FBI? Small Issue Itsallgood

I never thought Casey would mention the FBI. Wow. He thinks some little federal business is worth not mentioning compared to what happened yesterday? What does Casey always say is most important? Certainly not the FBI.

Rob Dawg: "I answer to higher obligations."

If this was true, you would shut this peanut gallery circus down right now. You don't, because you don't.
Plain enough?

There is a moral obligation to stop people from getting any more hurt. That involves getting facts out without betraying individuals. You are saying screw the law, screw personal responsibilty, screw trust and all because you want information you cannot get on your own handed to you on your own term and at your own pace. You are the one with a problem and you can fix it. Here's your refund, don't let the door hit you in the ass.

@Brett: The "no business for 2 years" was from one of Casey's many "reform" contracts with Galina.

It does not result from a settlement made in a criminal case. Such procedures do not happen so quickly.

agreed....im going under the assumption that he doesnt care about his marriage....so im thinking more like a settlemnt with LMP or something...the wording just struck me because I've seen it many times before and always from some type of court proceedings

Rob is right, the information (well about 80% of it) has always been out there. The pieces were moving independantly. Now they are coming together.

Casey is realizing that his only chance for getting out of this mess (and yes for once he finally sees the hole he is in), will be through psuedo-reform.

He will beg for mercy and attempt to show remorse. Remember, up until this past week he has yet to show any remorse for his actions. Listen to the last talkshoe and here how he still felt he had done nothing wrong.

I believe he may have been instructed that the only way to get a deal and some mercy from both haterz, his wife, and the feds would be to show remorse. Shut the blog, apologize to all, start the motions for BK, and make a good display of appearing like you've learned from all of this.

Can he follow-through? That is the question...

Thanks Rob.
To quote myself in Mrs Farley's 4th grade class after she seized my Rat Fink toys, "What a waste of perfectly good Trolls" :>) :>)

Even if KC has discarded Marty like a used condom, I am not ready to let him off the hook. Never heard Marty post that what Casey said was a lie. And some of this stuff is too deep for Snowflake's thought processes.
Sorry, but no foregiveness until Marty comes clean.

Must get back to my W-2 looser job

I just don't get it.

Casey is shutting down the blog. He's getting a W2 job. He's going to work things out with his creditors. And he's cooperating with the FBI.

So far it is all just talk, but it's the talk we've been hoping for. He's finally following our advice. He finally got the wake-up call.

I just don't get why everyone is still mad at him. We should be happy. At least for now, it appears something sunk in. I say congrats and good luck.

If Galina takes him back, mazel tov. If not, mazel tov. It's her decision.

If what he says he's doing doesn't make you happy and give you hope that he's at least trying to change, please tell me: What would?

What do you want him to do?

The skeptic in me wonders if the posts, and request for empathy and so forth are a ploy.

I still want to think the best thing will happen for everyone. I really do.

Mejustme,
Casey is lying. Set aside that he is unemployable and uderstand this is all window dressing as events are beyond his control and he is finally realizing this.

LMP is in a good mood this morning. That must mean Casey is in a really really bad one. I infer from the way Mark is talking that the settlement is close (and hey Casey if you really are serious most of the things hes askign for probable arent a big deal anymore right?).

And while Casey may try to welch on his "CTJ" moment, hopefully Mark gets enough in writing that hes TWF if he does.

The only thing I cant reconcile Mark is you said you didnt feel right negotiating a settlement with Casey without a lawyer present..what are we to infer from that?

He's lying that he's taking down the blog?

Depends on the meaning of "he." IAFF is coming down as his baby within a month and it will not be coming down voluntarilly. Casey didn't "decide" to take it down, he was told by events and circumstance in no uncertain terms that it was only his in order to extract maximum value upon disposal. I'm not talking about court orders or anything like that but more that he finally sees the brick wall rushing towards him and he rationalizes by announcing he is about to hit a brick wall.

Hey - that's what he had cabin boys for. :)

BTW: Nice Sun Tsu quote earlier.

Rob - I believe that you are sincere in your efforts to release what information you can while protecting sources. I know you use the teases to poke CS... just know that they also hit the readers.

As Mouse and Pencil has so eloquently stated, this is rather annoying to the long time readers. I realize that revealing the info could hurt others far more than the mere annoyance we feel, but can't you avoid both?

The other day, Duane poked CS hard by telling him about documents and including the last four digits of one of them... VERY clear message to CS without teasing the readers. Nobody complained about that.

While I too get frustrated by the teases (#include whine - I WANT IT NOW! NOW!!! NOW!!!!!), I do appreciate the time / effort you have put into both stopping CS and maintaining this blog. Thanks for that.

I don't doubt that he finally sees the brick wall.

Maybe we can quibble about why he's taking the blog down, but in the end the only thing that matters is that he is (allegedly).

I ask again, what would you want him to do?
