life story. From what I've "heard" it is basically a 19-page begathon.

Even with a reacharound included, that thing wouldn't be worth $50.

Rob Dawg said...

NR,
Can I steal that?

NR - it's on my bulletin board already. Thanks for making me look smarter than I am. I looked up the phrase and saw a document written by a real smart guy. Doc looks good, too. If you look hard you can find it without paying (kind of like Casey's book only harder.)

Dawg,

Any ideas what Casey's hidden income stream is?

Rob Dawg said...

Just guesses but I can only think of two things that match his behavior.

#1. Structured settlement that he is too stupid or locked out from getting a cash settlement.

#2. Phased inheritance. Rich grandparents often establish age 21 through 29 payouts for grandchildren.

Like I said, pure speculation. Then again consider his annual cyclical investment pattern. Hmmmm?

Rob Dawg said...

GSPG.OB is a zero. Two weeks? Two months? Ten months? No idea and no interest making the effort to make the distinction.

segfault said...

I don't think he has a hidden income stream, other than the sweet corporate credit. He will slowly turn the certificates back in to his broker and sell off all 2,000,000 shares of his Precious, leaving no collateral for the $60k loan.

Unknown said...

Any ideas what Casey's hidden income stream is?

Turning tricks by the motel ice machine.

Really. You know if he had a legit job, he'd be bragging about it. He wants to keep his alleged income stream hidden. I wonder why.

Property Flopper said...

Either that or he's gotten a W2 job under an assumed name (NOBODY is going to hire him if he gave his real name) and he's too embarrased to say so.

Yeah... that's not going to happen, first CS publicly bragged about crapping his pants just a couple weeks ago - NOTHING will ever embarrass him. Secondly, the idea of him getting (and keeping) a job is just laughable.

Northern Renter said...

Feel free to use the in silico veritas comment. I don't recall ever hearing it before, but I don't claim to have invented it. Particularly since the document Rebecca describes is in a journal that I often read (and is an interesting article, as she said).

As for CS, either he has us all fooled by having another income stream or else he is about to switch from an all-vegan diet to having a lot of meat stuffed in his mouth.

Rob Dawg said...

I must admit a light bulb lit up at the suggestion of tricking. Everything about him has been leading to it. Desperate boi toi shacked up in a in a seedy motel. Odd, mostly very late hours. Weird diet as the excuse for what look like signs of abuse.

If Casey is selling buns two for a dollar or dealing in tube steak sandwiches I more than don't care. i don't want to know but it does seem possible.

Maybe Nigel got angry at his ride being used for business purposes?

Property Flopper said...

Or perhaps Nigel's girlfriend got upset about Nigel riding the little boi.

Personally, I think drugs more than prostitution (using almost certainly, dealing possibly).

Rob Dawg said...

Ohhhh. "dealing." Sactown is certainly a hub. He has been "on the road." His income has been clearly up and down. He looks like he's using. The bit about hiz sweet ride getting broken into. The stories about people hanging around where he lives, the hours. The income tax issues, the FBI. Yeah that fits too.

Unknown said...

Male prostitution, drug use, drug dealing, it all works.

Face it, is there any "gray area" crime that hasn't attracted Casey like the proverbial moth to a flame? If he thought he could get away with it, he'd be robbing banks at gunpoint as we speak.

Rob Dawg said...

Casey has already used a pen to the same effect.

Peripheral Visionary said...

You all are too creative. KC's mind just doesn't work that way; even if there was a lot of money to be made in vice, it's just too much work to make it happen. He can't even open mail, let alone show up to a drug deal on time.

A simple review of his life story reveals the likely source of his income: he's borrowing it from somebody.

Yes, that may sound impossible to us who know him, but he has found fools in the past who got talked into "investing" with him, and I am more than willing to bet that, having tapped out the lines of credit with his corporation and his family, he's found a new well of borrowed money to draw from.

He could easily get a job as a graphic artist even with the little bit of education he has.

Like him or hate him, the kid has an eye for image composition and he could make a very good living at it.

Unknown said...

