Another Piece of the Puzzle

[Nigel] were you the other person moderating Casey's comments?

Yes I was. I did it for about a week only a few times a day. Wordpress beats the heck out of blogger when it comes to comment moderation.

Congratulations you dawgged detectives. Yet another slimy bit of double dealing under the radar dishonesty is forced through the lying teeth of our local pervaricator.

It was pretty amazing how quickly people caught on and equally amazing that Nigel thought he could keep it quiet.

God you idiots....
I am a long-time Casey hater who is turning into a EN "FIRST!!!" poster hater. Grow the fuck up and watch this hilarious video about your practices - realize that the Internet community finds the whole phenomenon incredibly juvenile, retarded, and annoying as hell.

Yes.... and I realize the irony.... apologies for the bad mood, I was just upset that Snowflake won't sell me his blue ball- at least until his next jump-the-shark-a-thon, and I took it out on our resident EN FIRST'ers!

Aspeth said...

Personally, I find Nigel's new pandering to the haterz community to be far more offensive than anything he's ever done. And frankly, he started that shit about 48 hours after the 'outings'.

Fuck him and the teeny little horse he rode in on. Nigel Swaby is an ill-informed half-wit with an opportunistic streak comparable only to Casey Serin.

Anonymous said...

Hey Tony - how did you get Steph J. to pose with you on the cover of Vanity Fair ?

Anonymous said...

Well, that explains why all of my anti-Nigel posts never made it through during that time..

Talk about a dumbass.

Never mind, Annie shot it...

Schnapps said...

I second what Aspeth said.

In other news, I'm finally watching the Kiyosaki video with Snowflake on it (because I have 45 minutes to kill before dinner and I won't be upset if I don't get them back). After touting "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" he won't even listen to Kiyosaki himself. I find it amusing that his "hero" is laughing at him.

Stupid is, as stupid does. Sweet.

April 7th, 2007 at 5:29 pm Hey, the show was actually pre-taped about 3 months ago. That’s why some of the stuff was a little out dated.

So when I say I was making $3,000 consulting, I really was back when I was working for Chris on a regular basis for a few weeks.

Recently I had less jobs so I am making less. This doesn’t mean that I can’t make $3K or $8K next month. In fact I probably will.

April 7th, 2007 at 6:03 pm Yeah, I did kind of look like a zombie… I was watching this thing tonight with a few friends of mine and we were laughing at me.

Trying to remember the taping from 3 months ago. I had to be in the studio in Sacramento at 6AM. I remember being confident but kind of jittery from drinking too much coffee. So I think maybe I was trying to over-compensate by trying to be still. I was also probably a little bit nervous. I’m normally a little more natural on camera. I don’t know what happen this time. Also I had too much styling wax in my hair and I don’t think I had time to take a shower that morning. My face was also way too shiny.

Why does the media attempt to use him as an example in the context of people losing their homes due to subprime loans and/or declining RE prices?

There are very few folks in similar situations to CS. Almost anyone who got hung speculating on multiple houses will file BK, they don't need all this guru/mentor/blog shit, just a trip to the accountant and lawyer (unless there are extenuating circumstances such as fraud).

Most of the people in trouble are trying desperately to save their HOMES. Casey has absolutely nothing to lend to that discussion.

79. Casey Serin
April 7th, 2007 at 6:33 pm On the show she was referring to the first round of seminars at $15K. I spent another $15+ in 2006 on more seminars but that was after doing a couple of flips.

I don’t know EXACTLY how much i’ve spent on RE education at this point so I loosely say $30K where $15K was the original Russ Whitney set of 3 bootcamps: wholesaling, lease options and foreclosure, plus a general bootcamp that shows all the different strategies.

On the $3K/month. Now that I think about it, I don’t know if I actually made $3K for a month with Chris. But I DID already have that job. I think I JUST started working with Chris at that time (Dec-Jan, somewhere around that time)

So I had PROJECTED income of $3K/month. Nothing wrong with stating you’re making $3K/month even if you haven’t completed that month. Here is why:

Imagine you just got a salaried job, say, making $50K per year. Somebody asks you “How much are you making?” and you say “I’m making $50K per year” even if you haven’t worked a full year yet. It’s just the way normal people talk. Normal people don’t say “NO, YOU’RE WRONG, you haven’t made $50K yet because you just got the job!!”. Normal people understand what you’re getting at. But NO, not the haters!

COME ON YOU HATERS!! Give me a freakin’ break for once. Why do you keep saying that I’m lying?? You just have your views set about me and that’s all you see.

