That wily Bloomberg again. This time a different hedge fund with a different strategy and a different outlook but the same damn results. The two hedge funds that Ralph Cioffi managed were so hot that some investors had to call a friend at his firm, Bear Stearns Cos., to get his attention. Cioffi's employer and associates, dazzled by 40 consecutive months without a loss for one of the funds, invested at least $35 million of their own money with him.::yawn:: Been there, done that, bought the movie rights.
Cioffi was convinced that the securities firms loaded up on new CDOs in late 2006 and early this year, expecting to sell them later when investor appetite improved. By the spring, after dozens of home lenders failed and the subprime mortgage market imploded, the Wall Street securities firms and other CDO underwriters started dumping collateralized debt, pushing their prices lower.
At the same time, those firms ended derivative bets on defaults of subprime-mortgage bonds used as hedges for the CDO holdings, pushing the values of those contracts also lower. That ruined both sides of Cioffi's trade, at least temporarily. Investors in his funds were upset, and they began asking for their money back.

Points and arguments raised are no more or less valid because they come from someone called "anonymous" or someone "known'.
There is no good reason why you can't consider what's said rather than who says it.

I respect what you're doing, not just working hard to deal with the fiscal crap that Casey left you, but also for putting up with so much from him up to his point. We can't always choose who we love, but we can choose how we love and you've shown that you are a good and strong woman. You deserve a better man and happiness, and you're young enough that I'm sure you'll find both.

I am dating a girl that is Ukrainian and can understand the obligation that you felt toward Casey, to support him etc, but you have made the right decision. You appear to be a much stronger person than him and have a full grasp of the situation that HE put you both in. I tried to talk some since to him on many occasions as you know, and I am glad that you finally decided to say "Pa-ka".
I am sure that this is an Independence Day in many regards.

We don't know if Casey went AUS->WA or AUS->CA->WA. My guess is that he went straight through, he doesn't apparently have the cash to do it in steps. CA has nothing but problems he heaped on himself anyway.