Doesn't working as a graphic artist require, well... work?? ;-)

Cross that off the list. Honestly, I don't know anything about the field, but wouldn't he be competing against people with decent experience in the field, most of whom have related degrees? What does he have -- a Flickr account showing that he drinks grass?

Rob Dawg said...

No legitimate employer would touch him. He's burned all those bridges. Heck, if I were a dealer I would google him and then not employ him either. He's left to grift on his own.

I work directly with several graphic artists for projects that I am currently managing at my company.

I will say this: Casey's skills are in no way unique. While it may seem he has a keen 'eye' for photography, he has no skills that exceed any of the individuals I know. In fact, I would not even say he matches their skill set. Not to mention that the vast majority of these graphic artists have these funny things on their walls called DIPLOMAS.

And frankly, even if he somehow got his way through the interview by agreeing to provide sexual favors to the new boss, how long do you think the fliptard would last in any corporate environment that demands milestones and timetables of success for their employee's current work load?

Answer: he would last about as long as a snowball in the center of a fusion reactor.

Face it. Murse-boy is a walking train-wreck.

Thanks Max. Yes. To satisfy your inner nerd you can wade through the analyses at boombustblog where Reggie does the deep numbers.

GGP is about to implode and Simon won't be far behind despite appearances. Simon is ready to open a 45 store 5 restaurant expansion of their Camarillo Premium Outlet mall into the teeth of a massive retail contraction. Walked the mall for my health last night. I can guarantee 20% storefront failures by January. The "Big Dog" store has already announced. Went in there only to find clearance prices I wouldn't consider to be full retail. T-Shirts $24 get a second half price? WTF is that?

Don't be a stranger Max. Oh, wait.. was i just begging for sweet hits? I'll go hurt myself now. ;-)

w said...

Interesting article Maxwill. Mall operators looking to roll over their debt in the next year shouldn't worry too much. I am sure a lending facility will be opened for them too.

Rob, is the Outlet Mall expansion that monstrosity being built by Lyle Parks Jr.? Does he have any relation to Linda Parks? And what is with someone breaking ground on the ~100 acres on the other side of Home Depot? Are these people sane? At least if they left it for Ag they could have made $2500-3000 an acre through the recession. Every commercial building and industrial park in the county looks to be for sale or lease already.

The ebook has been, um, seen floating around the internet. It's 19 pages long, much of which is whitespace with huge margins and large type. One page is the cover, then there's two pages of disclaimer. Four pages are a post from IAFF, and it has a super-secret link to the archived IAFF content, which has been available on the new IAFF itself and Caseypedia for some time. It's basically an advertisement for the real ebook, which he will create if enough people buy the current offering. Price: $49.95 for a 19-page sales pamphlet. Epic fail.

FalseCasey has a review with excerpts.

His musings about asking for contributions to buy an iPhone and pay for an expensive data plan are, or were, in his Twitter stream, but I don't see it there now offhand. He may have deleted it, as the reception was rather chilly.

On his blog's biggest day -- there are over 1130 comments in that one thread, and he said he was going to declare JIHAD on the haterz today -- Casey hasn't twittered or poked his head up on the blog for more than five hours. Earlier today, he made a minor change to the post title and tweaked the download page. That's it.

He did promptly refund one person's $49.95 for the e-pamphlet a few hours ago, so he's still alive and either moping or writing the mother of all blame-the-haterz blog posts.

Nope, their property in Nashua.
I have passed several of their properties lately. Manchester, Nashua, Burlington and Peabody. On weekends there are cars. At night the joints are empty by 7.

If you have not been to Manchester, you would not know that mall. It is 5x bigger than in the late 70s and all the area around it is also built up. Still remember when it opened and Digital Equipment tried to hawk minicomputers to consumers there. Forerunner to the Apple stores :>)

Colors are good. This should be a good weekend. Our summer is running 5 weeks late so the color change has been in pleasant weather. Still have not had a frost in So NH. May even take the top off the Jeep one more time. Need to enjoy the new Wrangler, as I thought the lifetime warranty was for the life of the Wrangler and not the company. May not make 12,000 miles before they hit the mountain. :<(

Yeah the Roubini rant looked like a clever hack to me too.

I flew into Manchester 3 years ago and was mildly surprised at the spread of man. I'm not real optomistic for most of New England. Demographics and infrastructure work against it.