And to the guy trying to post my newsgroup chain letter from 10 year ago, here is the link about Revisiting Old Mistakes. I already explained that a long time ago. Come on, everybody makes mistakes.

I’m getting tired of some of you haters. I don’t know why I keep allowing these comments on this blog. Don’t any of you have anything constructive to say?

Are you serious? To the person who said he will match me if I make $8K in a month… If we can find a way to hold you to it I would take you on for this challenge! I’m not talking about borrowing more money either. As part of the challenge I’m prepared to EARN $8K legally and fairly 30 days from the time we start the challenge.

81. Casey Serin
April 7th, 2007 at 6:51 pm Reason I didn’t follow Suze’s advice 3-4 months ago when we first taped this segment:

I was being idealistic hoping to find a way to “repay every dirty penny” and save all the homes from foreclosure. Delcaring Chapter 7 bankruptcy would have cause the secured lenders to file for releive of automatic stay and foreclose on me.

So the main reason I have been delaying bankruptcy I gave myself time to attempt to sell the homes, or lease option or short sale, basicaly, do whatever I gotta do to avoid foreclosure. Well, I DID try.

Why did I even care about the lenders? Well I felt responsible to pay back the loans I take out. So some of it was a moral and ethical issues. The other part is I wanted a challenge of digging myself out of this whole before trowing in the towel.

Also, I disagree with Suze on doing BK at that point of the game. Even though I was behind on a few payments, it was STILL worth avoiding foreclosure and bringing the payment current.

A foreclosure on the credit record is MUCH worse than 5 late payments for the purposes for applying for more mortages in the future. (Or that’s what I hear from most mortgage brokers that I asked).

That’s why I didn’t just BK and throw in the towel. But now I have 4 foreclosure under my belt and the picture is very different.

I feel there has been SOME victory though: I DID wrap one house in Utah and perhaps I will short sale the one in Modesto if the buyers close. So that’s some success in avoiding foreclosure right there.

I’m glad I tried to stop foreclosure. I have no regrets. I learned a lot. It has been tought but it’s still a positive experience as I take my lessons and the new opportunities and run with it.

FAILING FORWARD!
82. Casey Serin
April 7th, 2007 at 6:53 pm To sum it up: attempting to stop foreclosure on 6 homes gave me the experience to see what works and what doesn’t and try the different options. Now I have the background to help others in foreclosure. It doesn’t matter that I didn’t succeed. Just going through the fire was enough to understand and help others who are in the fire. I’ve been truly blessed through this experience!

‘Normal people’ also aren’t in the world of s**t you are Casey…neither they nor any of the haters I know is $1.8 million or $2.2 million in debt. So since you’re the one who made the issue of your debt (how ever much it may be), you have to expect the readers of your blog to also make an issue of your income (whatever that may be). They’re also making an issue of the fact that your reality changes to suit your immediate needs.

Actually, we all gave you the benefit of the doubt for many, many months. When it became clear that you are a malicious thief and con man, we made our decisions.

Same goes for Nigel (bringing this post full circle). Just because the two of you are trying to play bullshit little semantic games doesn't mean that we're going to convert to your bullshit. The time for that was in the "reserving judgement" period.

That period is long over.

What grinds my gears about Casey is that he takes a nugget of truth, wraps it it shit, and then thinks he has five pounds of gold.

For example, in my line of work, just about everyone has either started or worked for a failed startup at some point. Some people have worked for a few of them. It's fine, it's expected, it's even normal. But the people who are writing the books and getting the sweet gigs as keynote speakers, and generally making a name for themselves as someone whose advice is valuable, have had some unmitigated successes as well as their failures. And that's what Casey does not have. Wrapping Utah and MAYBE (I'll believe it when I see it) short-selling Modesto doesn't make him a success. It just makes him less of a failure.

DETERIORATA

Introduction

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.....
Deteriorata! Deteriorata!

Go placidly
Amid the noise and waste.
And remember what comfort there may be
In owning a piece thereof.

Avoid quiet and passive persons
Unless you are in need of sleep.

Ro-tate your tires.

Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself
And heed well their advice,
Even though they be turkeys.

Know what to kiss.....and when!

Consider that two wrongs never make a right
But that THREE.........do.

Wherever possible, put people on hold.

Be comforted that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment
And despite the changing fortunes of time,
There is always a big future in computer main-te-nance.

Chorus

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.

Remember the Pueblo.

Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mu-ti-late.

Know yourself.
If you need help, call the FBI.

Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
Especially with those persons closest to you.
That lemon on your left, for instance.

Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls
Would scarcely get your feet wet.

Fall not in love therefore;
It will stick to your face.

Gracefully surrender the things of youth:
The birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan
And let not the sands of time
Get in your lunch.

