One of those canisters looks like anti-AXE serum and everyone recognizes the BS detector and righteous steel toed boots but the rest of the equipment seems unfamiliar. Anyone care to give it a try?

It seems that Steve Serin, USMC is a used car dealer -- genesisauto.us.

Wasn't "Savvy" Chris Record involved in a scam involving used cars at some point as well. Wonder if Genesis Auto is a front for other scams.

At least he's making a living and has some useful skills. To paraprhase Judge Smalls, "The world needs used car dealers too." So long as that's what you do, and you do it well, I've got nothing against you and will defend your right to engage in an honest trade, even one that most people don't like.

Who the hell is "Gualiana"? Steve Serin keeps saying "Gualiana" when talking about Galina.

What the hell is going on?

I see RCS is also down, with most of the recent material being pulled. Now the last entry is from April 22nd.

What a coinkidink that Nigels DHC and RCS seemed to have become ghost towns at the same time? Yeah Nigel, you have nothing to do with RCS, ya balding chubby piece of shit.

Very intereting that all of the line crossing shit is gone. The pornographic imagery, the shot of an overly chubby cote baldy photoshopped with a murse, the snuff-film esque picture of a girl who isn't Dawg's daughter but replete with seriously libelous material.

I guess the wheels of justice turn slowly and quietly. Nigel Swaby is back is CYA mode. Good on you Dawg for taking the high road. I for one want to see his ass nailed to the wall. Seems like he did that for himself quite well. Back to being an award winning, RE carnival watching nobody I guess.

Sorry about that. I assumed too much by the article I linked to. I haven't seen any SLC specific data for April, but will post it as soon as it becomes available.

Based on what I'm seeing out in the field I know we're still better off than some parts of the nation. The new homes I've been exposed to are flying off the shelves so to speak, but I have noticed a lot of inventory available in existing homes. However, the prices are quite high. I'm afraid the days of a reasonably priced home ($150k) in a good neighborhood in SLC are pretty much over.

Sounds a lot like the 'ol "Ah Sorry yeah I bought and wrote the press release actually...guess I shouldn't be crowing about it..."

I suspect Nigel has - very belatedly - realized that all his activities over the past few months have done nothing but untold damage to his online reputation, and thinks it's probably best to lie low for a bit.

Googling 'Nigel Swaby' even three months ago produced pretty respectable returns - but just try it now! Even the Caseypedia entry, which is only about ten days old, is already in the top 20 and climbing fast.

"queen sarah is a simple gal, and although she may have a fraction of what galina does, I can assure you she will NEVER scrub a strangers toilet for $$$$."

All we've seen of Galina is pictures that Casey has put up of her, and what he's said about her. We've never seen her side of the story, and her husband isn't the font of honesty.

How can you be so sure she would NEVER scrub a toilet?

BTW, you're right on one count. She's not cleaning strangers' toilets. Casey says that she's cleaning the homes of friends and family.

Anonymous said...

I think the crucial point about Galina is that all the actual evidence - as opposed to gut-instinct finger-pointing, wishful thinking and semi-pornographic fantasizing - points to someone who married too young, trusted her husband too much, and realized far too late that things weren't quite as rosy as he kept making out.

For me, the crucial bit of evidence - more valuable than LossMitPro's first-hand description or Steve Serin's account on the talkcast - was seeing in her handwriting the sentence:

"in HARMONIOUS agreement with Galina Serin, without pressuring her or manipulating her or taking advantage of her."

Why would she write that, if this hadn't been happening to her all along, and she hadn't belatedly realized that this was a fundamental part of the problem?

"Ah yes," say the finger-pointers, "but she's just saying that now to wriggle out of her obligations!" Well, she could be - but she's still married to him, so what has she got to gain, other than more misery? I'd understand if she pulled a Duane and trashed his reputation AFTER getting the hell out of the marriage, but the fact that she's doing it now suggests that she's had enough of being lied to - a position that's 100% supported by the comments that Steve made in the talkcast.

