Steve Serin Or Casey Serin have another scam going.

http://fresno.craigslist.org/cps/345177869.html

Hello there, I am posting this for 2 kinds of people

1. People intrested in making their own website for just $10 bucks a month, that includings hosting, domain name and up to 10 emails.

2. People who want to make some extra money. Once you make your website, you can tell others about the service. For every person that you tell, you will recieve 50% commision on their purchase.

For 5 people you refer in a single week that is a $100 for 25 it will be $500 and so on. For every person they refer, you get 10% of that too. This is MONTHLY income, not a one time thing. That means you will keep getting payed each month!

Send me an email if you are interested. steve@serin.us

You guys would have a better handle on this. Is this the Duane LeGate that worked with Casey?:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- A tidal wave of foreclosures may be heading toward Florida, if you judge by the number of homeowners looking to get rid of their homes as fast as they can.

Duane LeGate, president of House Buyer Network, arranges quick sales for home owners in distress. He claims he can predict where markets will go bad by looking at the traffic on his Web site.

GENTLEMEN,

I am unsure as to whether I will be attending the fraudcast tonight. More to the point, I am unsure as to why Mr. SERIN even chooses to hold these talks -- considering that they have been ending rather badly for him as of late.

Anyone wishing to call in may try this suggestion, found in the second comment of Mr. MINATTI's article. Also -- in order to countermand his anticipated use of the "mute" feature, one might attempt to use multiple accounts and multiple phone lines (or the "three-way" calling feature of your phone) and structure yourself so that you are two callers in a row.

I am sure that will be more entertaining than listening to Mr. SERIN's categorical denials.

I remain,

M. SINGH

[I hope I can be allowed a double post, as I find this development VERY troubling, and did not see new thread up... I guess I am very confused as to what Caseypedia's policy now is. I can live with ANY policy, I just think it should be fair. So if someone is going to give a pass and expurgiate content on select 'pretty' people with straight WHITE teeth (i.e. Galina & Sharky), but still allow heavily opinionated content on people that have a different COMPLEXION, well, that leaves me extremely uncomfortable, and frankly, prepared to just wipe off all of my own little contributions and be done with the whole shootin' match. What is the policy?]

Snark, barbs, and critical commentary directed at *certain* people who are Casey advertisers and supporters are apparently getting filtered at Caseypedia.

Perhaps full-on and aggressive deep-pockets Casey supporter, white-bread and mayonnaise pale complected Sharky Laguna even has established an inside route to the editing process at Caseypedia, based on these private communications?

In fact, it might even seem to some that people like Mocha and Nigel that are apparently found to be conveniently unattractive are fair game to be targeted for dark humor, innuendo, lambasteing, ribaldry, hijinks, and other sorts of probably unwanted public attention, but when someone takes on Sharky Laguna and we immediately get:

"Content removed. Guys, if you want to have a go at Mr. Laguana, please do this from the comfort and security of your own blogs or whatever. I haven't got the time to deal with this stuff at the moment. [[User:NoDebtWhatSoEver™|NoDebtWhatSoEver™]]"

: just to elaborate: I've had some lengthy (and given the circumstances very civil) emails from Sharky, who's clearly not happy at the coverage he's getting. Personally I have no particular opinion of the guy one way or another, other than that he made the mistake so many other have of doing business with Casey. If anyone has any issues to raise with him, please do so on your own responsibility. My beef is with Casey. [[User:NoDebtWhatSoEver™|NoDebtWhatSoEver™]]

Soem Dood replied:

:: Then Shall we of course also delete info on Kiyosucki? All Other Gurus? Nigel? LMP? Suspected Casey supporters (take a look; there is lot's of non-Casey -direct content here)At least some of those folks (not Laguna) have been "rehabilitated" and seen the error of their ways in supporting Casey's various illegalities and misdeeds. I frankly think he put a bug in someone's ear and is getting a pass. That SUCKS, not to put too fine a point on it. Guess you might want retool the "Percent Wiki-Nazi-free" down to about 14% at this point. Disgusting. -- ~~~~

1. Does he have a lawyer yet?
2. How can he be so incompetent as to NOT HAVING A LAWYER YET!!!
3. Does he have a plan for getting a lawyer, other than sitting on his ass?
4. Who brought him home? get specific
5. Was he barred from his parents house, or did they throw him out?
6. Of the $3000+ that was raised while he is in Australia, how much does he have left?
7. Other than August advertising, does he have any source of income?
8. Did he do the advertising using Steve's email address?
9. Does he still have a key to the vdubs?
10. What specific actions of his, caused his parents to not welcome him home?

a) race or any other characteristics don't come into this; please put that card back in the pack

b) the policy is I reserve the right to take certain things down first and ask questions later, 'cos I ain't got the time to go deal with in a way which would leave all parties satisfied.