Hire people with hooks.

For a good time call 606-4311;
Ask for "Ken."

Take heart amid the deepening gloom
That your dog is finally getting enough cheese.

And reflect that whatever misfortune may be your lot
It could only be worse in Milwaukee.

Chorus

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.

Therefore, make peace with your god
Whatever you conceive him to be---
Hairy thunderer, or cosmic muffin.

With all its hopes, dreams, promises and urban renewal
The world continues to deteriorate.

GIVE UP!

Reprise

You are a fluke
Of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.

Hmmm, so Snowflake INTENDED to make 3k/month, therefore it must have been O.K. for him to state that he made 3k/month. Now, he INTENDS to make 8k - I guess that means he now gets to claim 8k/month. After all, reality doesn't matter - the only truth is what Snowflake INTENDS! (sarcasm off)

When Snowflake tells a lie, he is speaking in his true nature.

Anonymous said...

Why do we call you a liar, Casey? BECAUSE YOU LIE ALL THE TIME.

It's actually quite simple. You didn't have a salaried position with a guaranteed paycheck, from the beginning it was contingent upon you doing things and was month-to-month. Therefore, no you can't say you make $3,000 a month, you were, at the time, making NO MONEY a month and - as you just said - projecting you were going to make $3k.

You also LIED about wanting to pay back the lenders. Do you really want us to go find you comments from when you were taping it to show you'd already waffled on that?

You're lying NOW, you didn't spend $30k on real estate guru nonsense, you spent $50,000. Did you forget to add in the last seminar stupidity? That you took out a $20,000-odd loan for? To add to the $30 from the previous years. FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. Liar.

Anonymous said...

Waht gets me was his remark about working for Chris, and $3K income.

To hear KC tell it... he doesn't really remember WHEN he started working for Chris, and has no idea... to this day... just how much Chris has paid him.

Near as I can tell, among months and a myriad of excuses, KC has never put in a full month for Chris. And never even got a total of $3K over the (now 4 months) that he's been "working" for him.

Amazing how frequently KC plays the "I really don't know" card.

How much is your auto insurance? How much do you make a month? What is your cell phone bill? What did you get as cash-back-at-close for each of your transactions? What did you claim as annual income in order to qualify for your loans?

In every case, KC answers each of these questions with a heartfelt "I really don't know..."

Anonymous said...

He mentions working for Chris "for a few weeks".

Here's my theory on the whole Chris Record thing.

Chris is involved in the MLM RE "university" scam. I figure he conned Casey into doing IT stuff on the cheap while convincing him to fork over the $$$$ to attend NR "University". The "late night meetings" were MLM brainwashing sessions.

Chris made more money off of snowflake than he paid him.

sweet deal (for Chris)

Oh damn. I missed it. It was either that, or miss dinner (and since I wasn't cooking, I thought that was more important).

Schnapps said...

Ok, I couldn't resist. I posted this at IAFF:

You're right, Casey. The following is quite confusing

There is a difference, Casey. The 3K you're referring to is projected because it is contingent on commissions, etc. The 50K isn't contingent on that: its a regular salary with a regular paycheque that comes at regular intervals, whether that's weekly, biweekly, twice a month, monthly, etc. Your 3K isn't a regular thing.

Its like saying to a child, "I'm giving you $5/week for allowance", vs. "I'll give you $2 per chore you do over the month." The former gives the child a regular allowance of $5/per week. The latter is contingent on ACTIONS DONE BY THE CHILD. If the child does no chores, no money.

What action have you taken, Casey?

Not that this'll get through. But, according to the security word, its "sweet".

Casey,

We all had constructive things to say for months. You ignored everybody's constructive comments. Everyone's. So the answer is, yes we do, and yes we have. But you can't hear it because you've got your fingers in your ears and the biggest freakin' set of blinders I've ever seen a person wear.

Casey got burned by C**** to the tune of $22k. That is why Casey waffles about his paychecks. In your eagerness to blame the hapless Snowball(tm), you ignore the greater crime. Don't blame Casey because he never put in a full month's work for a full month's pay -- blame the unscrupulous employer for offering a contract, such as it seems. Is this kind of stuff even legal in California? We are not living in England of the 1830s.

Okay, I was kind of joking when I said earlier that Nigel is running like 27 different blogs.

But all is clearly not as well in Young Nigel's mortgage world as he would like everyone to believe. Otherwise, why else would he be 'claiming' these blogs on technorati:

Methinks Nigel spends a LOT of time online for someone who claims to be successful writing paper...

Beginning to wonder if Nigel really is done with Casey.