What Miguel said. And what Declan reported and all the other firsthand reports. She's waking up to a really bad situation and is being forced to grow up very quickly into a postion she didn't foresee and surely would never choose. In three years from somewhat sheltered modestly ambitious newlywed to 3 years wasted and years of pain digging out ahead. She may have given fliptard one more chance but most likely there will be several more one more chances as well. She isn't the cut and run type. I think she was modestly involved in the adventure of real estate empire building but just a victim of Casey's collapsing said empire in on them. She's grown a spine because he has not which in my book earns her a break from the worst forms of speculation.

As to Nigeypoo, no news but we'll have a recap later today.

Anonymous said...

She's grown a spine because he has not which in my book earns her a break from the worst forms of speculation.

Part of the reason why we had so much speculation is that it's only been in the last fortnight that we've had any actual evidence. I don't count shots of Galina walking around with a clipboard as "evidence" of anything other than that she'd bought into her husband's RE fantasies - and since she'd presumably been fed this junk day in day out and didn't know any better, who can blame her?

The other thing she seems to have is a sense of responsibility - SHE's the one who gave up her education and got a job. And she's clearly trying to persuade Casey to do the same (or at least the job part).

So I completely agree: she needs encouragement, not ridicule. Especially if Casey's still reading EN - he might notice that people are being altogether nicer towards Galina and wonder why.

Rob Dawg said...

Part of the reason I'm being nicer is because she has started costing me less money. Let's face it, at this point every dirty penny more in Casey debt is our money not his. I can't help but wonder if the "cleaning houses" isn't her pastor's idea of getting her out of a toxic environment and exposing her to people he knows that have functioning values systems. It also serves, deliberate or accident, to expand her circle of friends completely outside the black hole gravitational pull of Caseyworld™. She'll have aquaintances he does not know about and they'll be familiar enough with her to possibly help her out. Maybe there are good things coming for her.

Anonymous said...

@Miguel, Rob Dawg

WORD to all you both have said. In Casey's world, reality and fantasy are distinct opposites; that's why he could twist the concept of a wife who wants to work vs. sit on her ass and watch the debt grow into someone who is "holding him back." To Casey, anyone who disagrees with him is "holding him back," despite the "sure, sure, sure," and "that is a good question" responses. The emerging picture that appears is that Casey wanted his trophy wife and a fresh line of credit, to boot. What a jerk.

It also seems interesting that the mysterious anonopussy keeps ratcheting up the "it was the family" crap in spite of mounting evidence that it is not. Also note that anonoidiot seems to be under the delusion that if he says it, it is true. As Miguel stated, they never offer their names or any relevant evidence. Sounds like someone we know.

Yanno, after reading that, I'm beginning to wonder if Casey didn't quit those IT jobs, but was fired, or on the verge of being fired. His NPD behavior, lying, etc.,and those mad IT skillz leads me to believe that he has always been unemployable. Plus there would be that nagging need for him to outdo his Marine brother and the brother who is a real worker. Casey appears to be the "runt" of the family--and there are two mechanisms of coping for being the "runt," working hard at being an achiever, or being an entitled asshole.

riddle me one question: If Galina is so innocent and such an outstanding citizen, then why hasn't she turned Casey in yet? Same with the family?

I'm sure if Galina walked into the Sacramento DA office, the DA may have a different opinion about her innocence that yours, but I digress.

Blindly signing a document anyone puts in front of you (even a loved one) is a mistake, and does not remove culpability.

Well, your majesty, that's all well and fine in a perfect world, but There are shades of gray...and as manipulative and belligerent as Casey is, you couldn't see how this could happen?

C'mon now. It may not remove culpability, but give the damn girl a break. And you don't know that she hasn't been trying to turn his ass in; frankly, how many ENers and haters have contacted the authorities (and nothing's happened)?

