Tuesday Is Court Spagetti Day

No offense to you, Benoit, but how did this "first" thing get started?

Although I sheepishly admit to posting a first comment once, the "first" race reminds me of a great poster:

Murst!!

...ignoring the Holiday Inn comment, even though by omission of the same was obviously not saying "Murst!" was childish...

It's a long standing Internet tradition on blogs and bulletin boards. :-)

It looks like snowflake is pulling an all nighter doing research at a Starbucks.

Anyone going to the courtroom tomorrow? I wonder if he'll go in with the same clothes as in the fraucast.

If anyone goes, bring the digital camera. Love to see before/after shots. Bonus kudos for shots of Marty & his team of virtual assistants.

Triple bonus kudos if the pics have side profiles and numbers underneath them..

Rob, I'm liking the new Casey-lite(tm) format. I realize that it means reduced volume for you (especially volume of responses), but the quality is higher. Some of the best blogs out there have low response count but HUGE readership--Herb Greenberg's blog on MarketWatch comes immediately to mind. I think relegating the Casey topic to first-among-equals in the topics list is a good move, it diversifies your blog enough that it will continue to draw some traffic, even after the Casey Saga ends "not with a bang, but a whimper."

The departure of many of the Haterz(tm) and most of the Haterz Haterz (Haterz^2?) has dramatically improved the signal-to-noise ratio and the overall quality of the blog. Duane is a loss, but from my perspective, good riddance to the rest of them.

Off-topic, but good news for content-rich sites, bad news for click fraudsters:

Nielsen scraps Web page view rankings

"A leading online measurement service will scrap rankings based on the longtime industry yardstick of page views and begin tracking how long visitors spend at the sites."

"The move by Nielsen/NetRatings, expected to be announced Tuesday, comes as online video and new technologies increasingly make page views less meaningful."

"Although Nielsen already measures average time spent and average number of sessions per visitor for each site, it will start reporting total time spent and sessions for all visitors to give advertisers, investors and analysts a broader picture of what sites are most popular."

WHat an ugly woman in that pic. I see enough of that crap at the casinos.

PX,
Thanks for all your recent comments. A big "mark to market" replly is forthcoming. Yes, I like the evolved low count version of EN as well. Quality v. Quantity.

Te pageview vs. eyeball*seconds is another example of evolving standards. Yesterday EN (no ads) had 7700*3:51 and IAFF (w/ads) 7700*2:12.

Again, thanks and look for more of the same subjects that you and I prefer.

Periph Vis,

Guess a certain Casey partner can't be happy with that development ;)

Aren't you arguing (or at least trying to start one), on the Internet? ironic
