Casey Serin Has Called
Casey did call late in the day on Saturday. We had an hour long discussion on our specific publishing agreement and why the lack of communication for so many days.
Casey did share some rather disturbing things going on behind the scenes during the week. We'll reserve comment on this for a later time if needed.
Just to be clear to everyone, we are not involved with any other dealings with Casey, nor anyone else, except for our specific agreement with Casey and The Foreclosure Code Book Series.
We'll be discussing more with Casey on Monday or Tuesday on how we can conclude our business relationship in a fair and acceptable manner for both of us. Regardless of all happening in Casey's life, we do wish him and his family the best.
This has been a lot of wasted time, money, and effort. Negative energy and drama does not make for a successful book, product, or business. Just not worth the uncertainty and inconsistency to continue. It's like trying to build a business and brand on quicksand.
Please note, we are being very tactful and professional with our dealings with Casey. The only reason we are making these posts here is so we can stop speculation regarding our company's involvement with Casey and The Foreclosure Code Book Series.
Next post will have the in-depth factual analysis of key points of our agreement...
I'm not so sure about the wishing Casey well at this point.

I wonder what that could mean. Disturbing things involving Mark and Duane? Seems unlikely since judging by the timeline, everything seemed honky-dory from Duane and Mark's perspective prior to the unravelling on Saturday.
So it appears there is another skeleton in Fliptard's closet. Or maybe there is something going on with him and G. Also, that appears "unlikely" to me being that her posts seemed to indicate she was oblivious to anything going on in the background.

I don't know exactly the context between CSL and Duane, but I know that in most cases Duane is willing to discuss his motives and intentions as long as it is approached from a respectful manner. Again, I don't know the context of their disagreement.

I don't get over to CHC as often as I'd like so I can't comment on his post. I can only speak for my own personal experiences. When I've had a question of his intentions, I e-mailed him, got a response and was satisfied.
When you attack his character, as from what I've been told, was done with the post about G, he has the right to come unglued. I have read from G, herself, that Duane has been nothing but respectful and treated her "like a father".
This is what hate does to people. Nothing good can come of it. Keep that in mind, hater children.
If it weren't for my suspicions that Marty unleashed his hoards of cyber-assistant trolls here on EN, I might actually be rooting for him. After all, he might be the only entity (besides Jamba Juice) to actually get any cash outta Casey!
Duane has been more than Civil, considering every time he posts 1-3 people start questioning his motivation or giving him crap because they dont like the business he's in. Its just gotten old. I'm surprised he hasnt bolted or come unglued at some of the "why shouldn't Galina be thrown under the bus" threads.

I remember that in the beginning the term Haterz (TM) was used tongue-in-cheek. A real Haterz was someone who was tired of giving excellent advice to fliptard & was just a Frustratedz.

the iaff auction might not be real, but the winning bid is currently foreclosurecode.com (at $20,100, ha ha). if marty can hold the site, mark will have to attack. is marty as stupid/weak as casey in the face of legal yipyap? i doubt it. if casey's mad at duane, and not at marty, and if casey believes selling to marty solves more potential problems then selling to duane... a nation watches and waits.

You are correct that only Casey's mom's money is invested in the project so far. However, Duane says the book is ready to publish. Marty links its success with visibility on iaff.com. He's not Randomhouse, and probably has no marketing budget, but correctly identifies the potential to sell directly through the web site. Whether Mark disagrees with the story focus or would prefer a broader story starring an aged Al Pacino as Lost Mittens does not really matter (except to Mark. Hey, if you want to write a book, jackoff, get a pencil.) If it costs $20,100 to do so, Marty already has a fairly sound idea that the site is worth at least that much, based on Duane's offer. It complicates matters, compelling Marty to form a partnership (perhaps with Duane himself) to recover those costs, but it secures his book marketing avenue. Vs. fucking it in the goatass. Duane may have deep pockets and ways to capitalize on the domain, but Marty simply needs it more.
It's not clear how much Mark would object to the sale, because it disregards his claim on Casey's story. But I wouldn't want my standing to hinge on that dubious claim. He doesn't actually want to hire those bigdick attorneys he claims to swap humjobs with. Still, Marty might require real legal defense, but it looks like a clusterfuck to me, in which once again Marty can win by being hungrier than Mark. Stopping Marty, an able buyer with a freaky contract that none-the-less ascribes certain rights and limitations, might make Mark's standing with the court start to stink. Seriously, he's blowing smoke when he says Marty has no claim here. Mark is a professional smoke-blower. Marty's just hungrier.
While you're all moralizing (frequently with great cause), a real deal's going down. Duane sacrificed himself at the hubris of adoring retard haterzcast fans who hang on his every drawling slander. He alienated his buyer, opening the seller to a conciliatory audience with Marty. How much objection will Mark have to a non-Duane buyer and a non-Mark book? Does playing king dick pro tem jeopardize his larger moral objectives? And how much is Marty smoke, and how much fire?