I'm not a Galina supporter - I'm a Galina defender. If you provide hard evidence that proves beyond any reasonable doubt that she was fully aware of the full extent and likely impact of Casey's fraudulent activities from the start, I'll switch sides in a split second.

riddle me one question: If Galina is so innocent and such an outstanding citizen, then why hasn't she turned Casey in yet? Same with the family?

Why should she/they? What would they possibly gain from it?

It's not as though this is some deep dark secret that only they have the power to reveal - Casey's financial shenanigans have been in the public domain for months (and a national mainstream media story since October). Loads of people have informed various law enforcement bodies, and nothing has been done - so what could Galina/the family do that would make any difference?

Blindly signing a document anyone puts in front of you (even a loved one) is a mistake, and does not remove culpability.

Of course it doesn't, and there's every possibility that she'll have to face the legal music as well, assuming that particular band ever decides to strike up.

But I'm arguing that there's a clear moral difference between deliberately setting out to defraud people and merely signing a document because you think it'll help your husband's business. This is certainly naive in the extreme, and I doubt the law will be especially sympathetic - but there's no reason why we shouldn't be.

Not least because Galina has made a demonstrably greater impact on Casey's actions than anyone else over the past fortnight. Which is why she needs encouragement - she and the family might actually be able to get through to him in a way that the rest of us can't.

Anonymous said...

It's also well worth noting that he's older than them, which must be pretty intolerable to someone with Casey's mindset.

I'm an older child myself, and my younger brother earns considerably more than I do - not least because he's had a completely linear career that involved gettting a professional qualification straight after university and working his way up the same corporate ladder through hard work and spotting opportunities.

Fortunately, unlike Casey, I'm completely happy with my present lifestyle (unlike my brother, I genuinely love my job, obtained in a far more chaotic and haphazard fashion), so I don't feel any pressing need to compete - but I can easily imagine how a Casey would feel extremely resentful in my position. Older children do feel more entitled than their siblings - it's the "First! Murst!" game writ large.

Miguel and khatie,

Are you attempting to use the "Jerome Mayne" argument for Galina? He got convicted of a felony, spent 5 years in prison for what amounted to criminal negligance. Go listen to Casey's 1st podcast where he was a guest.

Bottom line, I think it's demeaning to Galina to think she lacks the intelligence to read a contract, and to know what she got herself into. I, for one, don't.

Thus, I think the Babushka Bonnie is as guilty as the Uzbeki Clyde. Ultimately, her innocence or guilty in the matter may be decided by 12 of her peers, and will not be decided here.

Absolutely. We all know how persuasive Casey can be. If you've just married the guy and you've bought into his claim that he's a hotshot businessman, why would you ask too many questions? You'd just go with the flow.

None of which is likely to exonerate her in court, but I'd be happier waiting for an actual verdict than sentencing her right now. Especially as - and I really can't repeat this enough - she's actually getting through to him. Not much, admittedly, but more than the rest of us have managed.

i never had to turn a loved one in for a crime. i dont know anyone who has...but i can imagine that is a tough thing to do

It's probably almost as hard to ring your older brother up on a public phone-in and give him a finger-wagging lecture!

@ king friday etc.

Nope, I say what I do as a someone who is married, and someone who has worked in the health and human services sector who has seen this kind of abuse over and over. I have seen this with the woman that gets beaten but goes back to her abuser; with the girlfriend who persists in sleeping with her HIV-infected boyfriend without protection because she fears he'll leave her. Same thing, different circumstances, IMHO. Unlike those women, it appears that Galina has grown a spine and is hopefully moving forward. But like the two women I mention, she will have to pay the price for it. Thankfully, the price will not be her life.

I've said over and over that if Galina was deeply involved, that she should pay for her crime. However, if she's cleaning houses because her jackass husband won't work, then I have to give her props for having at least the courage to do what is right.

I'm sure that doesn't fit in with this apparent obsession you seem to have with Galina's alleged guilt, but it's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