For Nigel to distance himself from Casey while still receiving traffic from IAFF would appear to be "win/win". I still think the guy is full of shit.

Anonymous said...

In fact, I got 10 to 1 Asshat wrote this and attributed to Casey:

"Nigel, you're right. I almost made my classic mistake of impulsively chasing yet another "shiny object". I didn't mean to offend you by this. I simply wanted to consider another strategy.

But as you said, that was wrong of me to try to change things up last minute. You have already invested lots of time and effort into this and we have a great plan in place.

I can see how you are feeling very frustrated with me. I told my wife about this and she got upset with me too.

I sincerely apologize for my behavior.

And I appreciate all your hard work and effort you've put into this thing. I don't want to let this partnership fail because of my impulsivity. I must start changing my ways or I will continue sabotaging future opportunities.
If it's not too late please re-consider working with me.

I promise not to do this kind of thing to you again and follow the terms of the agreement.

Please let me know. Thanks."

oh, one other thing about the nigey-poo blogs: in technorati, he describes his 'dont hate casey blog' as "a place to comment on the Casey Serin trainwreck in real time." Since I don't visit DHC, I don't know if that's the actual tagline he's using over there, but I'd harken a guess that it isn't.

This might seem like it would actually hurt people suffering distress in their finances, but if you look at reality, Casey doesn't get distressed homeowner traffic.

My post:
Casey,

I saw you on Susie Ormon, I'm hoping you can help me. I live in Colorado and I haven't been able to keep making my loan payments. My lender says they are going to do a trustee sale on April 10th. Is it all over for me if they do the sale? Can I buy the property back? What would it take for them to let me keep the home my kids have been raised in?

Please help,

Diane

He'll obviously pick this post up, but what happens if a lot of people pose potential foreclosure issues? Does he blow them off, does he address them with his limited knowledge?

Nobody is currently looking to him for advice, so it's not like anyone with an issue will be lost in traffic.

What's the biggest sob story that could be presented with some element of realism? Does Casey have the time, and knowledge to do any kind of response?

you if you include casey)

im not sure who is the bigger fool, casey for 'working' for you
or you for 'hiring' him

good luck on your charity case

***

his response...((in hindsight even though im sure its all about the MLM NR university was very level headed and professional. he took the high road unlike nigel))

I am sorry that you feel that way about me. The majority of commenters on his blog all recommended that Casey should get a full time job, and I thought that many people would be happy that Casey has finally followed their advice and done that. While he has not been skilled in his real estate deals, he is skilled with technology and database organization, and the services that I need. I have had a need for someone to assist me in my database organization and tech issues, and Casey has some decent skills in this area. In fact, he could probably get a high paying programming job if he wanted. I saw this as a win win situation by providing Casey with a base income, while at the same time getting a useful assistant for a very small monthly investment.

I don't know why someone would feel the need to write negatively about me online. I haven't done anything that should deserve that. I grew up with my mom working for charities, and I have always had a passion to help people whenever I can. So this is my small way of paying it forward. But I am a businessman at the same time, so if Casey does not perform, then I will not continue to pay him. We have recently revised our work agreement and I am happy with his performance so far.

I believe strongly in working with integrity and good ethics. I do not agree with the way that Casey purchased his properties, or in his actions since then, but I do believe in giving people a second chance. If he needs to do time because of this and pay significant restitution, then so be it. Until then, I will continue to give him a shot at working with me. I hope that this helps clear some things up for you. It is your choice if you want to continue to feel the way you do about me, but perhaps you will choose to give me the benefit of the doubt as a decent person until I prove myself otherwise.

I wish you and your family the best.

You know anonymous has a point. If we all created faux-web based emails and sent him a flood of heartfelt pleas for help in our foreclosure situation, it would be incrediby interesting to figure out what his response would be. Certainly he would send out some sort of form letter requesting further information yada yada. But I'm curious to see how he is equipped NOW. I'm thinking not at all...

Anonymous said...

I'm sure the extent of his "help" will be to forward you on to a "foreclosure specialist" (read equity stripper) who just happens to pay Casey a commission for each referral.

Anonymous said...

The way to test his motives would be to resist his recommendations to talk with Casey's specialist friend and tell him you want to do it yourself. Then hound Casey personally for foreclosure advice. Then you can see if he's really interested in giving out free foreclosure advice. Methinks Casey doesn't want to help, he only wants to harvest.

Anonymous said...

I just hate the way Casey and his ilk always spout this "we get paid to help people!" bullshit. Unless you work for a charity or a government agency, you don't get paid to help people. In all other situations, the helpee is paying the helper, meaning the "helping" is mutual.