I went out on a a very long limb to talk about 8800 as a strange attractor for the Dow. Seems to be holding for now. And make no mistake there is no upside. None. So many bad stocks with no earnings but far worse the continuing need to raise cash will grind down the good stocks. Gas price declines or even home price technical stabilization and the talking heads jawboning Christmas as a set up for exceeding expectations still leaves us with expensive gas, home prices in the toilet and an empty Christmas. Beating "expectations" won't be enough anymore. Seven handle for sure but I'm not ready to call an end to this ledge before the ultimate capitulation cliff dive.

KC is charging $50 for the e-book? The last book I paid over $50 for was Schneemelcher's New Testament Apocrypha Vol. 2, over 600 pages with translations from the Greek, Latin, Old Slavonic, and Coptic. A comprehensive collection of academic commentary on esoteric subjects with annotated translations of ancient texts is what a $50 book looks like, not a 19-page pamphlet from a guy who can't even translate his own thoughts into English.

In short, the e-book is, as WWTF said, Epic Fail.

On the Roubini subject (thanks for the link Lab Dog™), I'm fascinated, but I too am suspicious of the rant. All those posts in less than two minutes? (The BBQ was a joke that went right over his head, any half-ass investor would have seen the setup and mailed the certs back that afternoon). After 700+K what does he have to show for it, not one material thing. A family that at best will give him wide berth for the next few years, divorced and living on the street. Question: Is Casey a citizen of the US?

Normally, people immigrate with Green Cards and later (at least 5 years later) apply for citizenship.

If he is ever prosecuted and found guilty (of, for example, mortgage fraud), citizenship vs. green card status could make a big difference (he could be deported if he is not a citizen).

I figure Investard™ has a little over 2 million shares at 2.5¢ per his claims. I figure outside the the Caseyworld™ reality distortion field aka Earth he has about 1.6m and a cost basis of 2.9¢ and a new break even after sales and expenses of 3.9¢. IOW screwed again.

Property Flopper said...

Apparently Casey requested the actual certificates for GSPG and is now surprised that they have been removed from his online account... ugh.

I've got a question though - having never been silly enough to request the certs, isn't there a cost associated with that? I can't imagine the brokers gathering the certs and mailing them out for free. Some kind of processing charge at least.

REALLY funny if CS paid to have them sent - so they are out of his account (that he was writing checks against) and he will not be able to sell them before this hits bottom as he will need to get the certs BACK to the broker before selling.

Classic Casey.

w said...

3.9¢ is to get back out what was put in. To cover the initial investment and his spending nearer to 5¢ which is clearly impossible now short of a Magalia nugget.

Flippy™: "Wht oes that mean?"

Broker: "You are dumber than the dirt you bought."

Aaron,
Yes, He had accumulated some on the way up and sold and then made a single 2.5m purchase @2.5¢ June 9th seems right. With costs $58,000. There was a theoretical peak of 6¢ but in practice he could have disposed at a double of 5¢ clearing $50k and getting a new start. But the Caseyworld™ reality distortion field intervenes. At best there's $26,000 left after expenses.

Re: Mall closures.

Rob,

When I was a kid growing up in North Orange County we'd go to one of maybe 3 malls in the area. This was the late 70s. Many people who lived in far off areas had to come to the premier malls if they wanted more than the local grocery/strip mall offerings in their rural area.

Do you see us going back to the future? I can. Maybe the inland empire (for example) want high end shopping they may have to drive to LA or South Coast Plaza, for example.

I think malls in exurban areas and small rural cities like Randall, OH or a random example - McComb MS or places where population can't support malls with more than a few key basic staple stores will be a luxury that will disappear.

Captain - The Bay Area is actually not doing too badly - at least close to SF. If you want to see a meltdown, look out at Contra Costa County, specifically the Pittsburg / Antioch area. LOTS for sale around there.

I haven't been watching the rest of Alameda County, but I know Oakland has a LOT of bank owned single family homes. Not sure how many of those are listed on MLS and how many are just sitting waiting.

The SF Bay Area has a reason for high prices -- it has limited land and getting in and out is difficult.