YouSoSpecial said...

What makes you think his parents' house is home? I think the "home" KC refers to and at which he was not welcome was Yulia's house. Of course I would like that clarified. And where he slept last night or showered today.

I would like someone to drive home the point that he could have made a whole lot more money, and not alienated the wife and family, by getting a job and blogging in his spare time. Kindly explore the kind of hourly return KC believes he is getting for the effort he is putting into his blog. The anticipated returns from sweet contacts or other good things don't count - just the sales revenues generated by the blog divided by hours spent blogging. Real business people keep track of that kind of thing, it's called productivity.

Soem Dood,

I don't know about Sharky's issues with the Caseypedia but I do know that G never asked for herself to be edited just remove her parents.

I don't see that as an unfair request.

how about KC's list of anti-spam words as drinking cues?

Dolph said...

Good for you Sharky. I see Casey's sweet links as a way of rewarding his idiot behavior and dream of passive income with zero responsibilities.

lawnmower man said...

Soem Dood, NoDebt replied on CaseyPedia, as did I.

FWIW, though: I see CaseyPedia's role as documenting the saga, with the snark as a bonus.

The deleted content, for me, stepped over the line from snark into outright attack. (For example, "uptight prick".) I don't see that as CaseyPedia's job -- regardless of whether or not it's deserved.

NoDebt's point is, basically: if you want a rumble with Sharky, go do it on your own turf. Doing it on CaseyPedia means that if you go over the line, he's left holding all the liability.

I have to say I have a great deal of sympathy with NoDebt's position. It's much easier to be idealistic when you're not the one taking the risk.

JMHO of course.

FWIW2: I think Sharky did himself no favors by coming on heavy over comments that were originally only on the non-public-facing Talk:Sharky Laguana page. Sharky may have got what he wanted; but he hasn't come out of this little episode looking good.

soem dood said...

I understand.

"Uptight prick" applied to a well-helled white and vocal person who puts a little email squeeze on is totally unacceptable, and

"Buttfly" (and more) and "Ghetto Hoe" (with semi-obscene photo) applied to black, struggling mortgage broker or other apparently weaker folk is perfectly fine.

Kind of hard for *me* to put those cards back in the deck when I am not the dealer in charge of the casino.

Dolph said...

This kind of thing is exactly what Casey wants. He will exploit it.

Soemdood: Mocha plays the stereotype quite well without any of our help. She's so over the top it's sad.

As for Nigel, I see your point 100%. I could agree the "buttfly" comment could be removed. All others do tell a story about a man who at one time was HEAVILY involved with this saga, outted other haterz and was a fly in the ointment. I don't think it will be easy to erase Nigel's early Casey history. I do believe we should make an effort to document his turnaround, though.

Just my 2 cents (sure to be unpopular is my guess).

NoDebtWhatSoEver™ said...

black, struggling mortgage broker

are we talking about the same Nigel Swaby here, or have I missed something?

I'm sure if there really is a Mocha and s/he sent me an email about the picture, I'd take a critical look at it (as it is, I hadn't noticed the picture).

soem dood said...

Thanks for the points, Dolph.

This is the second time I have been kind of elbowed over mentally to see this whole thing from a different point of view, at least momentarily.

Sharky was dead right about some things. In particular about the dangers of group think and the scary power of extra-legal anonymous mobs.

However I still feel he and other supporterz™ are dead wrong to support the admitted ongoing illegal activities of Casey.

I think it has been difficult but amazingly successful so far to keep an amorphous 'virtual' group kind of focused on one thing - Casey's crimes.

I guess Casey has made it about as easy as shooting fish in a hubcap (listening to his Hatercast right now), BUT, there is (and has been) a stench in the background when some people have gotten dragged in and had their own lives affected.

I personally think that Sharky insinuated himself into this as an actor, as an agent, as a vocal ansd willing player on the stage, and so, he appeared to me to be fair game for critical comment. So to have him fall under a protective cloak, provided by key members of "Haterz"™ made me back up and realize that many people who asked for similar relief from what has at times looked to approach net-stalking got no such quarter given to them.

In a wildly improbable turn of events, many of those even folks came out of their experience with eyes opened to Casey, and so the "greater good" might be said to have been done.... right? LMP, Duane, Nigel...

Ah, but what if such fortuitous happenings don't continue in perpetuity?

In fact, what if a huge, colossal mistake is eventually made (so far, several missed guesses as to who the behinds the scenes players are, have been recorded)

Lives really are in the balance.

So I do thank Sharky and Nodebt and lawnmower in one sense for just highlighting the danger inherent, but in Sharky's particular case, I still think my original assessment of his character is properly fixed in my own mind.