Justin,

I'm a hater. I have a w-2 job that makes substantially more than 50K. I used to give Casey good advice. He ignored it, even though he coul tell that one IP I log on with comes from the DOJ.

Casey, Jerome Mayne told yourself to turn state's evidence and turn yourself in. That is VERY good advice, and represents at this point the easiest way to start getting out of your situation. You're going to have a very hard time paying taxes this year (that's why you're filing for an extension right?), and next year is worse. You have , at my count , about 15 lines of credit out there that have gone to collection. Then there ar the potential judgements against you outside of CA.

Then there's the matter of whether or not you'll get prosecuted. I'd wager next year...the clock starts after April 15 this year. You have folks like Rachel Dollar (mortgagefraudblog), Robert Simpson (writer of the Scotsman Guide), and an Assistant US Attorney forwarding any and all information about you to the SAC and LA FBI offices. They are aware of you, but cases take time to build because they are very careful to make sure that all the ends are covered.

You move Casey. April 16th, if nothing's changed, I'm going to start calling too. And other folks. It's not about hurting you, its about stopping you from hurting yourself, your wife, and your family more.

So I guess Im not a hater, really?

Haterz demand answerz from the following responsible parties in the Casey Serin saga:

1. FBI - Casey has admitted to lying on loans, taking illegal cashback at closing, taking out loans that he had no intent to repay, and a myriad of other offenses. Why is he still walking the streets? Haterz will even pay to upgrade the Sac FBI office from 56k dialup to DSL so that you can read IAFF for yourselves.

2. Sac D.A. - see #1 above and two of the foreclosures are in your jurisdiction. Do you enjoy looking like a dumbass every time fliptard posts a photo of himself downing wheatgrass shots after bilking the banks in your hometown?

3. Russian uncles - You loaned fliptard a sizeable chunk of change and he obviously has no way or intention to repay you. Why are his kneecaps still unbroken? Is all the stuff we read about the Russian mafia just bullshit? You've been beaten by a kid with a murse.

4. Steph J - Casey has neither been run over by a dirty jeep as promised nor have his balls received a sensual steel-toe massage. We need to see some serious bumper-on-fliptard action SOON.

Oh and I gotta say that the 'Can I Afford It?' segment is as creepy as Casey's Begathon.

No more MSNBC for me...although I think the real reason didn't say much of anything helpful for the rip-n-burntard is that not only does she not have anything helpful to say, she couldn't get Casey to cough up the cash for her form of credit repair (her FICO Kit).

Home Loans: A Nightmare Grows Darker

While subprime borrowers try to climb out of the holes they fell into, those who sold and packaged the loans are laughing all the way to the bank. “Folks who ran these companies are going to walk away not just unscathed but extraordinarily well rewarded,” Mr. Calhoun said.

“If you’re trying to do social engineering, it should be to put people in homes so they can build up equity as a cushion for economic shock,” Mr. Rosner said. “But unless they have significant equity, they are not homeowners; they are renters. We’ve created a society where we love the term homeownership, yet we can’t allow people to understand that they are being taken advantage of by the term.”

Maybe somebody should tell Nigel his sense of timing is terrible. Having T-Shirts and mugs printed at this late stage is like selling "Where's the beef?" shirts in 1985. Toooooo late my friend.

Back in 1995, my friends and I realized that with Hugh Grant getting caught receiving a BJ on Sunset Blvd. the day before his big movie Premiere, we could sell some shirts down at the Fisherman's Wharf to some touristas. Remember this pic? We made about $2,000 for 3 hours work. 100 shirts, $20 a pop. And then, like that, it was over. We didn't print a second run cause we knew we'd have a hell of a lot of Hugh Grant shirts.

So my point is, Nigel, that you need to strike while the iron is hot. The hate may seem strong today, but not strong enough for any realist to give you a dime. Plus, speaking for many, most of us can't stand you. And the ones that can, probably wouldn't give you a penny either.

A news item for the past week or so involves the detention of a guy with super-tuberculosis. He wouldn't wear his mask in public, so he was locked up for safety reasons. He refused to follow any precautions necessary to protect others from his highly contagious, almost untreatable disease. He is a Russian imma-grint.

For the first time I heard his voice on the CNN this morning, on a recording made from his cell to the media. His accent...his inflection...his goddammed attitude...he could be Casey! He sounds just like him. He refused to acknowledge his obligation to attempt to contain his disease, and he was indignant that he was locked up. He was unrepentant, unmindful of any potential harm to others, and petulant. The similarity to our hero was thought-provoking. Is Casey's shitty behavior in the US a Russian thing?
